War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

One of the Supreme Elders said, “I think we should deal with this decisively. We don’t want history to repeat itself, do we?”

Upon hearing these words, everyone, including Xu Kong Hai, fell silent.

Although the Title Temple’s history predated that of the Devata Realms, none of its members from this generation, including the current Temple Master, could form or comprehend any of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth. In the past, this was not the case at all, hence, many of the high-ranking officials from the main Title Temple could not help but feel anxious and upset. Although their predecessors had recorded their insight on the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth on scrolls, the current generation had difficulties comprehending them. As a result, there was no one in the Title Temple now who was able to form and master any of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth. For this reason, they felt they were left with no choice but to forcefully detain outsiders to learn the secrets of forming and comprehending the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth.

In fact, in the past, when Feng Qing Yang, the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven, was still rising in fame and had displayed his Destructive Sword Dao, one of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth, the Title Temple had sent Tang San Pao’s master, a powerhouse from the Title Temple who was living in seclusion, to test Feng Qing Yang’s strength. At that time, after defeating Feng Qing Yang, Tang San Pao’s master had concluded that Feng Qing Yang had indeed formed and comprehended the Destructive Sword Dao to the preliminary stage. Additionally, Tang San Pao’s master had also concluded that Feng Qing Yang would only continue to improve tremendously moving forward. With this, the Title Temple decided to wait until Feng Qing Yang had gained a deeper understanding of the Destructive Sword Dao before they would capture him. After all, the difference after Feng Qing Yang’s comprehension of the Destructive Sword Dao moved beyond the preliminary stage was going to be huge. The Title Temple was not worried they would not be able to capture Feng Qing Yang at that time since they knew Feng Qing Yang could be found in the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven. In the end, they decided to wait until Feng Qing Yang was about to attain godhood before they would capture him.

Everyone from the Title Temple, including Xu Kong Hai, waited patiently for years. Alas, when they were close to making a move, they received news that Feng Qing Yang had disappeared into the Asura Hell, one of the seven deadliest places in the Devata Realms. None of them thought he would survive the Asura Hell and regretted they did not make a move sooner. After all, even the Temple Master of the Title Temple, who was a King of God, would not recklessly enter the Asura Hell due to how dangerous it was.

When they finally received news again that Feng Qing Yang had survived the Asura Hell and had returned to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven, they were filled with hope again. Therefore, they sent Tang San Pao’s master to test Feng Qing Yang’s strength again. However, this time, Tang San Pao’s master was thoroughly defeated by Feng Qing Yang.

Tang San Pao’s master had said that Feng Qing Yang not only gained a deeper understanding of the Destructive Sword Dao, but Feng Qing Yang had also attained godhood. Most importantly, he was defeated by Feng Qing Yang’s clone from the law of earth, which indicated Feng Qing Yang’s physical body was likely still in the Asura Hell.

With that, the Title Temple knew it was too late for them to make a move against Feng Qing Yang. Even if Feng Qing Yang had just attained godhood and was only a weak god, it would not be easy to force a god to do something against his or her will. Dealing with celestials was very different from dealing with gods, after all.

Master, the strongest among them who was a King of God, would never dare enter the Asura Hell recklessly. Just like its name, that place was hell indeed. They were filled with hope once again after Feng Qing Yang managed to survive the Asura Hell and returned to the Heavenly Palace of the Solitary Destructive Heaven and regained his position as the Heavenly Emperor of the Solitary Destructive Heaven. Then, the Title Temple sent Tang San Pao’s master to test Feng Qing Yang once again where he suffered a terrible defeat.

“We should make a move as soon as we can.”

“That’s right!”

One of the Supreme Elders said again, “We can’t be indecisive now. This chance will only come once. If we miss it, it’ll be difficult for us to capture Duan Ling Tian in the future…”

Another Supreme Elder’s eyes glinted coldly as he said, “Feng Qing Yang should feel grateful we didn’t make a move on him at that time. If he’s smart, he’ll stay out of this matter. Otherwise, we’ll teach him a lesson he’ll never forget…”

“Temple Master…”

Xu Kong Hai and the other Vice Temple Master looked at the Temple Master in unison, waiting for him to make the decision.

