Emperor’s Domination

Bao Pu’s true form was hidden from even overlords, shrouded by a visual phenomenon. Even when they activated their heavenly gaze, what they believed to be his true form was a mere illusion.

Some saw a radiant golden immortal preparing to guide the way for all inhabitants. Others saw a sacred being living in an immortal paradise of peace and felt the urge to follow him.

All in all, he had countless faces depending on the onlookers. Today, Li Qiye’s primordial power revealed his true appearance – a spirited old man. His features were quite extraordinary, especially his gemstone-like eyes. Within their depths glimmered a gleam like that of a treasure trove.

From this alone, he still matched the descriptions of an immortal – clearly a unique and brilliant individual.

However, they focused on his chest next. It withered and cracked wide open without any blood within.

The flesh looked white and withered like preserved meat left out in the desert for many years. Where was his heart?

Upon closer inspection, primal ancestors and heaven-slayers noticed something alive. It was white and thin, occasionally twitching randomly as if sleeping.

It coiled inside his chest cavity, filling it up. This turned out to be a worm, one long enough to fill up his chest instead of organs. Spectators were horrified since such a worm could understandably be seen on a corpse, but an immortal?

“What the hell is that thing?” Many emperors became nauseous.

They understood the immortal realm was at the top. They dreamed about becoming immortals since they saw two perfect beings – Desolate Ancestor and Zhan Sansheng.

The former created their cultivation system and was their role model. Zhan Sansheng, albeit bloodthirsty, never did anything unbecoming of an immortal.

Bao Pu, on the other hand, shattered their preconceived notion of an immortal. After all, even a fallen immortal should possess a pure dark affinity – just the other side of the coin.

Bao Pu’s appearance made them nauseous and shudder with fear.

“Is this an immortal?” A desolate god asked.

“How did he become one?” A heaven-slayer asked.

Some have heard the rumors before but ultimately, they thought a broken immortal was still magnificent.

“Look at how disgusting you are.” Li Qiye said.

Bao Pu’s expression darkened. He had endured suffering before. In his state, others were mere insects not worthy of his attention.

However, this only applied to other immortals. Bao Pu was different due to his ties and fixation with the mortal world.

In a forgotten epoch, he was the shining light for True Emperors and progenitors. He believed he deserved his prestige due to his contributions to the old cultivation system.

He always displayed his best side to the world, especially those who knew about him. This continued after his fall until today. He couldn’t accept others seeing his true horrific nature.
