War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

Although members of the Phantom Clan could only become advanced King of Gods at most, there were a few exceptions in the long history of the clan that managed to become Lords of Gods. In fact, it was through these few exceptional clan members that the others realized they could track souls through Soul Pearls of those weaker than them. They became so famous for their skills that many would look for them to locate someone.

At this time, Mi Xuan had finally left the Asura Hell after he failed to find Feng Qing Yang. He muttered angrily, “Feng Qing Yang, I’d like to see how long you can hide in the Asura Hell!”

‘His cultivation speed is outrageously fast so I can’t slack off in my cultivation. If he becomes an intermediate King of Gods before I become an advanced King of Gods, I won’t be able to kill him even if I can track him…’ Mi Xuan thought to himself. With this thought in mind, he wasted no time in returning to the Land of the Dead so he could cultivate as soon as possible.

Mi Xuan thought perhaps he would feel better as well after returning to the clan estate. He did not expect to be blocked by two powerful elders as soon as he returned.

“Elder Mi Chen, Elder Mi Yue, what are you doing?” Mi Xuan asked, perplexed.

The two Phantom Clan members barring Mi Xuan’s way the clan’s Supreme Elders. They were advanced King of Gods so they were much stronger than Mi Xuan. If they wanted to kill Mi Xuan, Mi Xuan would not be able to escape his death.

“Mi Xuan, you’ve been expelled from the clan,” Mi Chen said expressionlessly.

“Expelled?” Mi Xuan was shocked. His expression changed drastically when he thought about Feng Qing Yang. He was certain that Feng Qing Yang had informed the clan’s Supreme Elders about his brother possessing a physical body and his role in helping his brother.

Mi Xuan tried his best to calm down before he asked, “Why, Elder Mi Chen?”

“Mi Xuan, do you think we’re unaware of what you and Miyan have done?” Mi Chen’s gaze was frosty.

Mi Xuan knew his speculation was right. There was no doubt that Feng Qing Yang had exposed him. It would be surprising the clan did not expel him after learning about that matter.

After a moment, Mi Xuan feigned ignorance and asked anxiously, “Elder Mi Chen, Elder Mi Yue, what’s happening? Even if you want to expel me from the clan, you should at least tell me why, right?”

Upon hearing these words, Mi Yue, who had been silent all this time, shook his head and said, “Mi Xuan, stop pretending. It’s useless. Although Miyan didn’t complete the possession, it still violates the laws of the clan. He should die for that alone. And you… Not only did you let him off, but you also tried to help him to possess a physical body…”

Mi Yue’s voice grew frostier as he continued to say, “You’re not qualified to be the Clan Leader of the Phantom Clan, and you’re no longer welcomed here…”

“Who slandered me and my brother? Is there evidence?” Mi Xuan asked angrily. If one was unaware of this matter, one would have thought that he was wrongly accused.

“You want evidence?” Mi Yue sneered.

With just a thought, a Floating Image Pearl appeared, showing scenes in the main Title Temple where Great Master Miyan wanted to possess Duan Ling Tian and Mi Xuan was helping him by keeping Feng Qing Yang busy. Not only were the scenes recorded, but their voices were recorded as well.

Before Mi Xuan could say anything, Mi Yue’s sneer deepened before he said, “Let me guess. You want to say this is fake, right? Don’t bother. You’ll only make a fool out of yourself.”

In fact, Mi Xuan did not intend to say it was fake. If it was fake, the Supreme Elders would have long detected it. Finally, Mi Xuan decided to soften his attitude. “Supreme Elders, my brother has died. Is it possible for us to forget about this matter? There’s no one else more suitable to lead the clan than me. Please give me another chance. I promise to lead the clan to new heights!”

Mi Xuan was unwilling to leave the Phantom Clan. He wanted to continue being the Clan Leader of the Phantom Clan.

