Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”China and France!” She blurted out without thinking, not noticing his unusual expression.

China is her homeland, of course she loves it! She loves French culture and the maple leaves of France!

”In the future, we’ll buy an island in both countries, and I’ll design a castle for you.” Beitang Yao whispered, biting her slightly cool earlobe.

Xia Qingqian was stunned and furrowed her brow, asking, ”In the future? Us?”

Would there really be a future for them?

When Beitang Yao spoke those words, her heart trembled a little.

”Is there a problem?” Beitang Yao sensed her unusual reaction too and turned her body towards him. ”You can tell me anything you like, and I’ll make it happen for you.”

Xia Qingqian shook her head, looked up at him, and said, ”Young Master, I don’t need anything, everything is great right now. Being by your side, I’m already content.”

”Young Master, may I find some time to visit the castle?”

”Of course, you can. I’ll have Huan accompany you for the visit then.” He brushed away the stray hair from her forehead, ”What do you want? I’ll have the cook make some food for you.”

Through Beitang Yao’s introduction, Xia Qingqian learned that the kitchen had chefs from ten different countries, including Chinese chefs, each with a six-star level of expertise!

Xia Qingqian chuckled, ”Then I’ll have some rice porridge, is that okay? I’m not feeling well right now, just want to eat something light.”

Beitang Yao nodded, walked over to a computer without hesitation, tapped a few times on the screen with his slender fingers, then returned to her side and said, ”I’ve also ordered you a glass of lemon water.”

”Did you only order my share? Don’t you need to eat something too?” Xia Qingqian was a bit worried about Beitang Yao’s health, how could he not eat anything?

”I’m not hungry. There are cookies and stuff here, you can eat first, and I’ll watch some documents and attend a remote meeting on the side.” Beitang Yao said as he pressed her onto the sofa, fetching a red square box, ”These are imported cookies, quite popular abroad.”

Xia Qingqian held the box of cookies. She actually wanted to say she’s not very hungry, but he remained by her side, seemingly waiting for her to eat the cookies before attending to his own matters.

She just opened the lid, picked a piece, and took a small bite, then praised, ”Hmm! It really is quite good!”

Her eyes lit up, nodding repeatedly, ”I’ve never had such delicious cookies before, Young Master, would you like to try one too!”

”Sure!” Beitang Yao said, leaning down to take a bite of the cookie she had bitten, ”If you like it, eat more. I’ll go to work now.”

He chewed the cookie slowly, the corner of his mouth slightly raised, and leisurely walked to the desk, taking a sip of coffee.

Xia Qingqian froze; Beitang Yao had just eaten the cookie she bit. By the time she recovered, he was already engrossed in reviewing the documents.

She secretly watched Beitang Yao, who was seriously reviewing the documents, then glanced back at the remaining half of the cookie, her mood suddenly improved. Her face turned red with shyness, and she secretly ate the rest of the cookie.

Did this count as indirectly kissing him?

While sitting at the desk, Beitang Yao was pretending to be thoroughly engaged in the documents, his heartbeat quickening! He sneaked a glance at Xia Qingqian, noticing her slightly flushed cheeks and the way she ate the cookie, everything was captured by him.

The corners of his mouth also curled into a subtle, charming arc.
