Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture

Ye Jingcheng was the first to take the Spirit Beast Jade Talisman. Although Ye Haiping was somewhat puzzled, at this moment, Ye Jingcheng also wanted to see if the Spirit Beast images would have any impact on his Treasure Book.

He picked up the Jade Talisman, placed it on his forehead, and immediately saw a verdant valley filled with birds and fragrant flowers, where various spirit beasts appeared before him.

These spirit beasts included the Unicorn Barbarian Bull, the Golden-edged Python, and even the Red Crowned Snow Eagle…

They soared, ran, and cast various spells as they hunted.

Each one had sharp eyes and exuded a fierce aura.

As he examined the Jade Talisman, more than a dozen rather mature spirit beasts appeared before Ye Jingcheng; none of these spirit beasts were exceptions, all were Late Stage of Tier One cultivation.

Comparable to the Qi Cultivation Eighth Layer and Ninth Layer.

However, the Treasure Book did not react at all. It should be noted that initially, when sensing the Blood Leech Eggs remotely, Ye Jingcheng perceived images in the Treasure Book, even though he did not fully activate it.

Yet, he knew those Blood Leech Eggs were extraordinary.

These spirit beasts, however, didn’t give Ye Jingcheng the same feeling; instead, they seemed to have exhausted their potential.

As transitional demon beasts or perhaps as Guardian Spirit Beasts, they might still be good, but Ye Jingcheng already had two spirit beasts and naturally didn’t need them.

No wonder Ye Haiping advised against him choosing a spirit beast.

He guessed that Jing Yong’s Red Armored Beast was that type of spirit beast.

Ye Jingcheng put the Jade Talisman aside and then started checking the jade talismans on the wooden stand.

He took a deep breath; cultivation techniques were most important to him.

He did not choose the Yellow Tier techniques but directly looked at the Profound-Tier Jade Talismans.

His Beast Communication Pattern was seven inches; in the future, it would not be a problem to communicate with several spirit beasts, and his cultivation speed would not be slow. Choosing a better cultivation technique to lay a stronger foundation was clearly more important.

The first Jade Talisman he picked up revealed that the cultivation technique was a Lower Grade Profound Tier technique, named Great Yuan Flame Scripture, which could be cultivated to the Foundation Establishment Peak. When cultivated to great success, it could gather flaming dragons with immense power.

However, Ye Jingcheng glanced at it and shook his head; this technique was like an upgrade of his Li Fire Skill, not very attractive to him.

He continued to look at the second jade talisman, which recorded the Three Pristine Jade Sea Scripture.

Ye Jingcheng skimmed through it; this technique mainly focused on water attribute, supplemented by wood and earth attributes, suitable for cultivating three attributes, and was most fitting for Three Spirit Root cultivators.

Ye Jingcheng also shook his head at this technique; he was most skilled in fire attribute techniques, and his highest spirit beast innate talent currently was the Red Flame Fox.

He couldn’t put aside the fundamental for the secondary.

He continued to pick up the third jade talisman, but he still frowned; this time, it was a cultivation technique with earth and wood attributes.

After a quarter of an hour passed, he had looked through six Lower Grade Profound Tier techniques; although some suited him, they still lacked a certain feeling for Ye Jingcheng; now, he reached the last technique.

He placed the Jade Talisman on his forehead, seeing this technique was the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture.

This Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture was quite special, different from the traditional Four Symbols. This scripture combined four attributes, and they were not fixed.

Cultivators with Four Spirit Roots or Five Spirit Roots could cultivate it, focusing on compatibility.

It didn’t necessarily require certain four spirit roots to cultivate.

Moreover, there were also quite a few Tier Two spells paired with it.

The only flaw was that after breaking through Foundation Establishment, if the spiritual energy inside was unbalanced, it would greatly affect the breakthrough.

Essentially, a cultivator must cultivate the four attributes of spiritual energy to the critical point to successfully break through; if one energy falls behind, it significantly reduces the chances of a breakthrough.

