The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

Lin Qing felt somewhat uneasy.

Song Ci burst into laughter, waved her over to sit by her side, and said, ”At this moment, you seem to have lost your past composure, there’s a shy feeling like an ugly bride finally meeting her father-in-law.”

Lin Qing felt greatly embarrassed and retorted, ”What are you saying, Madam?”

Song Ci took her hand, patted it, and said, ”Master will be here soon, so I won’t beat around the bush and will get straight to the point. I have no intention of probing into your past, after all, everyone has secrets they don’t wish to reveal to outsiders. I’ve heard some rumors about you before, were you once fond of Master?”

Lin Qing’s face turned slightly pale.

”It’s okay, we’re just chatting, women among ourselves, there’s nothing that cannot be said. Everyone has a time when love was new and budding, you and I are both mortal, no exceptions.”

Lin Qing steadied her heart, licked her lips, and said, ”Don’t you find it against social norms?”

”Even the Wei Family has Wei Cheng who is fond of the same sex, isn’t that more against social norms? It’s merely admiration for a master, so what’s the harm?”

Lin Qing lowered her eyes, ”According to tradition, Master Buhui should be my grandmaster.”

”Grandmaster or master, in the end, they’re just men.” Song Ci gave her a sidelong glance but couldn’t resist saying, ”I met Master Buhui yesterday, to be honest, his image is quite... um, strong. I thought you liked those gentlemanly and gentle types, like jade, didn’t expect...”

Lin Qing burst into laughter, her brows and eyes becoming lively, ”It’s not as terrible as you say, he’s just a bit rugged, but his medical skills are extremely refined and precise, and he possesses great wisdom.”

Song Ci muttered, ”Maybe I’m more superficial, the first glance must appeal to the eyes, only then would I be interested in his inner self and wisdom.”

This...

Admitting simplicity so openly left her somewhat at a loss for words.

”Going off-topic, I’m saying, if you’re uncomfortable, you can avoid him, since he’s here to diagnose me anyway. As for the pulse record, I can have someone pass it to you, so you wouldn’t have to face him awkwardly with lingering feelings.”

Lin Qing felt warmth in her heart, shook her head, and softly replied, ”It’s fine, that’s all in the past. As you said, didn’t everyone have moments of budding love in their youth? I’m now thirty, the past is long gone, he’s just my grandmaster.”

”Are you sure?”

Lin Qing nodded.

Song Ci: ”Alright then, since you have it all figured out, just do as you please. Ah, who hasn’t encountered a few scoundrels in their youth.”

He would rather enter monastic life than accept Lin Qing’s feelings for a young girl; super scoundrel, protective and not open to rebuttals.

Lin Qing: ”...”

Chun Fen lifted the curtain and entered, curtsied, and said, ”Madam, Second Master is accompanying Master Buhui in.”

Lin Qing immediately stood up and looked towards the door.

Song Ci glanced at her and said, ”Invite them in.”

Chun Fen responded with a smile, walked to the door, saw Second Master and Buhui arriving at the door, and personally lifted the curtain, letting the two of them enter.

Buhui entered the room, immediately seeing Lin Qing standing beside Song Ci, slightly surprised, yet revealing a faint smile.

Whether it was the warmth of the room or something else, Lin Qing’s sight became somewhat blurred, and she couldn’t help but curtsy in salute.

Buhui nodded, first offering a Buddhist greeting to Song Ci, then looked at Lin Qing and said, ”It’s been years since we last met, little Lin Qing has grown up.”

Song Ci restrained herself from rolling her eyes and said, ”Serve Master tea first, then please have Master check the pulse.”

Buhui: ”...”

Suddenly felt a hint of hostility.
