Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2238: Chapter 1698: I’m Definitely Taking This Item (Part 2)

”You!” Beside him, Hannah was also incredulous, even a bit angry.

This Huaxia person, how could he be so disrespectful, so tactless!

Bai Xiaosheng, Lei Ying glanced at the two, already expecting this situation.

”Friend, are you really not going to reconsider what I said?” Jack’s face darkened, feeling disrespected in front of a woman.

”I’m really sorry, this item is something I want to give to someone important, I’m not passing it on.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled faintly, stepping out.

At this moment, a voice called out from the crowd, ”Wait, wait a moment, sir! You can’t take that accessory!”

The onlookers parted to the sides, and the short and stout Mr. Mai walked in, followed by the store owner, and behind them was a dozen or so entourage.

The white man voiced his concern, causing Bai Xiaosheng to stop, responding calmly, ”Oh, I’ve bought it, why can’t I take it?”

Mr. Mai caught his breath, urgently saying, ”The item in your hand is not for sale, it’s one of our main attractions in tonight’s show!”

”It was the idiots on the floor who made a mistake, sending it over here; the ’Joschak’s Light’ on the list is not this one.”

Mr. Mai spoke earnestly, ”Now, could you please return it, and we’ll exchange it for the real ’Joschak’s Light’!”

Mr. Mai spoke with a serious expression.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng was just a young man from Huaxia, he didn’t use any respectful terms like ”you,” just ”you.”

Mr. Mai downplayed the mistake and took it for granted that Bai Xiaosheng should return the accessory. His words and demeanor carried a hint of Western arrogance.

Beside them, Jack and Hannah watched coldly, with a faint, indifferent smile on the corners of their lips.

They said earlier that this Huaxia guy wouldn’t walk away with that necklace, the other side wouldn’t agree.

If it were someone from their kind of affluent family, the other party would have to consider it.

But indeed, that necklace was extraordinary!

It turned out to be one of the brand’s main features in tonight’s grand show!

No wonder so many people were immediately drawn to it, gathering around.

It exuded an immense charm!

In the eyes of keen observers like Jack, Mr. Mai surely hadn’t said everything, like the person wearing this necklace must be someone extraordinary!

Hannah’s beautiful eyes were again fixed on that string of necklace.

Not only her, but many onlookers couldn’t help but stare at the necklace in Bai Xiaosheng’s hand, their eyes involuntarily revealing a look of greed!

Seeing this, Bai Xiaosheng smiled slightly and waved to Lin Weiwei.

Lin Weiwei immediately understood, took out the jewelry box that came with the previous purchase, and handed it to Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng, under the eager eyes of the crowd, directly put the necklace into the jewelry box and closed the lid with a ”snap.”

With an attitude of ”This is my property, viewing is not allowed.”

”I’m sorry, regardless of how you originally planned to use it, now, it’s mine.” Bai Xiaosheng calmly said to Mr. Mai.

”Also, whatever ’Joschak’s Light’ you’re referring to, I don’t know which one that is.”

”When buying, I pointed to this one, you gave its price, I paid, so it’s mine.”

This Mr. Mai said it was just his subordinates making a mistake that caused the jewelry to appear here...

What a low-level mistake, what kind of subordinate could access something so important? Even soap operas wouldn’t dare to fabricate something like this.

There should be a significant error on Mr. Mai’s part!

Since there is a mistake, one should show the proper attitude, being so forceful is really unpleasant.

Bai Xiaosheng is not someone to take advantage of, this small amount of money isn’t an issue for him, but he will not allow himself to be wronged like this.

Mr. Mai sneered, saying loudly, ”Then sir, it was our staff’s mistake, treating this item as ’Joschak’s Light,’ but the receipt says ’Joschak’s Light,’ even if you can take it, we can call the police, then you’ll be in trouble!”

Bai Xiaosheng furrowed his brow.

They dared to threaten him!

Then, Mr. Mai added impatiently, ”Huaxia people, I know your people love to take advantage of others, but this is not where you can do that, understand! Hand it over!”

Mr. Mai was so rude, the surrounding group of white people murmured, but no one stood up.

Jack and Hannah let out cold sneers.

