The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 931: Chapter 951: Already Discovered by Him

”Miss Xia, where are you going?” the bodyguard at the door stopped her and asked.

”Where’s the kitchen?”

”Miss Xia, if you want something to eat, just instruct the servants to prepare it for you.”

”I already instructed yesterday that it should be delivered this morning, yet it’s not here! How are you guys doing your job? Do you want to anger me to death?”

The bodyguard’s face changed.

He quickly bowed and said, ”Miss Xia, please calm down... Maybe... if you tell me what you want to eat, I can help you get it?”

”No need, using you people is useless! I’ll go myself!”

”But...” The bodyguard stopped her: ”Xia Xiaonuan, Young Master has ordered...”

”What? Didn’t Young Master tell you that whatever I want to eat or use must be satisfied? If you anger Young Master, do you know the consequences?”

The bodyguard’s face turned pale with fright and had to step aside.

”Alright... the kitchen is in the pavilion up ahead, turn left to get there. The daily delivery truck always goes there.”

Xia Xiaonuan nodded and started walking toward the distance.

As dawn was just breaking, the entire castle was somewhat quiet.

Xia Xiaonuan arrived at the pavilion, turned a corner, and saw a small truck parked in the courtyard inside.

Several servants were counting the fruits on the rack beside them.

Xia Xiaonuan quietly approached and could smell the thick scent of vegetables mixed with the fishy smell of seafood and the aroma of fruits.

A middle-aged man was holding a calculator, figuring something out.

Suddenly, the man pulled over a chef beside him, glanced at the servants in the corner, and lowered his voice to say:

”Chef Li, today’s batch of vegetables is the largest of the month, I went through quite a few hoops to get it. We... still split it this way...”

The man made a three-seven hand gesture as he spoke.

Chef Li glanced deeply at him and nodded with a smile: ”Alright...”

”Chef Li... there’s something, did you manage to bring up the matter of getting my son in here?”

Chef Li frowned and said, ”Old Mu, don’t worry, I’ll talk to Housekeeper Hera... However, I’ve heard that recently a woman came here, and the Young Master and the housekeepers are quite busy. Last time, I heard the housekeeper and Lord Han are sending people every day to keep an eye on that woman, fearing she’ll escape. This matter will have to wait a bit before being raised.”

”Chef Li, please make sure you keep this matter in mind...”

”Rest assured, I won’t forget the promise I made to you!”

After they spoke, they exchanged a knowing smile.

Xia Xiaonuan’s whole face changed color.

So, Situ Yan had really started to suspect her.

Could it be that her actions today had already been detected by him?

He hadn’t come back for days; could it be he wanted her to let down her guard while secretly observing her?

Xia Xiaonuan bit her lower lip.

Suddenly, the man said, ”I’ll head off first then...”

Xia Xiaonuan quickly crouched down and hid behind nearby bushes.

The truck door closed, and the delivery truck sped away.

Xia Xiaonuan gripped the tree branch a little harder.

A tree branch snapped in her hand.

She took a deep breath, stood up, and slowly stepped forward.

Seeing her, the servants turned to look at her.

”And you are...” Chef Li also stepped forward and looked at Xia Xiaonuan curiously.

Seeing it was a Chinese woman, he froze.

Generally, pure Chinese women were rarely seen here. Moreover, despite her petite figure, this woman was so beautiful and graceful that she clearly wasn’t ordinary.
