Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

From Xia Qingqian’s conversation, it could be seen that she was indeed a good girl, but he was really not sure if she was the woman Yao had mentioned?

”Grandpa, although I love my mom very much, if it concerns my happiness, no matter if it’s your arrangement or mom’s decision, as long as I don’t like it, no one can control my thoughts.” After Beitang Yao finished speaking, he reached out and pulled the stunned Xia Qingqian into his embrace, unreservedly declaring in front of his grandfather, ”This is who I like.”

Old Master Beitang looked at Beitang Yao, nodding continuously, and after pondering for a moment, he said, ”Yao, as long as you feel it’s right, just go for it. Grandpa is old and doesn’t have the energy to nag you, but the premise is, you must be happy, understand? Don’t just casually find a temporary actor to fool grandpa for the sake of avoiding the marriage contract with Gu Ziqian, understand?”

”Grandpa, how could I fool you? Now that mom is gone, you are my only family, and also the person I care about the most.” He spoke slowly, pausing before he continued, ”You see, now I have one more person to care about.”

As he spoke, his gaze fell on Xia Qingqian, and the soft tenderness in his starry eyes was even gentler than the sunlight outside.

Even Xia Qingqian was stunned; she looked up, staring blankly at him, meeting his eyes. Seeing his gaze, a warm current surged through her heart, and even she didn’t know that because of his words, she had endured so much here.

Just because of his words, she didn’t want to hurt his family.

”Yao, you’ve been out there for so long, are you still mad at your dad? How can a father and son hold a grudge overnight?” Old Master Beitang shook his head and sighed lightly.

”Grandpa, how mom died, I think you know the inside story. He is so cold and unfeeling, unworthy of being my father! This lifetime, I will never forgive him. If he didn’t like mom, why did he marry her? Was it just because he didn’t dare to defy your orders?” Beitang Yao held Xia Qingqian’s hand, slightly tightening it, ”Grandpa, here, I almost feel no warmth at all, so don’t blame me for ruthlessly taking over all the Beitang Group’s authority.”

”In this world, the strong always prevail, and what I’m doing is trying to help mom regain everything that belongs to her! The Beitang Family was originally just an empty shell with nothing but a name. If not for you arranging the marriage between father and mom, would the Beitang Family have today’s achievements? To put it bluntly, it only developed because it relied on mom’s family’s influence.”

”Not only did he not cherish his relationship with mom, he also kept a bunch of women outside. Tell me, is your son a responsible husband and father? Hmph, I don’t have a father like that.”

Beitang Yao didn’t want to bring up the past at all. The day mom left, father never showed up from beginning to end. Even a hundred days after mom’s departure, he only appeared to make him hand over 58% of Beitang Group’s shares.

That was what truly crossed his bottom line!

Those 58% shares were what mom left for him. How could his father make him hand them over?

If father was unrighteous, then don’t blame him for being disloyal!

Before mom left, she kept holding his hand tightly, constantly calling out that man’s name, but that man never showed up from beginning to end. Is this the act of a husband?

At that time, deep in his heart, he truly hated one person! And that person was his own father!
