Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Beitang Yao even felt somewhat delusional, as he could actually see the shadows of his mom reflected in the person in front of him.

His brow furrowed, unable to calm the excitement in his heart, he reached out, pulling her into his embrace, resting his head on top of hers, inhaling the scent of her hair, simply holding her without doing anything else.

Xia Qingqian felt stiff and slightly sore, so she moved a little, reaching out to pat his back gently, and asked softly, ”Young Master, what’s wrong?”

Did she say something wrong? Her heart was full of uncertainty, unsure if her previous words had upset him.

”Don’t move, let me hold you a little longer.” He cherished this quiet moment; even if they weren’t doing anything, he felt content.

”Young Master...” After a while, she couldn’t hold it anymore, and said in his arms, ”My body is feeling sore...”

Upon hearing her say this, he also noticed her stiffness and released her, letting her lean against the sofa while he stood up, leaving the couch.

The moment Beitang Yao turned his face away, Xia Qingqian clearly saw the Young Master looking sad, as if he was recalling something...

Has the Young Master encountered something sorrowful?

How should she comfort him?

She reached out to touch and ease her stiff parts, and after recovering, she got up, limping behind Beitang Yao, and hugged him from behind, saying softly, ”Young Master Yao, if there’s something sad in your heart, please don’t keep it bottled up, okay?”

Those sad memories, when suppressed for too long, turn into an invisible blade, perpetually hurting oneself...

She really didn’t want to see the Young Master in such pain.

”Do you understand what I am thinking?” He lowered his eyes, looking at the hands wrapped around his waist, speaking softly.

”Mm-hmm!” Her face pressed against his back, nodding hard, she inhaled and said, ”Young Master, if the lady saw you like this, she wouldn’t be at ease. You mustn’t dwell on the past. No matter how sad you are, the lady won’t come back to you. What she hopes to see is a carefree Young Master, not one full of concerns and only remembering resentment.”

”Young Master, this way, even if the lady sees you, she won’t be comfortable... Didn’t you once comfort me, telling me to forget the past and look towards the future? Although I don’t know what my future holds, I think your words are very philosophical, and I want to follow them and live well. This is what those who’ve passed would want to see, isn’t it?”

Upon hearing this, Beitang Yao took a deep breath. Had he said those words? He couldn’t remember at all.

”Young Master Yao, don’t let the past bind everything about you, okay? No matter what happens in the future, I’ll be there to support you!” she said softly, unsure if her words would ever come to fruition, but as long as the Young Master needed her, she would remain by his side, accompanying him.

Until he grew weary, until the moment their contract ended...

”Qian Qian, do you really understand my feelings?” How could she comprehend? For ten years, he’d been alone, never experiencing a trace of warmth.

But in Xia Qingqian, although he didn’t want to admit it, he couldn’t deny that she had affected him greatly.
