The Valued Lady is Truly Dominant

It’s impossible for Little Liao to be innocent.

Song Ruqi listened to her grandmother and mother’s analysis, gritting her teeth in hatred, wishing she could immediately return to the Duke Mansion and tear apart the insolent Little Liao, slapping her face until it’s ruined.

”Little Liao’s heart deserves condemnation. Mother, if this matter is just let go like this, their Duke Mansion will likely think that our Prime Minister’s Mansion is easy to bully.” Madam said coldly.

Song Ci slid her prayer beads and said, ”Naturally, it can’t just end like this.”

Song Ruqi looked over, her eyes full of hope.

Song Ci also looked her way and said, ”Qi’er, this is an affair of your own household, it should be resolved by you and your husband. The Prime Minister’s Mansion is here to support you and be your backing.”

Madam opened her mouth, but her mother-in-law stopped her with a glance.

Song Ruqi paused for a moment, then thought and said, ”Grandmother, please teach me.”

”Grandmother has said before, if there is anything, don’t bear it by yourself. You have a husband, and everything should be discussed with him. Of course, it doesn’t mean to bother him with every small matter, but for something like this, which concerns both husband and wife, you should naturally talk to him, tell him your worries and fears, you need him.”

Song Ruqi seemed thoughtful.

”Women are naturally gentle, though there’s a saying that motherhood makes one strong, not everything should be burdened on you, otherwise what are men for?” Song Ci said earnestly, ”You have already lost a child, and now heaven pities you, blessing you with another child, it certainly should be taken seriously. Especially your husband, he’s almost twenty-five, his life feels empty, he must be very hopeful for this child.”

Song Ruqi nodded, that’s true. After finding out, Qi San, that guy, asked three times before he jumped for joy and even had the steward move his belongings to accompany her for a short stay with her family.

He really cares about this pregnancy.

Song Ci saw her nod and said, ”Though Qi San can be foolish at times, he’s still upright, he will surely value his legitimate children, especially after losing one, this one becomes even more precious. If he knew someone was trying to harm you, what do you think he would do?”

”Now, we have kept that wallet. You should hand it over to him, without exaggeration and without mentioning past affairs, just explain today’s events. Let him send it back, and preferably in front of the Lord and the Duke’s wife, say that Little Liao left it behind and return it to her, then announce the good news that you are expecting.”

”Once the wallet is handed up, along with the news of your pregnancy, the Duke and his wife will naturally understand the implications without you saying anything, they will take action because the accusation you’re making is all conveyed through that wallet.”

Song Ruqi’s eyes sparkled.

Madam also nodded subtly, the idea was indeed clever.

”Grandmother, when my husband returns, I will send him home.” Song Ruqi said.

Song Ci nodded and said, ”Little Liao won’t be able to stir up any trouble, you don’t need to waste your energy fighting with her. As mentioned before, right now the most important thing is to nurture the fetus and have a safe delivery. You’ve heard Lin Qing’s words, she’s never aimless and her words are meant to frighten you, if you continue like before, you will face difficulties later. So, take it easy, once you have a child and your husband has a promising future, you can just watch her as a joke.”

Song Ruqi felt a chill in her heart and solemnly nodded, ”Grandmother, your granddaughter has learned a valuable lesson.”

With nothing more to say, Song Ci had Madam escort her back to the courtyard, as the elderly have limited energy and need rest.