Jack leaned closer to Bai Xiaosheng and whispered, ”Double the price, transfer it to me! Otherwise, you won’t get it either!”

Jack seemed to be taking advantage of the situation, even lowering the price.

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t pay any attention to Jack. He looked at Mr. Mai and nodded slightly, ”By saying and doing this, you are turning things upside down. Aren’t you afraid your words and actions will tarnish your brand?”

Mr. Mai frowned and looked at Bai Xiaosheng with contempt, lazily saying, ”After you return the items, go inform the journalists. Our company’s PR team spends heaps of money every year and isn’t afraid of anyone talking nonsense, especially someone like you, a Huaxia person, trying to use public opinion against us here? Ha...”

Mr. Mai sneered and shook his head.

It’s unbelievable for a high-level vice president of a brand to make such remarks in front of outsiders.

But the local peculiarity is that the higher one’s position, the more shocking their words often are.

Not to mention, he’s just a minor vice president.

Beside him, Jack suddenly laughed out loud, ”Mr. Mai can also sue your manager here. He’s suspected of selling high-value items at low prices to this person, implying collusion between the two. The court will investigate thoroughly. But before the results are out, this gentleman from Huaxia can’t take the items away.”

Jack’s words made Mr. Mai’s eyes light up, and he nodded immediately, ”Exactly!”

The store manager behind Mr. Mai looked terrified but couldn’t argue.

Bai Xiaosheng glanced back at Jack, who gave him a charming smile.

The meaning behind the smile was obvious—if you don’t agree with my suggestion, then I can only make sure you get nothing!

Hannah, feeling frustrated, looked at Bai Xiaosheng with some blame.

If this Huaxia person had been more sensible, it wouldn’t have come to this.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying both glared coldly at Jack with indifferent expressions.

Jack, however, didn’t care at all and kept smiling.

Bai Xiaosheng looked at Mr. Mai, whose face was full of a smug grin, and he smiled as well.

Then, Bai Xiaosheng looked at Lin Weiwei by his side and made a gesture to her.

Lin Weiwei, who had been holding her handbag in front of her chest, moved it aside, revealing a phone hidden behind it.

The camera was aimed right at Mr. Mai, and it had also been turned towards Jack earlier.

”Got it all on tape,” Lin Weiwei said.

From the beginning, Bai Xiaosheng had given her a secret hand signal, which was their established action code over the years.

The whole video would show the other party’s obvious mistakes while still insisting on taking back the items, and their rude and forceful attitude!

”Do you want to go to court with me, or let the public discuss the rights and wrongs?” Bai Xiaosheng calmly asked Mr. Mai, ”I may not win in court, but in public opinion, I will not lose!”

Mr. Mai stared in shock at the phone in Lin Weiwei’s hand, eyes wide with disbelief that they had recorded everything on video, ”You... actually recorded it!”

”Yes, it’s still recording now, smile for the camera,” Lin Weiwei said with a smile, ”I can upload to the cloud anytime, even if you smash my phone, it won’t help!”

Mr. Mai’s face became extremely ugly.

Even if someone tried to snatch the phone, it would be useless and would result in more recordings.

”I’m sorry, but I must have this item!” Bai Xiaosheng stated bluntly.

Mr. Mai’s expression flickered, and he finally forced a smile, ”Sir, there’s no need for this. Let’s discuss a solution together to resolve this matter, shall we?”

This time, Mr. Mai finally yielded.

”A solution, huh.” Bai Xiaosheng laughed, ”I’ll give you a proposal.”

Mr. Mai immediately listened attentively.

”Make sure I get the correct receipt right away. Then, I can lend you the jewelry for tonight’s show. However, except when it’s on stage, my people must keep it with them at all times.”

”If that’s not possible, then I’m afraid I can’t help you.”

”Don’t blame me for warning you, if this issue escalates, your brand’s image could suffer greatly over a mere piece of jewelry, and you will be made the scapegoat!”

Bai Xiaosheng’s words made Mr. Mai’s face change dramatically.

Then, Bai Xiaosheng turned to look at Jack, with a cold gaze, he lectured, ”Sir, you give reckless advice as if you’re very capable. There are plenty of people more competent than you! With your mindset, you’ll end up hurting yourself sooner or later!”
