I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 692: 12.94 Unknown Star - Modern ABO World: Second Case - Wanted Status

The pictures of Ying Su and Yu Xi had been spread all over the city. The work of the government intelligence division, Aster, was fast. In just a few hours, the wanted status of Ying Su and Yu Xi spread not only online, but in street advertisements, even making it an almost permanent flash news banner. Everyone would always see their photos and their memories would voluntarily register these wanted menʼs faces in fear of something bad happening. Because of this Ying Su and Yu Xi who tried to flee out of the country were almost caught multiple times at the airport and sea docks. This time Hei Yuhua and Prosecutor Ye Yuyan no longer need to hold back.

Thanks to Yu Xi joining the side of his beloved, Ying Su already knew that Hydrangea was never going to betray Ye Yuyan. Moreover, those people he ordered to be killed in the past few years were all protected by Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua. Just thinking about this Ying Su felt that he was toyed with by this hateful couple. He was thinking that his system had taken too long to return, but who would have thought that he would lose that annoying existence that trapped his soul in an endless loop of sadness, tragedy, and pain? No one would be delighted watching their loved one dies countless time before your eyes but unable to change the ending to something you wanted

At this moment, Yu Xi and Ying Su were hiding in the slum area where they had a route out of all possible ways to escape. They were hiding in a small house they had rented and even had the curtains of the house down and only a dim light inside the room. Yu Xi was looking out of the window carefully and saw patrol cars roaming around the area multiple times. The house they were staying in from the deceased doctor Shen ended up dead in the first case.

Ying Su made two instant noodles for him and Yu Xi. They had been on run for a whole day after being pursued from the airport and docks.

Ying Su said, ”Xu-gege, fill your stomach first. We can leave after we eat. I still have some disguised talismans with me. We can use it later.”

”No. Donʼt waste it. I have a human mask here. Letʼs use this to escape first. Since planes and ships arenʼt accessible, letʼs use the train instead. Thank you for the noodles, Suʼer,” said Yu Xi with a gentle smile at his lover as always.

Ying Su felt joy for his loverʼs care yet guilt for suffering this way with him. If it were not for him his lover would still be a respectable director at the police headquarters.

”Xi-gege, Iʼm sorry. You shouldnʼt be here with me. If I surrender myself would Brother Ye and Hei Yuhua forgive me?” asked Ying Su.

But as he asked this question Yu Xi recalled the scenes Ye Yuyan had shown to him that day. He had seen all episodes of the death of Hei Yuhua just to protect Ye Yuyan and the latter went mad afterward. Then he also saw the cold and lifeless eyes of Ying Su on his neck, a strange white snake with scarlet eyes leering at him.

Yu Xi held his loverʼs hand and said, ”Letʼs take our time. We should go into hiding somewhere first. Let the heat go out first. Right now, Yuyan and Yuhua might not think well of you. Even if you say that the system has gotten you under control, they wouldnʼt believe it right now.”

”I know... Xi-gege I...” He suddenly held his head as if he was in pain. Yu Xi has witnessed this multiple times and knows that he cannot do anything about it. His Suʼer said that a soul had been taking over his body since childhood.

This soul had the same name as he is, but he is different from the Ying Su of this original timeline. He is the Ying Su had full memories of his past lives and was hypnotized by the White Snake System to hate Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua to his core. This Ying Suʼs existence is an error caused by Lord Hei when they suddenly returned the time back.

After they had all returned to the past the soul of future Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua merged completely with the current Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua. Lord Hei helped with their soul merging and so there was no conflict between their two selves. But Ying Su was different. The prerequisite of his rebirth is time reversal. But according to the plot, the time would only reverse if Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua are both dead in the timeline.

The time reversal caused by System Yang and System Yue had accidentally brought his future soul back to the past like Hei Yuhua and Ye Yuyan. His soul wasnʼt protected like the first two and suffered quite a lot due to the transfer. This event greatly weakened the white snake system and Ying Suʼs soul. Because of this Ying Suʼs future soul fails to merge with the current timelineʼs Ying Su.

So in his body, they are two Ying Su. The Ying Su of the present and the Ying Su of the future. Moreover, the time reversal he had suffered caused him to jump time farther past that of Ye Yuyan and Hei Yuhua. This is the reason why the Red Poppy Syndicate was created when Ying Su was still young. The one who created it was Ying Su from the future.

Poppy grunted as he felt the throbbing pain in his head and saw Yu Xi looking at him worriedly.

”AʼXi, donʼt worry. It is just a slight pain from change. Itʼs evening now. The present Ying Su needs to rest. He wouldnʼt be able to help you escape,” said Poppy. This is the future Ying Su.

Yu Xi still held his loverʼs hand. Whether it was the innocent present Ying Su or the cold future Ying Su, he loves them both. To his eyes, both Ying Su is important.

”Hm~, go finish eating. In a while, we should take our leave. For now, letʼs hide in the countryside. Once the barricade checkpoints in the airport and docks, then we can escape from the country,” said Yu Xi.

Poppy didnʼt agree right away like the present innocent Ying Su. Instead, he stares at his lover with those cold eyes yet there is no killing intent or other emotion within it. Most people would feel uncomfortable being stared at like that but Yu Xi had a nerve of steel. Even if a volcano exploded near him he would still remain collectively calm and think of the best way to escape.

