Emperor’s Domination

“If I die today, disband Supreme Heaven and you may live reclusively. The feud with Life and Death Heaven, along with everything else, will go up in smoke.” Taichu turned to speak to Weizhen.

The order surprised the crowd again. He had already left a final message before the start of the battle. This was unprecedented compared to the previous wars.

Supreme Heaven had a mighty foundation and always rose again each time. Was it going to end like this for them?

“Master, you will be eternal…” Weizhen said while kneeling.

“Everyone will die unless they reach true immortality. I was ready to die since my debut. This is our fate since we’re not the high heaven. It is fine since I am just another living being, do not mourn or miss me.” Taichu interrupted him.

“I understand and will obey, Master. Please do not worry.” Weizhen said.

“Good, I can rest assured.” Taichu nodded.

“Master, I will never forget your kindness and guidance. I apologize for being too weak to repay you…” Weizhen performed a full kowtow.

“You have already repaid me, I was lucky to have you as a disciple for four lifetimes. I regret not having enough time to see you become an immortal, not fulfilling my duty as a master.” With that, he channeled a law and gave it to Weizhen: “You continue onward, I hope you will become an immortal one day.”

“I will choose the right path to become an immortal and not let you down.” Weizhen’s eyes were filled with tears as he lowered his head.

Some were moved by their strong relationship. For mortals, a lifetime was only a century. However, cultivators didn’t stop there.

Time polished and extinguished everything – love, friendship…

This wasn’t to say immortals and overlords were emotionless. It’s just that others couldn’t keep up with them. Descendants became strangers with time until the end of the lineage.

As for the duo, Taichu was an immortal while Weizhen was an overlord. The two have stuck together for eras. This scene woke up the cold hearts of many primal ancestors and heaven-slayers.

“What a duo.” A heaven-slayer remarked, moved by sincerity.

On the other hand, Bao Pu staggered backward. His expression changed as often as the thoughts in his mind.

No one was looking at him but he felt awkward. Hatred surfaced, but was it directed at the duo or himself?

Perhaps the duo’s display of love was nauseating. Were they doing it on purpose to antagonize him?

“Hmph.” He snorted and stopped thinking.

In reality, he knew that he once had this as well. He had masters who were more like parents. They roamed the world together, experiencing joys and dangers. He once agreed to obey all their commanders. His loyalty was the reason why they loved him dearly.

In the end, something changed and he ambushed them. He could still recall their gazes as they turned back in the last moment.

He had never wanted to face this before but their eyes kept popping up in his mind, seemingly burning it.

“No!” He staggered backward, losing control of his mind despite being an immortal.

No one noticed the internal battle raging inside him since all eyes were on Taichu and Weizhen.

“I pray for your victory, Master.” Weizhen said one last time before departing.

“Sorry you had to see that, Sacred Teacher.” Taichu smiled.

“Hearts and emotions go together. The idea of losing emotions as one becomes stronger is nothing more than justification and self-consolation.” Li Qiye said.

“Well said, Sacred Teacher.” Taichu praised before continuing: “Although I am ready to die, I might not be the one to die. Do you have any last words for anyone?”

“No, since I won’t die.” Li Qiye shook his head.
