The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 496: Chapter 497: Hurrying to the Hospital to See Him?

Xia Xiaonuan was trapped at home, feeling bored.

She surfed the internet for a while, wandered around the greenhouse for a while, then headed to the gym; she could go anywhere in the house, except Nan Mo wouldn’t let her leave.

Xia Xiaonuan was worried about Shaochen’s health and could only confirm it by calling Zhong Li.

Fortunately, Nangong Zhongli told her that Shaochen’s health was gradually improving, but he still couldn’t recall the past.

At the end, Nangong Zhongli even smiled and said, ”Shaochen mentioned you, you know? Last time, he asked me why you hadn’t visited.”

Xia Xiaonuan was slightly stunned.

A hint of joy welled up in her heart, and she smiled, ”Really?”

”Yes, maybe you have a more amiable appearance,” Zhong Li chuckled, ”Honestly, I think this is good. With his memory loss, he won’t look for that Qiqi anymore. In that case, maybe I can still stay by his side.”

Xia Xiaonuan gave a bitter smile.

”Yeah, I’ve been a bit busy recently, so I can’t go to the hospital to help you.”

”It’s okay, no worries.”

Xia Xiaonuan hung up the phone, feeling a storm of emotions.

Nan Mo had lost his memory, yet he still remembered to look for her.

She didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but either way, there was no possibility between them anymore.

Xia Xiaonuan walked alone to the piano in the living room, looking at the sheet music. Although she couldn’t play, she managed to clumsily play a simple tune.

Today, she played ”Fairy Tale.”

An old song, but fitting her mood at the moment.

You cried and told me that fairy tales are all lies.

I’m not likely to be your angel.

She played with focus, and her thoughts were also concentrated, not even noticing the person behind her.

Nan Mo returned home, hearing the piano sound from the corner. The servant wanted to call out to her, but he waved the servant off.

He took off his coat and walked to stand behind Xia Xiaonuan.

Her playing was very crude, often hitting wrong notes, but she was playing with great enthusiasm.

With her hair hanging down her back, her petite figure carried a sense of sorrow and loneliness. Standing by the white flower rack in front of the window, she seemed to possess a touch of ethereal quality.

Nan Mo gazed at her, feeling a subtle twinge in his heart.

The corner of his lips curled slightly.

”What’s this? Suddenly remembered you wanted to play the piano?” The voice from behind startled Xia Xiaonuan, snapping her back to reality. Her fingers pressed down hard, producing a sharp, discordant noise from the piano keys.

She turned to glare at him, seeing the tall figure, a face as cold as ice, and frowned, ”You scared me!”

”Your playing also scared me,” Nan Mo retorted.

Xia Xiaonuan was speechless.

”You used to play very well, can’t you remember any of it now?” he asked.

Xia Xiaonuan rolled her eyes, ”If I could remember, would I be playing this horribly? The Xia Xiaonuan who could play the piano before wasn’t even me, okay?”

Nan Mo stepped over to sit in the chair, ”If you want to play, I can teach you.”

Xia Xiaonuan responded coldly, ”I don’t need you to teach me. How long are you going to keep me trapped here?”

Nan Mo seemed not to hear, ”Even though you played, not a single note was correct, and some of the keys are out of tune. If you truly want to learn, I’ll get a tuner to fix it tomorrow and hire a proper teacher for you.”

”Nan Mo!” she cried out, her interest was not in the piano at all, he was definitely doing this on purpose.

Nan Mo grabbed her hand and pulled her onto his lap forcefully.

”What are you doing?” she struggled angrily.