At the same time, another Supreme Elder of the Title Temple said, “We can’t hesitate anymore… Such an opportunity only comes once. If we miss this opportunity, it will be difficult for us to retain Duan Ling Tian in the future.”

The Temple Master shifted his gaze to his two Vice Temple Masters and asked, “What do the both of you think? I want to hear your opinion now that the two Supreme Elders have expressed theirs…”

“Temple Master, I agree with the two Supreme Elders,” the other Vice Temple Master said.

Xu Kong Hai smiled wryly. “If I’m not mistaken, you’ve already made up your mind, Temple Master. Even if I oppose everyone’s opinion, I don’t think it’ll change your mind…”

Following that, everyone looked at the Temple Master.

“Capture Duan Ling Tian,” the Temple Master said tonelessly, “We’ll do as the Supreme Elders suggested. Why should the Title Temple be afraid of Feng Qing Yang? It’s only been a few hundred years since he attained godhood. Like the Supreme Elders have said, if he dares to meddle, we’ll teach him a lesson!”

“When should we make a move?” Xu Kong Hai asked.

“After Duan Ling Tian’s time in the chamber of laws is up,” the Title Temple Master said. He paused for a moment before he continued to say, “Perhaps, he’ll gain an insight in the chamber of laws and deepen his understanding of the Four Daos of Heaven and Earth. If that’s the case, it’ll only benefit us.”

The other Vice Temple Master’s eyes lit up as he said ingratiatingly, “Lord Temple Master is wise!”

…

Duan Ling Tian and Feng Qing Yang were naturally unaware that the Title Temple had already decided to make a move on Duan Ling Tian.

After spending a month in the room that contained the law of fire, Duan Ling Tian had already entered the room that contained the law of earth and spent his remaining time there.

Time flew by in just a blink of an eye.

“Time’s up.”

At this time, Duan Ling Tian heard a voice before a powerful force pushed him out of the room.

Duan Ling Tian was calm and expressionless after being ejected from the room. Inwardly, he was rather pleased with the results after spending three months in the chamber of laws. Not only did he comprehend all the profundities from the law of fire and the law of earth, but he had also comprehended them to the mastery stage. With this, he had now comprehended the law of space, the law of time, the law of fire, and the law of earth to the mastery stage.

“Elders, please help me contact Vice Temple Master Xu. It’s time for me to leave with my master,” Duan Ling Tian said to the two elders guarding the chamber of laws.

The two elders nodded.

One of the elders said, “I’ve already sent a message to Vice Temple Master Xu on your behalf. Please wait a moment.”

“Alright.” Duan Ling Tian nodded. Then, he sent a message to Feng Qing Yang. “Master, I’ve left the chamber of laws. We can leave after Vice Temple Master Xu brings me to you…”

“Alright, I’ll be waiting for you then,” Feng Qing Yang responded, “Did things go well?”

“Yes,” Duan Ling Tian responded with a smile, “I’ve comprehended all the profundities from the law of fire and the law of earth to the mastery stage. I’ll be trying to fuse the profundities next just like the law of time…”

Feng Qing Yang was naturally pleased when he heard Duan Ling Tian’s reply. “Very good… I can provide you with some insight regarding the law of earth. However, you’ll have to rely on yourself to truly fuse them…”

“Yes, master,” Duan Ling Tian replied.

At this time, a figure suddenly appeared before Duan Ling Tian at the speed of light.

“Master, I’ll speak to you later. Vice Temple Master Xu is here.”

Xu Kong Hai asked with a smile, “Duan Ling Tian, do you want to stay in the Title Temple a little longer to continue comprehending the law of fire and the law of earth, or do you plan to leave immediately?”

“Thank you for your good intentions, Vice Temple Master Xu, but I plan to leave as soon as I meet my master,” Duan Ling Tian replied.

Xu Kong Hai nodded. “I’ll bring you to your master then…”

At this moment, Duan Ling Tian felt rather at ease. It seemed like the Title Temple was not going to capture him.

Alas, as soon as the master and disciple met, gusts of strong wind began to stir around them.

Swoosh!

At the same time, Xu Kong Hai flew up into the sky. Then, four figures suddenly appeared next to him; it was three old men and a middle-aged man.

Four people stood in different directions while the fifth person hovered high above the others. With this, they completely blocked all of Feng Qing Yang and Duan Ling Tian’s escape routes.
