Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Xia Qingqian! Are you looking to die?!” His hands clenched slightly, his face looked absolutely terrible, dark and stormy, enough to scare anyone who saw him!

”I-I didn’t...” She retreated until her back hit the wall, looking at him in panic. She couldn’t understand why Beitang Yao would get so furious over a child!

”Mr. Beitang, my darling was just joking, don’t make things hard for Qing Qian.” The rich madam glanced at the gift box on the floor and only then realized she really shouldn’t have come like this; at the very least, she should’ve waited until Beitang Yao wasn’t home.

She had come over to chat idly with Xia Qingqian, and by the way recommend Shen Youran to her. The rich madam studied Xia Qingqian carefully, and only then was she shocked to find that Xia Qingqian’s eyes looked very much like a certain someone’s. She seemed to have seen them somewhere?

A flash of white light suddenly shot through the rich madam’s mind, and she finally remembered Shen Youran. The eyes of those two, especially that faint reddish tint at the tail of their brows, were so alike. Both had beautiful, diamond-like big eyes, but Xia Qingqian’s looked clearer and more limpid.

”We have to get back to the company, make yourselves at home.” Beitang Yao grabbed Xia Qingqian’s hand and left. As he passed by the rich madam, he said coldly, ”Don’t ever let me see that little brat again!”

As Xia Qingqian passed by the rich madam, she kept apologizing over and over, her eyes full of guilt.

After Beitang Yao shoved her into the car, he walked around the front of the car and got in as well. Face dark, he snorted, ”Xia Qingqian, how come I never knew you had the Bewitching Technique to seduce little kids too?”

Her face went pale and ashen. Hearing Beitang Yao say that about her made her feel awful inside; her mood sank like a stone. She didn’t reply, just turned her face away to look out the window.

She knew it—once the relationship between them eased up even a little, it was bound not to last long.

”Yao, from now on, in front of outsiders, I’ll call you President and Young Master like the others do. It really isn’t appropriate for me to call you that.” It really wasn’t appropriate, and it felt especially awkward for her to say it. She had no idea what was wrong with Beitang Yao that he would even say those things to her.

Beitang Yao’s hands tightened slightly on the steering wheel. Through the rearview mirror, he glared angrily at Xia Qingqian. ”Xia Qingqian, you dare talk to me like that?”

”No, listen to me first. There’s no need for our relationship to develop into something this intimate. I don’t want others to misunderstand either. I really don’t measure up to you, and I’m not worthy of calling you that. Really, Young Master!” Her voice suddenly turned a few shades harder. ”Young Master, just like Miss Huan said—no matter how good you are to me, I’m just a plaything, someone you can order around as you please, that’s all.”

Besides, she never dared to covet the Young Master’s love. She simply couldn’t afford it, and didn’t dare want it. She was only suited to enjoy his warmth for a moment in time, but she must never sink too deep, nor should she believe in it, understand?

”Xia Qingqian, I order you to take back everything you just said, and don’t you ever say that crap in front of me again!” His eyes narrowed halfway, his gaze growing even more sinister and vicious! It had never occurred to him that this damn little woman would actually talk to him so righteously!

Xia Qingqian smiled faintly, looking as if she weren’t afraid of death, insisting on saying it anyway: ”Young Master, do you really think it’s good for us to go on like this? As long as you don’t force me to do certain things, I’ll naturally carry out the terms of the contract properly, until the day I leave.”
