Beast Taming Clan: I Have a Jade Book

Chapter 17: Chapter 17: Red Fox Alchemy

Just as Ye Xinghe entered the backyard, a number of cultivators arrived at the shop.

They clamored to buy Spirit Pills, willing to purchase as much as was available.

This scene made Ye Xinghe even angrier, yet he couldn’t erupt at this moment, as among the cultivators, there were both shills and genuine customers.

The other three families had set traps at an opportune moment; with the Taiyi Sect’s conscription, the Ye Family’s main alchemy and artifact refining masters were all summoned.

The remaining cultivators lacked proficiency!

Now they were being stalled in the Earth Fire Rooms, indefinitely slowing the refining process.

This was almost a deadlock unless the Mo Family within the Purple Mansion Clan was willing to step in.

But judging from the Xu Family’s behavior, the Mo Family wouldn’t dare to offend the Xu Family!

“Jinghao, go out and tell your Thirteenth Aunt that all Spirit Pills involving contracts are to be rationed. Additionally, during this period, I will continue to send messages to the clan and purchase from other families at a premium!” Ye Xinghe began giving out instructions one by one.

It had come to this, and he could only brace himself to handle the situation properly.

“Jing Yun, Jingcheng, Jingli, I know someone in the Mo Family who can provide an Earth Fire Room. The three of you can take turns doing your best with the refining!” Ye Xinghe instructed.

The month’s time was tight, and his main reliance was still on Ye Xingyu, so he left a room for him alone!

The remaining room naturally could only be used by the three of them in turns.

If they couldn’t produce anything, he wouldn’t blame them; among them, only Ye Jingli was twenty-five, originally meant as backup.

“As for the rest, I’ll continue to negotiate with the Mo Family!”

“Uncle, let Jingli and Jing Yun take turns using it. I might not need the Earth Fire Room,” Ye Jingcheng suddenly suggested at this moment.

Ye Xinghe’s expression hadn’t softened yet, but he wouldn’t dampen his juniors’ spirits, so he only looked at Ye Jingcheng with curiosity.

“Uncle, my Spirit Beast is the Red Flame Fox, it can breathe fire, and I’ve already tested it in the clan!” Ye Jingcheng said.

Then he released the Red Flame Fox. Instantly, a red flame-like, wolf-like handsome Red Flame Fox appeared in the courtyard.

Its fur was exceptionally sleek, flickering with spiritual light.

On its forehead was a faint spirit pattern.

With Ye Jingcheng’s wave, the Red Flame Fox opened its mouth, and a terrifying high-temperature flame burst forth, dramatically increasing the room’s temperature!

This scene naturally left Ye Xinghe astonished!

Even Ye Jingli beside him was speechless, having often thought of showing Ye Jingcheng his Cyan-Scaled Snake!

After all, his Cyan-Scaled Snake was indeed large and thick!

But now, compared to Ye Jingcheng’s Red Flame Fox, his Cyan-Scaled Snake paled in comparison.

It seemed like a mere toy; to think that he had chosen before Ye Jingcheng back then.

Now he slightly regretted it.

“Uncle, this is a severely injured Red Flame Fox, thought to be beyond saving, so the clan redeemed it to me. But unexpectedly, it persevered and recovered from its severe injuries, growing rapidly!” Ye Jingcheng explained hastily upon seeing Ye Xinghe’s expression.

This time he wasn’t being reckless; this trial was necessary, as he was here to do alchemy, he didn’t want to go to any Earth Fire Room; he could freely refine Pills with fire and pill furnace already in hand.

When he became accustomed to the market, he planned to buy the Spirit Medicine from the Ancient Book’s Pill Formula, to refine the pill that would allow the Red Flame Fox to grow a second tail.

Exposing it eventually would be inevitable, and now was a just the right opportunity.

“Good, good, good. Jingcheng, you’re truly someone the Jing Generation can rely on; I’ll leave the tasks to you then. Tell me whatever Spirit Medicine you need!” Ye Xinghe said, uttering ’good’ thrice.

Ye Jingcheng not needing the Earth Fire Room meant there were effectively three Earth Fire Rooms available to the Ye Family, not quite four, but much better than expected.

If they could complete this task, the ones put in a bind would not be the Ye Family, but the other three Foundation Establishment clans, who would have wasted their time purchasing the Ye Family’s pills only to end up with stocked inventory.

“These are Pill Formula Jade Talismans, one for each of you two!” Ye Xinghe took out jade talismans giving one each to Ye Jingyun and Ye Jingcheng!

Then hurriedly led Ye Jingyun and Ye Jingli towards the Mo Family Earth Fire Room within the market!

In this market, all the Earth Fire Rooms belonged to the two large Purple Mansion Clans; other cultivators wishing to do alchemy and artifact refining had to spend money.

And needed to book in advance.

“Jingcheng, here are the Spirit Medicines along with an array disc for disturbance prevention!” Ye Xinghong handed Ye Jingcheng a storage bag.

“Thank you, Thirteenth Aunt!” Ye Jingcheng nodded repeatedly.

“Additionally, if there’s any Spirit Medicine you need, you can carve it into a jade talisman for me. I’ll arrange purchases or coordinate with the clan!” Ye Xinghong said.

Ye Jingcheng knowingly nodded; this was precisely the effect he wanted.

Receiving the Spirit Medicines, Ye Jingcheng started examining the jade talisman.

He hadn’t tried using the Red Flame Fox for alchemy before, but he felt it might outperform Earth Fire in pill refining.

He and the Red Flame Fox were of one mind; controlling the temperature could be as precise as desired without his management.

He just needed to handle the pill furnace and the spirit patterns.

Over the past year, the Red Flame Fox’s greatest progress wasn’t merely in its physical form!

Ye Jingcheng took out the array disc and walked into the room.

He first started with refining Qi Blood Pills, which had a single effect — nourishing blood. If a cultivator was injured in magical combat and lost excessive blood, taking this pill could swiftly restore them.

The difficulty level of Qi Blood Pill refining was not high. Given his current level of being able to refine successfully in three out of five furnaces of Cyan Spirit Pills, he was quite confident in refining Qi Blood Pills.

Back in the room, Ye Jingcheng took out a new jade talisman and began analyzing, deducing, and studying the pill formula carefully!

At times, his knowledge might not yield results from his research, but it was enough to make his impressions deeper.

While refining, if any issues arose, he could locate the mistake at once, which was sufficient.

After spending half a day, Ye Jingcheng took out the array disc to begin setting it up within the room.

This array disc was a simple Spirit Separation Array disc.

It could block sound and Divine Sense.

Moreover, it was very simple to operate.

Before long, it was set up, revealing a faint layer of spiritual light covering the room’s edges, wondrously magical.

Ye Jingcheng released the Red Flame Fox once again and took out the Three-Eared Pill Furnace Ye Jingli had exchanged for him.

He began wiping it repeatedly, this time even using the spring water obtained in the Taihang Mountain Range.

After all, this was his first pill furnace.

Through repeated wiping, a faint layer of spiritual light emerged on the pill furnace, looking radiant and new as ever. Were it not for the damaged ear affecting its appearance, it could definitely sell for a better price!

“Screech!” As per Ye Jingcheng’s gesture, the Red Flame Fox growled softly, exhaling a crimson flame onto the pill furnace.

The pill furnace gradually heated to a glowing red!
