The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 580: Chapter 582: Liang Shaochen, What Do You Mean?

”Better safe than sorry!” Mr. Xia said sternly.

”...”

Xia Zhennan pondered and said, ”It’s just... I don’t know who’s secretly helping the Xia Family...”

”Yes, if we could find this person, we should thank them properly!”

Mrs. Xia smiled and handed a peeled apple to Xia Zhennan, ”Dear, don’t think about it for now, have some fruit first.”

...

Xia Xiaonuan returned to the ward after getting the meal and started setting it up for him.

The aroma of the food filled the air. Just then, there was a knock on the door.

Mrs. Xia went to open the door, and Xia Xiaonuan heard her ask curiously, ”And you are...?”

”Oh, I’m a friend of Xiaonuan. I heard Mr. Xia was hospitalized, so I came to see him.”

A familiar and pleasant voice sounded, and Xia Xiaonuan felt her heart skip a beat. The bowl in her hand nearly slipped to the floor.

”Xiaonuan, be careful.” Xia Zhennan frowned and said.

Xia Xiaonuan smiled as she set the bowl down and turned to see Liang Shaochen standing at the door with several gift boxes.

He had come alone, without even bringing his assistant.

Xia Xiaonuan looked at his handsome face and felt a bit light-headed.

”Shao... Shaochen?”

”Xiaonuan, this must be... the president of Liang Group, Liang Shaochen, right?” Nangong Zhengnan recognized him instantly from the newspapers. He looked even more handsome and dignified in person, with a scholarly air about him.

Xia Xiaonuan quickly nodded, ”Yes...” She then walked up to Liang Shaochen, looking nervous as she whispered, ”Why did you come?”

Liang Shaochen smiled at her, a smile with a meaningful depth, ”I came to see your father. Xiaonuan, why didn’t you tell me your father was sick last time?”

He looked at her, seeming to ask seriously.

Xia Xiaonuan’s cheeks flushed with heat as she quickly said, ”I... I forgot...” Gosh, why does it feel like his words are a bit odd, as if they were very close or something!

But she couldn’t find any reason to refute him at the moment.

In short, Liang Shaochen had been making her feel odd lately!

Mrs. Xia saw the situation and already had a big smile on her face. She quickly stepped forward and said, ”Mr. Liang, you didn’t have to bring so many things, it’s really too kind.”

Liang Shaochen put the things on a nearby table and smiled, ”It’s only proper, Mrs. Xia.”

Then he turned and looked at the Xia Zhennan on the bed. He extended his hand and said, ”Mr. Xia, I am Liang Shaochen. Although the Liang and Xia Families haven’t had business dealings, you have always been an elder I admire. It’s an honor to meet you.”

Xia Zhennan didn’t expect Liang Shaochen to come visit. The Liang Family’s businesses were many times larger than the Xia Family’s; he was already quite surprised. That he would even speak such praises made him excited, his eyes gleaming as he quickly reached out to shake Liang Shaochen’s hand, saying with a smile, ”It’s my honor as well. Mr. Liang, you are truly talented and capable, even more impressive than in the newspapers!”

Liang Shaochen smiled, ”Mr. Xia, you flatter me...”

Xia Zhennan quickly said, ”Xiaonuan, what are you standing there for? Serve Mr. Liang some tea!”

Xia Xiaonuan came to her senses, quickly nodded, and went to pour the tea. Mrs. Xia hurriedly said to the servant, ”Go wash the fruits, wash everything in the basket...” As she spoke, she handed the fruit basket to the servant.

The servant complied and went off.

Liang Shaochen looked at Xia Zhennan and said, ”This time the matters between Liang Group and Nangong Group have also affected Xia Family. If Mr. Xia needs anything, I will definitely help.”
