Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

She is a sentimental person; once she touches upon sadness, she cannot help but feel heartbroken and anxious.

”No problem, let’s get up. But if you still want to snuggle in bed with me, I can accompany you.” Beitang Yao propped his head with one hand, staring at her unblinkingly, his mouth curving into a charming smile.

Upon hearing this, she hurriedly got up, wrapped her body in a sheet, and went to the wardrobe to find clothes. After taking a bath in the bathroom, she felt much fresher, though her whole body seemed to be falling apart.

”I’ve prepared the bath for you, you should go in and wash up.” Xia Qingqian approached him, her cheeks still tinged with a bit of redness, and handed him a clean towel.

Seeing her blushing cheeks, he felt overjoyed, and instead of taking the towel from her hand, he pulled her into his arms with one swoop, bending down to kiss her tender lips fervently and dominantly.

She was truly afraid he’d get carried away again, promptly pushing him away and glaring at him angrily saying, ”Young Master!”

”Are you so afraid of me?” Her guarded appearance seemed as if he would devour her whole. And she wasn’t wrong, he had indeed devoured her clean these past days. Though he still wanted more, he knew the potential harm of doing too much.

”Weren’t you going to take me to see grandpa last night? Go shower already.” She pushed him; she had been bound by him in this castle all these days, never going anywhere else.

She couldn’t tell what other people thought of her, with Beitang Yao entangled with her here, she didn’t know how long it had been. He hadn’t sat with his family for a meal or a chat either.

Moreover, she hadn’t seen Beitang Huan for a while, didn’t know how she was doing now. Was her neck better yet?

These peaceful days would only last for a few more days; whatever happens next, who knew if Xia Qingqian could handle it!

Beitang Yao stood by observing Xia Qingqian and grandpa having such a harmonious conversation, inexplicably falling into thoughts.

”Yao.” The old master called out to Beitang Yao leaning nearby, noticing his lack of response, shook his head. Planning to get up and call him, Xia Qingqian beat him to it, stepping forward to Beitang Yao’s side, nudging him.

The old master’s smile widened.

”Young Master, grandpa is calling you.” Xia Qingqian tugged at his clothes, ”Young Master?”

Beitang Yao was never absent-minded before, but now just by watching them chat, he drifted off, truly unlike his usual self.

He hurriedly cleared his throat a few times, regaining his composure, saying huskily, ”I see you and grandpa are having a good conversation, I have nothing to add, you both continue chatting.”

”Yao, come over to grandpa’s side.” The old master motioned Beitang Yao over.

Beitang Yao walked over, Xia Qingqian followed, sitting down beside him.

”Grandpa, what would you like to talk to me about?” Beitang Yao knew grandpa must have something to say to him.

Indeed, the old master cast a deep glance at Beitang Yao, then sighed lightly, saying, ”Yao, regarding the matter with Gu Ziqian, are you truly going to proceed this way?”

”Grandpa, I won’t marry a woman I don’t love as my wife.” Beitang Yao said with a stern face, his eyes as serious as the night.

”This is the marriage your mother arranged for you, do you intend to defy your mother’s wishes?” While speaking, the old master didn’t forget to glance at Xia Qingqian. Although he currently had a liking for the girl Yao brought back, was this truly the life Yao desired?
