Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2207: Chapter 1680: What, You’re Here Too!

Ye Liena and Melanie were startled by something Bai Xiaosheng said.

Miss Caroline is coming?!

How come they had no information at all! Is this true!

The two women uncontrollably glanced at Bai Xiaosheng’s phone.

”No need to look, Miss Caroline will be here soon.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled as he put away his phone.

Seeing the Greater China Region’s executive president of Zhenbei Group wasn’t joking, Ye Liena and Melanie’s faces changed slightly.

Why would Miss Caroline come? Could it be about the Taylor Clan’s matter?

The two immediately dismissed this idea.

Impossible, Bai Xiaosheng’s identity alone is enough to force them to compromise, no need to involve Miss Caroline to make such a big fuss.

Moreover, if Miss Caroline knew it involved the Taylor Clan, she wouldn’t agree to come.

Right now, Caroline is in a critical phase of her campaign, and she needs to avoid suspicion, preventing herself from falling into unnecessary trouble.

Then there’s only one possibility, Miss Caroline is coming for Mr. Bai, specifically for the cooperation between North America and Greater China.

Why now, why here?

Does Miss Caroline know they are also here, dealing with the Taylor Clan’s matter, does she know Bai Xiaosheng is involved, they’ve been outmaneuvered by Bai Xiaosheng...

Ye Liena and Melanie’s minds were in turmoil, unable to analyze the situation.

Everything they were thinking about was inevitably heading in one direction, that is...

How would Miss Caroline view their stupidity and incompetence...

Ye Liena and Melanie’s hearts were flustered, they were practically unable to sit still.

”Miss Caroline is coming, shouldn’t you go and greet her?” Bai Xiaosheng asked with a smile, observing the two women’s reactions.

”Ah!”

”Yes!”

Ye Liena and Melanie thought it was reasonable and sprang to their feet.

Then, looking at the people present, they hesitated deeply.

Should they go to greet her, or... slip away.

Having messed up this situation so badly, they would surely face accountability. Meeting privately with the Greater China Region’s executive president without reporting, would it lead to bigger misunderstandings and troubles...

If Miss Caroline suspects or questions them, their future would no longer be straightforward.

For a moment, Ye Liena and Melanie felt they’ve never been so conflicted before.

It was obvious to Taylor and the others that these two women were in distress, and they felt that this situation was difficult for them to explain.

However, no one sympathized with them, instead, they felt somewhat satisfied.

Previously, they were so aggressive, now they are so embarrassed, doesn’t it just prove the saying, ”The wheel of heaven turns, and repercussions cannot escape.”

”Mr. Bai, do we need to avoid this?” Taylor couldn’t help but ask Bai Xiaosheng.

Bai Xiaosheng smiled at him, saying meaningful words, ”No need, maybe meeting her will make your issues easier to resolve.”

Taylor immediately understood his meaning, and asked again, ”Then should we go to greet her?”

Upon hearing Bai Xiaosheng and Taylor speak like this, Ye Liena and Melanie steeled themselves.

The situation had developed beyond their control.

Now, they could only brace themselves to greet Miss Caroline.

Miss Caroline, what kind of person is she, she would not tolerate any sand in her eyes.

Just now, they dared to think of such cowardly and evasive measures, that was a path to self-destruction!

It’s better to be honest, even if it means receiving a scolding, it would bring peace of mind.

Anyway, dealing with the Greater China Region’s executive president from Zhenbei Group, they aren’t competitors, nor is it their fault.

If there are issues, just push them onto Bai Xiaosheng!

Having sorted this out, the two women quickly calmed down.

”Mr. Bai, let’s not delay here any longer, let’s go down to the lobby and greet Miss Caroline together.” Ye Liena suggested to Bai Xiaosheng.

Melanie looked at Bai Xiaosheng, she meant the same.

”Feel free.” Bai Xiaosheng smiled.

The implication being, if they wanted to greet, they could go, he would wait here.

Ye Liena was stunned by his words.