Conversely, if the balance is excellent, it increases the probability of breakthrough by several percent, with few bottlenecks, and even provides certain aid when breaking through greater realms.

Ye Jingcheng hesitated at this moment; choosing this technique indeed suited his seven-inch Beast Communication Pattern, but the premise was finding at least three potential spirit beasts matching his spirit roots; otherwise, cultivating two techniques would be too strenuous given his talent.

Yet, choosing other techniques, Ye Jingcheng was reluctant to forgo the aid in breaking through greater realms.

After all, only by breaking through greater realms could cultivators achieve significant increases in lifespan.

Qi Cultivation grants 120 years, Foundation Establishment grants 250 years, Purple Mansion grants 500 years, Golden Core grants 1000 years, and Nascent Soul grants 2000 years!

Each breakthrough is an irresistible temptation for any cultivator.

“Jingcheng, the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture actually falls under Profound Tier Middle Grade techniques, but due to its high spirit beast requirements, needing four Foundation Establishment Demon Beasts during the Foundation Establishment stage, even with your five-inch Beast Communication Pattern, it’s insufficient!”

“Therefore, it’s a Lower Grade Profound Tier technique; moreover, if it’s spread to the outside world, letting ordinary Four Spirit Root and Five Spirit Root cultivators train, its rating might drop to Yellow Tier. Achieving success requires a vast amount of time and resources!” Ye Haiping couldn’t help but speak.

Ye Jingcheng lingered too long over the last jade talisman; now, he was somewhat worried!

Although the innate talent of Ye Jingcheng’s Red Flame Fox and Golden Scale Beast was good, currently they were just in their Juvenile Stage; even with excellent bloodlines and bonuses, they would slow down significantly upon reaching Foundation Establishment.

Although the Ye Family has records of several remedies to improve certain spirit beast bloodlines, the conditions are extremely strict.

Unless Ye Jingcheng can find several potential descendants of Purple Mansion Spirit Beasts, but that possibility is extremely slim!

“Eighth Grandfather, I want to give it a try!” Ye Jingcheng finally chose the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture.

He had the Treasure Book, which could enhance the bloodlines of spirit beasts. As long as his Alchemy Skill kept up, and found enough Spirit Medicine, refined enough Spirit Pills, to improve the spirit beast bloodlines, his cultivation speed wouldn’t be slow.

The only disadvantage was whether he could find four corresponding spirit beasts.

The Jade Ring Rat barely counted as wood attribute, but its growth potential was even slower than Ye Jingcheng himself; it’s adequate for sensing danger occasionally.

Another reason that made Ye Jingcheng willing to try was that the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture was considered a Profound Tier Middle Grade technique. With fewer bottlenecks, even if cultivation progress was affected by breaking realms, it would only occur upon reaching Foundation Establishment, birthing True Essence.

Before that, the impact of uncoordinated spiritual energy wasn’t particularly significant!

And by the time he reached Foundation Establishment, it would probably be forty or fifty years later, at which point he would have 250 years of lifespan, enough to find more suitable spirit beasts.

“Eighth Grandfather, I feel that the Red Flame Fox might not be limited to Late Stage of Second Tier!” Seeing Ye Haiping’s unchanged expression, obviously displeased with his choice, Ye Jingcheng had to speak again.

Upon hearing this, Ye Haiping finally showed a reaction; his gaze turned slightly deep, as if recalling, and eventually concluded that Ye Jingcheng might truly be correct.

The most critical thing about spirit beasts is their bloodline; typically, the Ye Family judges a spirit beast by its species, but an unusual bloodline within a spirit beast can certainly breach its original limits.

“Since you chose this way, then this technique it is. Remember to work harder, also memorize the Four Phase Celestial Essence Scripture here, and when going out, remember to make a sad face; the Ye Family is merely a bottom-ranked Foundation Establishment Clan!” Ye Haiping continued to remind.