“Mi Xuan, is this all a joke to you?” Mi Yue said, “You’ve been expelled. The clan no longer welcomes you. This is final; there’s no changing our decision. If you dare step foot into the estate, we won’t hesitate to get rid of you. Apart from that, if we find out that you possess a physical body in the future, we’ll hunt you down and kill you. It’s best that you behave yourself. Leave now.”

Mi Xuan was drowning in despair as he was forced to leave. He did not think when he had left the clan earlier that it would be his last time in the clan. Although he knew he was wrong, he thought the punishment was too heavy.

In fact, Mi Xuan had never agreed with Miyan’s action to possess another person. He had only helped Miyan out of familial love. He had even made it clear to Miyan that it would be the final time he was going to help Miyan. He had never once forgotten that he was a member of the Phantom Clan. However, look at what the clan did to him. They removed him from his position and expelled him. With all these thoughts in mind, his despair was swiftly replaced by seething anger.

“Very well! Since you’re so quick to condemn me and you’re convinced that I’m a sinner, I’ll prove all of you right and show you what a sinner of the clan is like!”

Mi Xuan had forgotten his despair and grew determined. “After I possess a physical body, I’ll return to the clan and devour everyone to break through and become a Lord of Gods. At that time, even if Feng Qing Yang has another breakthrough, there’s nothing he’ll be able to do to me!”

As he left the Land of the Dead for one of the Devata Realms, he began to make plans for himself.

“I need a body now. Duan Ling Tian’s body is perfect, but it’s strange. Brother Yan was actually destroyed when trying to possess him. I can’t possess him. Moreover, I plan to kill him to avenge my brother!”

Duan Ling Tian would have scoffed if he had heard Mi Xuan’s words. After all, Mi Xuan was dreaming if he thought he could possess his body.

“I should look for Temple Master Wu Hong Qing first. I’m sure he can provide me with suitable candidates to possess…”

With that, Mi Xuan went to the Title Temple branch in the Devata Realm he was at. He did not waste time and displayed his terrifying strength, scaring the Branch Temple Master.

The Branch Temple Master did not waste time and hurriedly contacted the main Title Temple.

…

It did not take long for Mi Xuan and Wu Hong Qing to meet again.

“Clan Leader Mi Xuan, what brings you here again?” Wu Hong Qing asked without beating around the bush.

A hint of greed flashed in Mi Xuan’s eyes as he looked at Wu Hong Qing. It would be perfect if he could possess Wu Hong Qing. If he succeeded in possessing Wu Hong Qing, he would have full control of the Title Temple.

Nevertheless, Mi Xuan knew this was just a dream. It was difficult to completely possess someone who was as strong as he was. A good example of this was how Miyan, an elementary god, had failed to completely possess Ru Lai, who was a Ten Directions Celestial Emperor at that time. Miyan would have succeeded if he was an intermediate god. The difference in strength between an elementary god and a Ten Directions Celestial Emperor made it difficult for Miyan to completely possess Ru Lai.

For this reason, Mi Xuan, whose strength was even closer to that of Wu Hong Qing, knew without a doubt that he would not be able to completely possess Wu Hong Qing. Even if he was an advanced King of God, he was not confident he would be able to fully possess Wu Hong Qing.

Mi Xuan bluntly replied, “I’m looking to possess someone. Do you have anyone suitable in mind? With the Title Temple’s vast influence, I’m sure you must know of someone suitable.”

Wu Hong Qing was slightly stunned by Mi Xuan’s words. “Weren’t you against possessing a physical body earlier? Why did you suddenly change your mind? What happened?”

In Wu Hong Qing’s mind, he still thought Duan Ling Tian was the best candidate. It did not matter if it was Miyan or Mi Xuan who possessed him. Mi Xuan was disinterested in possessing Duan Ling Tian previously because of his brother, but Wu Hong Qing did not believe it was sincere. After all, considering Duan Ling Tian’s high potential, he did not think that the duo’s brotherly love could withstand the temptation of such a perfect body.