Seeing Bai Xiaosheng being so ”clueless about protocol,” Melanie couldn’t help but remind him, ”Mr. Bai, although you are the executive president of the Greater China Region, you should know that Miss Caroline is a career president and ranks higher than you. When a superior arrives, you should go to greet them!”

Earlier, Bai Xiaosheng had pressed the two with his rank, now a higher-ranked person has arrived, how could Melanie miss such an opportunity to vent.

Taylor also looked at Bai Xiaosheng, as he had already asked, should we greet her, now it all depends on Bai Xiaosheng’s attitude.

Bai Xiaosheng considered for a moment, turned to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying, ”Then you two go with Miss Ye Liena and Miss Melanie to greet Miss Caroline for me?”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying nodded in agreement.

Currently, Bai Xiaosheng was here to assist in negotiations, this wasn’t his territory, naturally, there was no need for guest reception.

Caroline insisted on coming to find a time to discuss matters, so let her come.

He was of the same rank as Caroline, and from a post perspective, Caroline was even a notch below him, there was no reason for Bai Xiaosheng to greet her.

Furthermore, if some keen observer saw Bai Xiaosheng, the second-in-command of the headquarters monitoring department, actively greeting a career president, it might lead to all sorts of conspiracy theories.

Bai Xiaosheng’s new role hadn’t set off fireworks yet, but trouble had come, it would be a joke.

Therefore, Bai Xiaosheng decided not to greet.

This isn’t intentionally showing off, but rather a deep consideration.

But his attitude appeared in the eyes of the uninformed Ye Liena and Melanie as arrogant, even dismissive!

Faced with a leader of higher rank visiting, he only sent his assistants to greet, wasn’t this arrogance!

It was already heard that this executive president of the Greater China Region was an extraordinary person, and now it seemed that even if the vice-chairman came, he would still keep his stance!

Ye Liena and Melanie looked at Bai Xiaosheng incredulously, truly puzzled by how he could act like this, dare to act like this.

However, the more Bai Xiaosheng acted like this, the more it showed his dominance, indicating that he was oppressing them in this matter.

Let’s have Miss Caroline see how arrogant he is!

Redirect Miss Caroline’s anger towards him!

Ye Liena and Melanie exchanged glances, each understanding the other’s thoughts.

Bai Xiaosheng caught a glimpse and knew what they were thinking, he smiled without speaking.

His identity, his considerations, didn’t need explanation to them.

Ye Liena and Melanie decided to go greet Miss Caroline, Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying were about to join them. But before they could move, they heard the conference room door being urgently knocked.

”Come in!” Taylor Clan Leader shouted.

Taylor had previously arranged for an assistant, who once again poked in, looking a bit unusual, ”Taylor Clan Leader, Miss Caroline is here!”

Everyone was stunned, Ye Liena and Melanie’s expressions changed.

Miss Caroline actually arrived so quickly, so quick that they didn’t have time to greet her!

Taylor Clan Leader calmed himself and shouted, ”Open the door! Welcome Miss Caroline inside!”

The assistant nodded swiftly and pushed the door wide open.

Standing outside were many people, facing them at the front was a woman, elegant and noble.

It was none other than Miss Caroline!

Caroline was keenly observing here, she hadn’t known until she arrived that this was booked by the Taylor Clan!

Are they negotiating with Bai Xiaosheng?

Caroline was surprised and serious, extremely puzzled.

How is Bai Xiaosheng connected to the Taylor Clan!

If Bai Xiaosheng is negotiating with the Taylor Clan, will it ruin her long-term plans...

Additionally, she didn’t know what kind of cooperation they were discussing, in case it involved new graphene battery technology, what to do!

Caroline had many doubts, even worries, and was eager to meet Bai Xiaosheng, to understand the situation here.

When the door opened, Caroline saw the situation inside, saw the people present, and her eyes narrowed slightly.

”Miss Caroline!”

Ye Liena and Melanie simultaneously called out respectfully.

At this point, they could only brace themselves to greet Miss Caroline.

Seeing them, even Caroline was startled, then her eyes slightly contracted, finally speaking in a low voice, ”Why are you here, too!”
