Reborn : Space Intelligent Woman

”Sister Yu, put me down.” Tang Heng Nuo said.

Yu Qi followed Tang Heng Nuo’s request, putting her down. Tang Heng Nuo ran toward the kids and stopped in front of them.

”You don’t have to cry anymore. You will see your Daddy and Mummy soon. No one will hit you anymore. If someone dares to hit you, I will ask my Sister Yu to hit them back. Oh, we already beat up the bad people. The police already caught them because they are the bad people. The police will take them to jail.” Tang Heng Nuo said.

The kids went silent. No more crying. They stared at Tang Heng Nuo.

”We are the police. We come to save you, bringing you out of this place. So, please, don’t cry.” The police officer spoke up.

The police officers walked slowly toward the kids. They were relieved that the kids did not suddenly start crying. They were trying to hold their tears back. Yu Qi checked one of the kids’ conditions. She was having a mild fever and was malnourished.

The human traffickers probably did not give them enough food. They were afraid the kid might have the energy to run away. Yu Qi gritted her teeth in silence.

The police officers gave some food for the kids to fill their stomachs. When they finally got the food, they stared at the food and then at the police officers.

”Why are you not eating?” The police officer asked the oldest-looking kid in that group.

The kid answered in a trembling voice. ”We have to wait for the man to say the word ’eat’, only then are we allowed to eat. Otherwise, we will get beaten.”

The police officers wanted to get angry and curse the human traffickers.

”Everyone, you can eat now,” Yu Qi said to the kids.

When the kids were eating, the ambulances that the police officers called had arrived. The police officers explained to the paramedics who arrived at the scene. They needed to wait for a while, waiting for the kid to finish eating.

As for the villagers, the police officers put them under house arrest. They would not allow us to go out of the village. The police officers needed to determine whether all of them were involved in this human trafficking crime.

One of the villagers, an old woman, explained to the police officer that they had been the couple and their friends who had brought back a child a couple of times in the past. She thought the child belonged to their friends. She never saw the child leave. So, she asked the couple about that kid. The couple told her that the kid had already returned home with their friend. So, she did not think about human trafficking at all.

The paramedics finally managed to bring out all of the kids from the basement and drove them to the nearby hospital. The police officers felt relieved for a second. They knew this was not over yet and would need to fully investigate the crime.

However, there was one thing that the police officers had been curious about. It was how Yu Qi managed to find Tang Heng Nuo in this remote area, how Yu Qi knew exactly where Tang Heng Nuo was. They asked Yu Qi about that.

”I got help from my friend tracking the people who took away my little sister.” Yu Qi came out with a story with half-truths inside it.

”Is he a hacker?” The police officer asked.

”Yeah... You can say so.” Yu Qi admitted.

”No wonder...” The Police officer nodded several times.

”Sir, can I return home now? My auntie must be so worried having her daughter missing.” Yu Qi asked.

”Oh... Yes... Of course, we are sorry to keep you here. Please go home.” The police officer said.

D immediately picked up Tang Heng Nuo.

”Sister Yu, will the kids be safe?” Tang Heng Nuo asked when they were already inside the car.

”Of course, honey. The police officer will take them to their daddy and mummy.” Yu Qi said.

”I see. That is great.” Tang Heng Nuo nodded.

Yu Qi called Su Xiao. Su Xiao answered the call right away.

”Yu Qi, please tell me you have some good news.” Su Xiao said.

She had been pacing around. She was worried about her daughter. She already called his husband, Tang Jang Qin, telling him about this matter. Tang Jang Qin abandoned his job and rushed home.

”Yes, Auntie Su Xiao, I have the good news. I have found Heng Nuo. She is fine. Nothing happened to her.” Yu Qi stated.

”Really? Can I hear her voice?” Su Xiao asked.

”Hmm...” Yu Qi said.

Then, Su Xiao could hear Yu Qi talking to Tang Heng Nuo.

”Heng Nuo, Mummy wants to talk to you.” Yu Qi said.

”Really? I want to talk to Mummy.” Tang Heng Nuo was excited.

Yu Qi gave the phone to Tang Heng Nuo, giving her the chance to talk to her mother.

”Mummy!” Tang Heng Nuo shouted excitedly.

”Oh... My daughter... It is really my daughter.” Su Xiao was also excited to hear her daughter’s voice. ”Are you okay, my dear?”

”Hmm... I am feeling happy today, having an adventure.” Tang Hen Nuo said.

”Really? Let’s hear about the adventure that you have.” Su Xiao stated.

”Hmm... I will tell you when I return home. Mummy will never believe it.” Tang Heng Nuo said.