Former Police Director Yu Xi asked, ”Whatʼs wrong?”

Seeing his loverʼs gentle smile, Poppy ignored the uneasiness in his heart. He doesnʼt believe his lover would leave him like the other people. But he also knew that Yu Xi loves the innocent version of him rather than a cold-hearted one like he does.

Poppy averted his eyes and started eating, ”Nothing. But I donʼt agree with hiding in the countryside. The Syndicate had created a few hideouts that no one knew except me and Nightshade. Iʼm sure she would come looking for me in those places. We can wait for her there.”

”AʼSu, what do you plan to do?” asked Yu Xi.

Poppy said, ”If I said I wanted to kill ye Yuyan would you stop me?”

Yu Xi shut his mouth and grit his teeth as if denying something but in the end, he hardly responded with a single word.

”No.”

”Thatʼs good. But not, for now, I am currently running out of tools and pawns to use. I at least need to contact my executives once,” said Poppy.

Yu Xu asked, ”How? Your face and mine were under wanted status plus... Daturaʼs situation is the worst. His wicked deeds were spreading on the internet. I think his bounty is even higher than both of ours.”

”Donʼt worry about that madman. He wouldnʼt be caught so easily. He hated Hei Yuhua more than I did. Datura wouldnʼt stop unless he destroyed Hei Yuhua with his own hands. He was his obsession after his face was ruined by him,” said Poppy.

Yu Xi looked out of the window and saw that there was still sun out.

”Letʼs take a nap. We will leave when the sun completely sets. AʼSu, do you want to meet your elder brother Ying Wu?” asked Yu Xi.

Poppy halted his hand movement from eating the noodles and asked, ”Big brother was really alive? Who resurrected him?”

”I donʼt know much about the details. But I heard from the system around Yuyan that a God helped him,” explained Yu Xi.

Poppy mumbled, ”They are able to revive someone from the dead without nothing as a medium. Even the White Snake couldnʼt revive someone who died. Except for me, resurrection is impossible for the white snake system. Is the system with Ye Yuyan a real god or something?”

”What are you talking about?” asked Yu Xi.

Poppy replied, ”Nothing much. Iʼm done eating, letʼs go to sleep.”

”Sure.”

The two head to the bedroom they had cleaned up when they first arrived. Lying on the same bed, the lovers hugged each other in their sleep. They look peaceful even in the middle of all chaos.

Ye Yuyanʼs Condominium Building

Underground Prison

Nightshade finally woke up and saw herself tied to a chair. She felt weak as she looked up at the dim light swing above her head. The whole room itself was too dark and the only source of light was the small lamp on the top of her head.

Clang! Clang!

The sounds of metal echo in the room as Nightshade tries to move her hands. She tried controlling her pheromones and converting them to shadows like before but her pheromones remained the same as usual. Obviously, can no longer be converted into shadows. What remains is just a mere fragrance of an Alpha.

Nightshade mumbles, ”My special ability is gone...”

Lou Wei and Yun Jie sat on the couch near her and noticed Nightshade awake. Theyʼd been waiting for her all night.

”So the effects of the potion are that effective? It completely erased her special ability,” said Lou Wei.

Yun Jie said, ”It seems these potions are that effective but Uncle Hei said the once theyʼve tried to spread in the city were diluted ones with bad side effects. Where they plan to make our whole city an experiment. You are quite bold.”

Nightshade looked at the two coldly and she recognized them too well. One is the partner of Agent Y and the other is the right-hand man of Prosecutor Ye Yuyan.

Her eyes narrowed with scrutiny and said, ”Itʼs you two. Your bosses thought you could make me talk?” said Nightshade in a provocative manner.

Lou Wei just raised his eyebrows while Yun Jie remained silent. Nightshade provocation was useless to the two of them.

Yun Jie said, ”Brother and Brother Ye had already placed your boss under wanted status. Theyʼve been on the run since this morning. Thanks to Aster, they couldnʼt leave the country at all. We had blocked all routes of escaping abroad.”

”Moreover, with our people and Aster working together we planned to capture Azalea and Hyacinth today as well. Datura would be personally picked up by Saozi (Sister-in-law [Hei Yuhua]) and the captain. I donʼt think he can escape by then,” said Lou Wei.

Nightshade sneered at them and said, ”Arenʼt you guys forgetting a few people? What about Oleander and Iris? You donʼt have plans on catching them too? Then we would be able to escape.”

”Oleander and Iris? Hm, arenʼt those code names familiar?” asked Lou Wei.

”Itʼs Sir Bai Yin and Sir Wan Yi,” said Yun Jie.

Lou Wei said, ”Ah! Right but... arenʼt they on our side? If this woman says she would get help from them?”

”She didnʼt know that Sir Bai Yin and Sir Wan Yi were undercover agents from Aster and under Brother... Agent Yʼs command to infiltrate the Syndicate,” said Yun Jie.

According to big bosses they need to spread the news about Oleander and Iris being people who were originally on their side. This is to keep the existence of the systems and Godʼs backing them.
