The Young Master's Escaping Bride Who Lost Memories

Chapter 492: Chapter 493: Why Are You Detaining Me?

Nangong Zhongli noticed that the cars next to them were all surpassing theirs, as theirs was moving like a snail.

”Hey, can’t you drive faster?” Nangong Zhongli glared at Qin Yi and yelled.

Qin Yi came to his senses, his cheeks even reddening slightly, and stammered, ”Ah... yes... Miss Zhong Li...”

He seemed not to dare to look at her more than a glance, and just straightened up and focused intensely on the road.

Nangong Zhongli noticed the flush on his cheeks and was slightly taken aback.

This Qin Yi usually appeared aloof and cool, but every time he encountered something, he could always analyze it rationally, which showed he was quite clever. Otherwise, the Nangong Family wouldn’t value him so highly.

She had never looked at him closely before, but now that she was closer, she realized that he was actually quite handsome.

Although his eyes were single-lidded, they weren’t small, which was quite fashionable among men now.

His skin, often exposed to the elements, had a tan, healthy color.

His nose was straight, and his chin was sharp, overall giving him a clear and somewhat stern contour.

But... his blushing was really strange, could it be because of her?

This man could be incredibly annoying at times, but... sometimes he was quite amusing to find.

Nangong Zhongli wanted to laugh looking at him, so she turned her face away.

Thinking of that passion-filled night, a blush appeared on her delicate cheeks as well.

Xia Xiaonuan had been waiting at home all day for Nangong Yaoling to return.

In the end, Nangong Yaoling did not come back.

Instead, she was confined for the entire day.

”Go away, let me out!” Xia Xiaonuan packed her suitcase, ready to leave.

However, two bodyguards blocked her way: ”Sorry, Young Madam, Young Master wants you to rest well at home.”

”I’ve rested for a whole day already! What right do you have to confine me?!”

”Young Madam, please don’t make it difficult for us...” one of the bodyguards said.

Xia Xiaonuan was frantic.

She shouldn’t have come back. Today, when Nangong Yaoling had the bodyguards bring her back, she felt something was wrong.

Now, thinking back, she should have run away on the spot.

At that moment, the sound of a car came from outside.

Xia Xiaonuan came back to her senses, and shortly after, the door to the room was opened.

Nangong Yaoling walked in.

”Nangong Yaoling, what do you mean by this? What right do you have to confine me?” Xia Xiaonuan shouted angrily.

”Young Madam, did you nap during the day?” Nangong Yaoling took off his scarf and gloves, and the maid respectfully accepted them. Yun, watching from the corner, had been persuading Xia Xiaonuan without success and finally had to step forward and say: ”Young Master, Young Madam napped for a while in the morning.”

Nangong Yaoling nodded: ”No wonder you’re so energetic, yelling and shouting here.”

Xia Xiaonuan’s face darkened.

”Nangong Yaoling, we’re already divorced, I want to move out. What right do you have to confine me?”

Nangong Yaoling glanced at her and then said to Yun: ”I’m hungry, let’s eat.”

Yun looked at Xia Xiaonuan and then quickly nodded: ”Yes, Young Master, dinner is ready.”

After saying that, she glanced at Xia Xiaonuan again: ”Young Madam, please have dinner with Young Master.”

Xia Xiaonuan had no appetite at all. She watched as Nangong Yaoling ignored her, elegantly rolled up his sleeves, and walked towards the dining room.

She was about to go crazy.

She caught up with him: ”Nangong Yaoling, I’m talking to you! Didn’t you hear me?”

The aroma of food wafted through the air, and the maid respectfully pulled out a chair for Nangong Yaoling. Nangong Yaoling sat down, picked up a bowl and chopsticks, and started eating with his head down.
