Emperor’s Domination

This left the chief guard in a difficult position. His voice became stern as he spoke: “Your Highness, please cooperate as this is the will of the divine beasts.”

“No, we will not leave Chong Firmament.” The adult bird said firmly.

“Your Highness, even if you don’t trust us, you should trust the divine beasts, your family.” The chief guard tried to persuade him.

“It’s not impossible, let our lord come or show the Chongming Order.” The adult bird demanded.

Of course, all of them knew that Chongming Bird had been sealed and couldn’t show up here. As for the order, one side knew who currently possessed it.

“Your Highness, I’m afraid this is beyond our ability.” The chief guard shook his head: “We are here under order and as servants, we cannot tell the divine beasts to do anything. If you wish to meet the immortal lord, you must ask the divine beasts.”

“Where is our immortal lord right now?” The adult bird asked.

“We do not know, Your Highness. If you wish to know, then come with us to Skykiller Palace.” The chief guard said.

“Then we have nothing more to say, we will not leave unless we see our lord. Please return.” The adult bird said, unable to trust Skykiller Palace and the other divine beasts.

There was a high chance of them being sealed along with their lord if they were to comply. On the other hand, staying here meant having access to their firmament’s momentum and ace cards.

Most importantly, they still had control over their dragon servants within Chong Firmament.

“This puts us in a difficult position, Your Highness. I apologize for the inconvenience.” The chief guard said.

“Now it will be forceful?” The adult bird’s expression darkened.

“All we want to do is to protect you.” The chief guard said.

“No need, we have our own dragon servants.” The bird refused: “So leave, you’re not welcome here.”

The skykiller dragon servants came with orders and couldn’t just leave. It appeared a fight was inevitable.

“Everyone, we share the same goal of protecting the divine beasts. Your Highness, we guarantee that we are here to protect you.” The chief guard said.

“No need, the chongming dragon servants will protect us.” The adult bird refused.

“Do not think about escorting anyone out of here.” The chongming dragon servants prepared for a fight.

The initial tension returned until an old voice echoed: “No need to fight.”

“Buzz.” Solar rays erupted from Chongming Palace, making everyone realize the emergence of a high-level immortal.

Within the rays was a radiant chongming bird. The entire firmament rotated around it while the world tree’s branches and leaves coiled closer.

This bird was older than anyone present, as if it had been revived from a fossil.

“Immortal Monarch.” Stone Immortal prostrated in reverence; his allies did the same.

“Chongming Immortal Monarch.” Those from the skykiller branch also prostrated.

This was the oldest chongming bird in existence, the previous immortal lord. It was just that the current lord had become stronger and turned into one of the nine grand divine beasts. Therefore, the succession was natural and inevitable.
