The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 947: Chapter 967: I Really Like This Nickname

”You slept for so long and haven’t woken up, so I’m worried about you and rushed back to check on you,” Situ Yan put down the wine glass and rubbed his chiseled chin, leisurely looking at her:

”Why so tense? We’ll be spending a long time together in the future. If every time you see me, you act like a mouse seeing a cat, I’m afraid I really won’t be able to resist devouring you~”

Pah, Xia Xiaonuan really wished she could smash him with a throw pillow.

”I’m fine, you can leave!” Xia Xiaonuan said coldly, hugging the throw pillow.

Situ Yan suddenly reached out and grabbed one corner of the throw pillow in her hands.

Pulling with force.

Xia Xiaonuan’s expression changed: ”What are you doing?”

”You girls always love hugging pillows to sleep, I really don’t know what’s so great about pillows. An incredibly handsome man is right in front of you, you can totally swap the pillow for him!”

Xia Xiaonuan grasped the other end of the pillow tightly and sneered: ”Handsome man? Where, I don’t see one! I only see an ugly and annoying beast!”

”Hmm... Beast is a praise I quite like... Darling, is this the affectionate nickname you’re giving me?” Situ Yan gazed into her eyes with ardent intensity, asking ambiguously: ”In the future, when the two of us are close, you can call me that anytime!”

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...” Certain images floated in her mind, causing her face to flush red as she stared speechlessly at him.

This man, he’s so shameless the earth can’t contain him anymore!

”But... if you can stretch the word ’beast’ a little longer and soften the tone, that would be even better!” Situ Yan said with a smile.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

She gritted her teeth, glaring at him. He sat by the bed, still holding one end of the throw pillow.

The two of them were practically in a tug-of-war stance.

Xia Xiaonuan suddenly hurried to grab the pillow: ”Give it to me!”

”I told you... I’m very willing to act as your pillow; you can hug me any way you like, and I’m fully automatic too!” Situ Yan said, holding the corner of the pillow, his tone suggestive.

Xia Xiaonuan was furious, and even more heated was the way his blatant gaze made her entire body feel hot, her anger flared as she tugged the pillow with Situ Yan.

”No, I just want it!”

”You don’t get to choose!” Situ Yan pulled the pillow, exerting more force.

Initially, he intended to pull Xia Xiaonuan over to his side along with it.

Unexpectedly, Xia Xiaonuan was exerting all her might against him, yet suddenly in that moment when he increased his force, she abruptly let go; Situ Yan hadn’t foreseen this and, losing his balance, his expression shifted as he grasped the pillow, tumbling backward.

An expression of triumph appeared in Xia Xiaonuan’s eyes.

Watching Situ Yan fall headfirst onto the ground, like a turtle flipped over, she couldn’t help but laugh triumphantly.

”Now let’s see, who gets to choose?”

Situ Yan awkwardly fell to the ground, looking at the triumphant Xia Xiaonuan on the bed, gritting his teeth in anger.

Damn it, he was actually tricked by this little woman!

But...

His expression suddenly shifted, lying on the ground, he dropped the pillow, covering the wound on his left shoulder with one hand. His brow furrowed tightly.

Xia Xiaonuan looked at him, momentarily stunned.

Oh no, she almost forgot, his injury hasn’t healed yet!

”Situ Yan, are you alright?” She climbed to the edge of the bed and asked urgently.

”No... I’m fine...” Situ Yan said, his voice trembling, yet his face clearly showing a pained expression.
