Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2204: Chapter 1679: Negotiation or Threat

Bai Xiaosheng, with just a few words, managed to enrage Ye Liena. This woman, who originally placed great emphasis on her demeanor, now furrowed her brows angrily, gritting her teeth, visibly furious.

Beside them, everyone was stunned.

Taylor and Melanie had confused expressions; they had no idea what was meant by ”playing the game of cars” between the two.

Xiya, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying suddenly realized, surprised that the one playing the car game with them yesterday was Ye Liena!

Who would have thought that Ye Liena, a chief executive officer of a large enterprise, would have such a fiery temper when driving!

Her anger now seemed just as intense as it was then.

Was it because Bai Xiaosheng publicly mentioned the matter, making her feel embarrassed?

This reaction was truly explosive...

”Ye Liena, what exactly is going on?!” Melanie regained composure and asked Ye Liena.

Ye Liena narrowed her eyes, looking hatefully at Bai Xiaosheng in front of her, and said to Melanie, ”Yesterday, I was in a hurry to return to my company, and their car intentionally blocked mine on the road, almost causing me an accident! I was upset and played the game with them. As a result... they sped up and then slowed down, tricked me, caused me to be chased by the police, and got a ticket!”

At this, Melanie was taken aback and couldn’t help glancing at Bai Xiaosheng.

There was actually such a matter!

Ye Liena added angrily, ”BL Technology is a famous company in the industry, and as the CEO, what an identity that is! If yesterday’s incident were known by the media, I’d be on the front page news! Even a tiny bit of negative news would be magnified infinitely by those with intentions, damaging my reputation, and causing Miss Caroline to be disappointed in me! That would be a huge loss for me!”

Ye Liena spoke in grave terms, amplifying Bai Xiaosheng’s responsibility to the extreme, sounding exaggerated yet reasonable, leaving others speechless.

Upon hearing this, Melanie was also extremely angry, glaring fiercely at Bai Xiaosheng before turning to Taylor, speaking sharply, ”Mr. Taylor, what is this supposed to mean! The person you brought is trying to openly harm Ye Liena! This is no longer a normal business negotiation! What are you trying to do, threaten our safety!? We will resort to legal means for a thorough investigation! And inform the media, let them see what kind of family the Taylor Family really is, and what kind of partners you are!”

Melanie raised the issue to a highly severe level at once.

Upon hearing this, Taylor’s face changed.

Resorting to legal measures would involve some investigation procedures at most and wouldn’t have serious consequences.

The matter itself wasn’t a big deal, just a misunderstanding.

But if it were to be disclosed to the media as Melanie suggested, then it wouldn’t be a small issue!

The Taylor Family’s business is currently barely holding on; the stock of the listed company has been trending towards decline, and if such a ”destructive” negative news were to happen, it would collapse in an instant!

The subsequent problems would snowball, becoming increasingly larger, eventually becoming uncontrollable!

Taylor most dreaded such a scenario occurring.

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying couldn’t help but frown as they listened, exchanging a glance.

Neither of them could listen to it anymore.

Ye Liena and Melanie absolutely had intentional parts; this is too exaggerating!

Xiya’s face changed too, unable to resist stepping forward, saying to Ye Liena and Melanie, ”It was me driving yesterday, Miss Ye Liena, it was a misunderstanding. If you two have any anger, direct it towards me, don’t escalate the matter to my family, and it has nothing to do with Mr. Bai!”

Xiya wanted to take responsibility.

”Who are you?” Ye Liena asked coldly, looking at Xiya.

”I am the daughter of the Taylor Clan Leader, my name is Xiya!” Xiya replied.

Melanie sneered from the side, ”Well, look, finally admitted! Even the daughter of the Taylor Clan Leader is implicated in this matter, attempting wrongdoing against Ye Liena. And you say there was no plot, that this matter is simple?!”

Melanie’s exploitation of this opportunity left people bewildered.

”You can’t say that, I said it’s a misunderstanding, and if there is any fault, I will bear it alone!” Xiya said angrily.

”You can’t bear it alone! You did it and now you’re afraid of people finding out?!” Ye Liena sneered.

These two women echoed each other, and Xiya wasn’t a match for them, suddenly feeling aggrieved.

”Shut up! Xiya, stop talking! Don’t be rude to Miss Ye Liena and Miss Melanie!” Taylor hurriedly stopped Xiya from speaking.

The more you talk, the more wrong it gets.

Then, Taylor looked at the two women, his expression sincere, ”Miss Ye Liena, Miss Melanie, regarding this matter...”

”You want to call the police, then call the police, want to tell the media, then tell them, why threaten here pointlessly.”

A voice cut in, directly interrupting Taylor’s words, taking up this thread.

The voice was steady, confident.

Taylor paused, unable to help but look over.

Ye Liena and Melanie, hearing these words, instantly felt a mix of shock and anger and looked over.

Bai Xiaosheng held a coffee cup, sipping gracefully.

”What do you mean by this?!” Ye Liena angrily said.

”You want us to call the police, and tell the media?” Melanie shouted, ”Are you treating us as a joke, thinking we don’t dare?!”

The two women, upset, each took out their phones, seemingly ready to call the media at any moment, and even stood up.

Xiya suddenly became a bit anxious.

Taylor suddenly became somewhat flustered.

Neither father nor daughter was one to lose composure easily; both were smart people.

However, humans are emotional creatures; when the matter doesn’t concern themselves, they can be meticulous and have all eventualities covered, but once it involves something they care about, they might lose their composure.

That’s also why there is this saying, ”the person involved is blinded.”
