The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 493: Chapter 494: Can I Still Have You?

Xia Xiaonuan stood in front of him, looking at his calm demeanor, her lips twitched.

But she unexpectedly noticed that his hand was wrapped in a bandage, making his actions to pick up food somewhat laborious.

Yet it did not seem to affect his appetite, as he ate with great relish.

Xia Xiaonuan couldn’t help but swallow her saliva.

How did Nangong Yaoling get injured?

Could it be... because of what happened last night?

A trace of unease rose in her heart.

”Nangong Yaoling, what I said last night was just a moment of anger, you... you don’t have to take it to heart...”

His actions of picking up food paused slightly.

Nangong Yaoling continued shoveling food into his mouth, and then suddenly stopped a moment later.

The corner of his lips raised a cold smile, and he spoke lightly, ”I think it wasn’t just a moment of anger, but something you’ve been hiding in your heart all along, right?”

Xia Xiaonuan bit her lower lip.

Nangong Yaoling saw that she had no rebuttal and assumed she tacitly agreed, his brows moved.

He continued to wolf down his food.

Suddenly, while eating, he choked.

The maid quickly stepped forward and handed him some water.

Nangong Yaoling drank the water, his face pale, coughing forcefully.

Xia Xiaonuan was scared, rushed forward, and grabbed him: ”Hey... are you okay?”

”Get away——!” Nangong Yaoling shoved her away roughly.

Xia Xiaonuan fell against the wall behind her, looking at Nangong Yaoling, feeling indescribable.

Suddenly, she thought of something.

She slowly spoke: ”Anyway, we’re already divorced, even if I did something or said something, you don’t have to pay it much mind, and... haven’t you already got Jiang Xue?”

Nangong Yaoling waved at the maid serving the water, and she quickly retreated.

The entire dining room was left with just the two of them.

Xia Xiaonuan stood against the wall, Nangong Yaoling’s face yet to recover, still looking awful.

He slowly walked towards her, his tall figure blocking the sunlight.

”So what? Xia Xiaonuan? Do you want to take the opportunity while I’m with Jiang Xue, to get together with Liang Shaochen?”

”What are you talking about?” Xia Xiaonuan frowned, ”He doesn’t have me in his heart at all, I’ve never thought of that!”

”Yes...” Nangong Yaoling gritted his teeth, placing one hand on the wall behind her, his breath approaching her, the scorching breath almost spraying on her face.

”He doesn’t love you at all, yet you’re willing to give everything for him, act like a beast of burden, Xia Xiaonuan, isn’t that being pathetic?”

Xia Xiaonuan’s gaze flickered.

His words were too harsh, instantly infuriating Xia Xiaonuan.

She immediately retorted: ”Nangong Yaoling, I don’t love you either, yet you are willing to give everything for me, pampering me in every possible way? Now you even want to imprison me? Aren’t you pathetic too?!”

The tall man’s body suddenly stiffened.

In an instant, a wave of sinister aura erupted from him.

The cold atmosphere seemed to freeze the entire air instantly.

He reached out and grabbed her chin.

”You’re right... we are both pathetic.” Nangong Yaoling suddenly laughed, his handsome face breaking into a wicked smile, like a demon in the dark night.

Suddenly, he lowered his head slightly, taking a light sniff behind her ear.

In a chilling, deep voice, he said:

”Yes, we are the same kind of people. But Xia Xiaonuan, there’s one thing where I’m smarter than you... at least, I don’t give unconditionally... I can still possess your body...”

As he spoke, his large hand violently tore her clothes, and lowered his head, harshly kissing her lips.

Xia Xiaonuan struggled forcefully, his kiss was brutal and bloody, almost biting her lips to bleed. His entire body emitted intense hatred, as if trying to drain her blood like a vampire.
