Emperor’s Domination

Many emperors and above saw this statue for the first time today despite having heard of her previously.

Rumor has it this cultivator never left Life and Death Heaven or to be more accurate, its lord. Either way, she rarely appeared, perhaps only when the lord was in danger.

Some said she came from the same branch as Lord of Life and Death, famed for being the most gifted. She made her debut long before her lord and Desolate Ancestor.

However, she succumbed to a tribulation and was brought back to life by her lord. She was potentially the first to experience this process.

With returned life came undying loyalty. She protected her lord regardless of the opponents, acting as the final barrier until another death in battle.

The lord recklessly swapped death to life again, risking the wrath of the high heaven. Saving someone once was impudent but to do so for a second time? The punishment severity would multiply. Thus, she refused and turned into a permanent guardian, somehow becoming stronger.

“Miss Qin, you wish to be the end of me today?” Primal Yin Immortal Ghost expected her interference.

The statue returned to life and time started flowing again. It transformed into a living beauty.

“This is a seal?” A primal ancestor asked.

“No, she’s not alive. It can’t be a body made from flesh and blood.” Dugu Yuan murmured.

Only the apex primal ancestors could see some hints. With their heavenly gaze, they could tell that she was more of a weapon than a living being.

She only had two states – life and death. Emotion was not present. And when it came to these two states, it pertained to her enemies, not herself. It was a question of whether they were a threat deserving death or otherwise.

The group gained a better understanding of why her title was Guardian “Blade”.

“Death.” She uttered with a chilling indifference, akin to an unsheathed sword ready to strike.

“A god of death.” One spectator said.

“I shall experience your life and death phenomenon.” The ghost had a serious expression.

None dared to estimate him since he had taken down the strongest overlord, Xian Chengtian. Was this statue worthy of being his opponent?

“An overlord too?” A desolate god asked.

“Boom!” A vast world appeared within Life and Death Heaven, large enough to contain ten Three Immortal Worlds.

It contained a form of death instead of life. It didn’t manifest as deathly energy but was fundamentally created from death.

Three Immortals and other worlds were made from myriad things such as physical constructs, time, space, karma, yin and yang, life manifestations…

This world only had pure death with no hint of evil or light. It didn’t devour or melt, only transform others into death.

This manifestation of death went beyond the ghastly images of corpses, skulls, and rot. These things were ugly and shallow in comparison.

Amidst the astonished crowd, this world of death suddenly changed into a world of life. Similarly enough, it contained pure life, the other side of the coin versus the previous form.

“Is this the final profundity of life and death?” Emperors and desolate gods wondered about their understanding of these two phenomena. Life and death didn’t solely refer to the state of a particular existence.

“The essences of Life and Death Heaven.” A heaven-slayer murmured.
