Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 37: Chapter 37: Foundation Establishment Blood Cultivator

Just as the eight people descended, a battle had already started below.

Two cultivators flew out from the mountain peak, and Ye Jingcheng recognized them; they were the two who had previously chased him and the others.

However, now the eyes of these two were filled with blood, looking both eerie and sinister.

Evidently, the Red Thousand Rat had caught up with these two first.

They took out two flying sword spiritual artifacts and several spirit talismans, and seeing the eight people, fought desperately to break through!

Yet, now their resistance seemed particularly weak, especially as Ye Xingliu attacked, slashing with a Tier Two magical sword and beheading one of them.

The remaining one was covered in an ice rain by the Red Crowned Snow Eagle and ultimately poisoned by the red needle-like hair of the Red Thousand Rat.

Even with other recovery talismans, he was cut down by Ye Xingliu.

The entire process of slaying them was seamless, taking less than five breaths.

The Ye Family had no intention of training their juniors; now facing the puppets of an evil cultivator, if any escaped and alerted the true evil cultivator, the consequences would be disastrous.

On the contrary, after the thunderous kill, Ye Xingliu collected the two storage bags, and the Red Thousand Rat burrowed into the necks of the two cultivators again, cheering excitedly, though there was a hint of trepidation in its cry.

As the Red Thousand Rat squeaked again and looked in a certain direction, Ye Haiyi used the fireball skill to burn the two corpses cleanly.

The Spiritual Ship took off once more, but this time, it didn’t transform into a giant ship but became a cramped little boat, gradually moving through the low hills, progressing slowly into the Taihang Mountain Range.

Everyone’s expressions were more serious, and Xu Xiuqing’s eyes were full of worry.

Her father had also been afflicted with this blood curse, and if he had already become like those two, she dared not imagine the consequences…

The Spiritual Ship soon arrived at a picturesque lakeside.

The Red Thousand Rat stopped squeaking and became exceptionally quiet, while everyone had already put away the Spiritual Ship long ago, dividing into two teams of four.

They advanced steadily toward the lake, and Ye Xingliu continued to take out an array to set it up.

The lake was very quiet, and the mountains around it were the same.

A gentle breeze stirred layer upon layer of ripples on the lake’s surface.

Ye Xingliu’s hand released eighty-one array banners aimed at the lake surface.

But before the spirit banners could land, several blood shadows rushed out, attacking the array banners.

Several of the array banners were shattered on the spot, and the array failed!

In the sky, the Red Crowned Snow Eagle flew out again, releasing numerous snow-white feathers that transformed into countless ice crystals, freezing towards the lake!

Meanwhile, Ye Xingliu and the others—Ye Haiyi, Ye Xinghe, and Ye Xingyu—positioned themselves in four directions, attacking the cultivator in the lake with their artifacts.

Flying swords danced, and various spirit talismans rampaged; Ye Xinghe and Ye Xingyu even summoned the Blood Patterned Leopard and Ye Haiyi’s Red Thousand Rat again.

Even Ye Jingyu and Ye Jingyong released their own Flying Cloud Leopards.

The two Flying Cloud Leopards had grown well; they were now extremely robust, no less than the Crimson Flame Fox, though their spiritual energy aura was much less, not even reaching the peak of mid-stage first tier, more like the level of Qi Cultivation Fifth Layer.

Ye Jingcheng also summoned the Crimson Flame Fox.

The Crimson Flame Fox immediately released four gigantic fireballs, blasting at a blood shadow cultivator on the lake!

Under this series of attacks, the entire lake began to churn with waves.

One cultivator was instantly slain by Ye Xingliu, while another was shredded by the Red Crowned Snow Eagle, and yet another was completely obliterated by the blazing fireballs binding him with an array of artifacts.

From the lake bottom, a spiritual light started appearing, as if trying to escape using the Earth Escape Skill!

However, the next moment, a Tier Two Earthquake Talisman fiercely struck the ground!

In an instant, the earth shook and rumbled.

A figure burst out from the ground.

The figure wore a blood robe, revealing only a pair of eyes, sinister and bloodthirsty:

“Fellow Daoist, we have no grievances, must we fight to the death?” The Blood Cultivator’s voice was ominous and piercing.

Yet, no one answered.

They had already encircled him, and any conversation could delay the battle; they currently had the upper hand in the siege and couldn’t afford to make basic errors.

Ye Xingliu once again slashed with his flying sword, while the spirit snake on his body reappeared, transforming into a cyan armor to attack left and right.

This sword strike landed on a crimson small shield, producing a clanging sound with countless sparks of spiritual aura.

The Tier Two flying sword left no mark, indicating the small shield was also a Tier Two defense spiritual artifact and quite remarkable, which Ye Xingliu found particularly troublesome.

Ye Xinghe, Ye Haiyi, and Ye Xingyu also engaged to contain the blood cultivator.

The blood cultivator also brought out a crimson small shield, a blood saber spiritual artifact, and three blood-colored flying needle spiritual artifacts.

These artifacts were all Tier Two; the blood saber’s swings were grand, with dazzling blade light, while the three blood-colored flying needles hovered around the blood cultivator.

If Ye Xingliu still had the Black Flood Dragon Clamp, it would be easy, but now it seemed somewhat challenging.

Every time the blood cultivator swung the blood saber, it carried a terrifying might.

At this moment, Ye Jingcheng’s Crimson Flame Fox seized the opportunity to suddenly release a massive Fireball Technique, the size of a millstone, burning with terrifying crimson flames, slamming down!

The blood cultivator had to defend, and everyone couldn’t help but glance at Ye Jingcheng, not expecting the Crimson Flame Fox to be so formidable.

Especially Ye Jingyu and Ye Jingyong, who looked at their Flying Cloud Leopards; the difference was too great!

However, despite their glances, no one was distracted. Ye Jingyu also wielded the Wind Banner, causing the enormous fireball to burn even more fiercely under the strong wind!

The combination of wind and fire was once again evident.

The terrifying fireball blasted the blood shield away several feet, while Ye Xingliu and the other Ye family members used various artifacts against the blood cultivator.

Yet, much of it was cut down by the blood cultivator’s blood saber spiritual artifact.

The remaining assault was intercepted by the three blood needle artifacts.

At this moment, on the ground, a lizard suddenly turned from transparent to solid!

The next moment, countless earth spikes shot out, along with a gigantic long tongue transformed like a spear, stabbing toward the blood cultivator!

This sequence of attacks was tightly orchestrated.

The blood cultivator’s face turned grim, but he unleashed two spirit talismans, transforming into a golden spiritual shield!

Boom!

The spiritual shield did not shatter; instead, the earth spikes and the long tongue failed to have any effect.

“Tier Two Golden Bell Shield Talisman!” exclaimed the Ye Family, surprised.

The blood cultivator’s tactics were beyond everyone’s expectations.

Then, Ye Jingcheng suddenly noticed his Jade Ring Rat next to him, filled with fear as if sensing an impending danger.

At that moment, Ye Jingcheng suddenly looked toward the bottom of the lake.

“Something’s wrong, First Uncle, Third Uncle, he’s stalling for time; there might be more people below!!”
