The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 919: Chapter 939: Can You Be a Little More Gentle?

Xia Xiaonuan widened her eyes and looked at him, a trickle of cold sweat formed on his forehead.

His head was also covered in vegetable soup.

Even though the corner was filled with the aroma of essential oils, it couldn’t mask the smell on his body.

Xia Xiaonuan bit her lower lip.

Situ Yan forcefully took off his shirt, then reached for his belt.

Xia Xiaonuan quickly turned her face away.

”You... let me out, I’ll call someone...”

”You can choose not to help me and just stand there. But you can’t leave.”

”Why?”

”What do you think? You poured soup on my face in front of everyone, and now you’re acting like it’s a chore to help me bathe?” Situ Yan raised an eyebrow.

Embarrassed in public, he needed to save face somehow.

Otherwise, if it reached Lang Ba and the others, they’d start criticizing Xia Xiaonuan again.

Xia Xiaonuan’s face darkened.

”Well... if you hadn’t been fooling around during the meal, would I have poured soup on your face?” Xia Xiaonuan argued.

”Ah...” Situ Yan suddenly clutched his shoulder and cried out in pain.

Xia Xiaonuan startled, quickly moved forward: ”Are you alright?”

”I’m fine!” Situ Yan frowned.

His shoulder was bandaged, and traces of blood had seeped through.

Xia Xiaonuan said helplessly: ”Okay, stop moving then.”

Situ Yan stopped his actions.

Xia Xiaonuan walked to the sink: ”I’m warning you, I’ll only help wash your upper body, don’t you dare take more off!”

Situ Yan’s sharp eyes flickered with a hint of a smile.

”Alright...”

She turned on the faucet, letting out warm water.

She tested the temperature of the water.

”Lower your head,” Xia Xiaonuan said.

Situ Yan lowered his head, and Xia Xiaonuan grabbed his hair, pressing it into the water.

”Pff...” Situ Yan almost choked: ”Xia Xiaonuan, can you be a bit gentler?”

Xia Xiaonuan’s lips twitched slightly.

She wet his hair with water, picked up the men’s shampoo from the rack.

The brand of shampoo was among the best in the world.

Pouring the shampoo onto Situ Yan’s head, Xia Xiaonuan reached out and began to wash his hair.

The man’s hair was very coarse and black. But there were still some leaves in it, so Xia Xiaonuan washed it several times.

Situ Yan held onto the sink with one hand, the woman’s hand running through his hair, gently kneading the foam.

Warm water flowed over his head.

Situ Yan suddenly closed his eyes comfortably.

He seemed to recall his mother washing his hair like this when he was a child.

Xia Xiaonuan, however, felt extremely vexed. Why was she enduring this suffering with Situ Yan? It wasn’t enough that she had to see his displeased face, get taken advantage of, she also had to take care of his cleaning!

It felt like taking care of an imbecile!

Really dizzying.

But... thinking of how Situ Yan shielded her from a bullet, she couldn’t really be cruel to him.

After all, if it hadn’t been for Situ Yan blocking it, she might have already met King Yan by now! At that time, it would have been two lives lost as well.

Xia Xiaonuan sighed lightly.

She rinsed the foam off the man’s head with clean water.

”Done,” Xia Xiaonuan said.

”Done? How come I still smell something?” Situ Yan said discontentedly.

Xia Xiaonuan: ”...”

She bowed her head, sniffed his hair: ”Smells pretty nice, there’s no smell anymore.”

”But I clearly smell something.” Situ Yan said: ”Smell it again carefully.”

Xia Xiaonuan brought her nose closer to his head and sniffed it again.

”There’s really no smell left,” she said impatiently.
