Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

Chapter 130: The Sovereign of Ideals (Power Stone Milestone Extra Chapter 2/2)

In the real world, at the Porta Vista estate.

Wisps of steam rose from the hot-spring pool. Asher leaned against a rock at the pool’s edge, his arms resting on either side.

”This hot spring is much more comfortable than the Gym’s swimming pool.”

Misty sank her shoulders deeper into the water until only her head and neck remained above the surface.

”The pool at Cerulean Gym is meant for training,” Asher replied with his eyes closed. ”This one is meant for relaxing. How could they possibly feel the same?”

”Speaking of which...”

Cynthia turned toward Asher.

”The third episode should be starting soon, shouldn’t it?”

”Mm.”

Misty counted on her fingers.

”It should be about time.”

Misty and Cynthia exchanged a glance before simultaneously turning toward Asher.

”Honey.”

Misty’s voice suddenly became three degrees gentler.

”You wouldn’t happen to have a third daughter, would you?”

”Ahem.”

Asher opened his eyes and tactically cleared his throat.

”This hot spring is wonderful. Let’s not discuss subjects that could damage our relationship.”

Misty and Cynthia simultaneously reached out from either side and twisted the soft flesh around his waist.

”Hiss—!!”

[Ding! The intermission has ended. The livestream will now continue.]

At that exact moment, the system notification sounded.

Asher reacted as though he had received a divine pardon.

”It’s starting! It’s starting! Let’s watch the video first!”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Ash]: Seven days have passed! They’ve finally passed! Pikachu, wake up!

[Pikachu]: Pika! (Thunderbolt warning!)

[Iris]: We finally made it to Episode Three! Who’s going to be the main character this time? It should be Unova’s turn, right?! ٩(๑＞◡＜๑)۶

[May]: If it’s Hoenn, it might be Max!

[Max]: Don’t tease me, May. How could I possibly compare to Tiana and Raina?

[Lance]: Judging from the previous episodes, Asher remains the central figure. He appeared in both consecutive episodes, after all.

[Professor Juniper]: Statistically speaking, the probability that three consecutive protagonists would share the same father is so low that it can almost be disregarded.

[Professor Kukui]: Therefore, if the third protagonist is another one of his daughters, statistics will no longer be able to explain it.

[Steven]: You’ve all spent so long discussing it that I think it would be easier to ask Brother Asher directly. @Asher

[Asher]: Steven, are you itching for another beating?

[Wallace]: Don’t attempt to reason with a man whose brain is made of stone. Steven’s entire thought process has already become mineralized.

[Steven]: Thank you for the compliment.

[Wallace]: I wasn’t complimenting you.

The countdown on the screen reached its final second.

A system notification sounded.

[Ding!]

[Parallel-World Celebrity Series, Episode Three, will now begin.]

The text on the screen settled into a striking title.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Ash]: ?

[Gary]: ?

[Lance]: The very thing we feared has happened.

[Iris]: She’s another one of Asher’s daughters! Her name is... Miori?

[Dawn]: And her mother is... Miss Elesa?!

[Steven]: Hahahahaha! I knew it! This isn’t the Parallel-World Celebrity Series at all—it’s Brother Asher’s Daughter Series! I suggest renaming it Asher’s Daughters!

[Wallace]:@Asher, I refuse to believe this livestream has nothing to do with you.

[Lorelei]:@Elesa, do you have any thoughts as the new heroine?

[Elesa]: Don’t ask me! I don’t know anything!

[Skyla]: Hahahaha! I’ve never seen Elesa react like this before!

[Lenora]: This truly is shocking. Elesa is normally so composed.

[Skyla]: I’m suddenly curious. Does Asher meet Elesa’s usual standards for a partner?

[Roxie]: In terms of appearance, he probably does. Asher is definitely one of the more handsome types.

[Elesa]: Stop analyzing things like that, both of you!

[Iris]: The Sovereign of Ideals! That title sounds incredible!

[Dawn]: Her Legendary Pokémon are Thundurus and Zekrom! They’re Legendary Pokémon from Unova!

[Diantha]: Zekrom... I believe I’ve heard of it. According to legend, it’s a Dragon-type Pokémon that pursues ideals.

[Alder]: More precisely, Zekrom acknowledges and follows those who possess unwavering ideals.

[N]: ...

[Steven]:@Elesa, Miss Elesa, I’d like to ask you a question on Brother Asher’s behalf. What do you currently think of him?

[Elesa]: I don’t think anything of him! I don’t even know him!

[Asher]:@Steven, why are you asking ridiculous questions?

[Steven]: Brother Asher, prolonged pain is worse than brief pain. I’m only trying to help you!

[Asher]: I don’t need your help!

[Dawn]: Ah! The cover illustration is appearing!

The girl on the screen sat in a chair wearing headphones. Her smooth black hair fell loosely around her shoulders, while her blue eyes carried a faint chill.

Her left arm rested casually on the armrest, and her right hand held a Master Ball as though she were grasping unquestionable authority.

To her left, silver-blue electricity enveloped Thundurus as countless bolts of lightning danced wildly through the clouds.

To her right, Zekrom spread its enormous black wings. Electric arcs crawled across its steel-like scales, making even the surrounding air appear to tremble.

[VIP Chat Group]

[Jasmine]: Wow! So this is Miss Elesa’s daughter? She has such an imposing presence! She feels completely different from Miss Elesa normally!

[Roxie]: Elesa is still in the chat, you know.

[Jasmine]: Ah, I’m sorry! I’m sorry! I didn’t mean that Miss Elesa lacks presence! I meant that Miori’s presence feels different from hers!

[Lenora]: Jasmine isn’t wrong. Elesa normally has the sort of personality that makes people want to approach her, but the Miori in this illustration makes people instinctively want to take three steps backward.

[Drayden]: It would be stranger if the eyes of a Trainer acknowledged by Zekrom carried no weight.

[Alder]: Zekrom chooses to follow ideals. Anyone it acknowledges must possess an ideal that transcends personal interests. What ideal does this child named Miori carry within her heart?

[Raihan]: Maybe her father secretly helped her. Asher can even summon Arceus. Helping his daughter obtain two Legendary Pokémon would be nothing to him.

[Steven]: Raihan makes a good point! @Asher, confess honestly. Did you arrange everything behind the scenes?

[Asher]: I’ll say it again. That was my parallel-world counterpart. It has nothing to do with me.

[Steven]: How many times have you said that already?

[Asher]: The truth does not fear repetition.

[Wallace]: The problem is that what you keep repeating has never been the truth.

[Cynthia]: ...

[Diantha]: Stay strong, sister!

[Cynthia]: ? I was only wondering exactly how many daughters Asher has.

[Diantha]: The answer to that question may be more complicated than Sinnoh’s creation myths.

[Elesa]: Aaaaah! Why is it me?!

[Misty]: That line sounds remarkably familiar.

[Cynthia]: ...

[Elesa]: ...How did the two of you eventually accept this?

[Misty]: Resisting at the beginning doesn’t prevent you from accepting it in the end. You’ll understand later.

[Cynthia]: Misty is right.

[Diantha]:@Elesa, just accept your fate. Asher already has several women around him, so one more won’t make a difference.

[Elesa]: What do you mean, ”one more won’t make a difference”?!

[Diantha]: Exactly what it sounds like.

[Steven]: All right, all right! Stop arguing—the video is about to begin!

...

TL: Didn’t see this coming did ya!
