Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Yao!” Her face heated up, and she quickly corrected herself. It wasn’t entirely her fault; she had always called him Young Master before, and who knew last night he wanted her to call him by his name?

After correcting herself, she hastily fled with her head down, and when she reached the doorway, she bumped into the doorframe. With a muffled cry of pain, she felt utterly embarrassed, covered her forehead, and disappeared from Beitang Yao’s sight while grimacing in pain.

Being seen like this by him, she felt a slight surge of impatience in her heart.

Beitang Yao watched her not looking where she was going and bumping into the door; he was in a great mood. His laughter wasn’t adding insult to injury or reveling in her misfortune, but rather laughing at how truly silly and foolish she was. How could she bump into such a big door?

The loud thud must have hurt that silly girl to death. He figured, with her timid nature, she would definitely bear the pain without seeking any medicine. Just like when she knew her body wasn’t doing well but let him have his way; since she didn’t oppose, he wouldn’t hold back and suffer.

Haha, what a silly girl, such a silly girl, he had no reason not to like her, right?

Beitang Yao went to find a tube of ointment, placed it on the desk, and after finishing the last few documents, she had also prepared breakfast. When he went down, she came out of the kitchen carrying a small pot of porridge.

His gaze fell on her forehead; indeed, he saw a large patch of redness and a small bump swelling up. It was so striking that it made his heart ache inexplicably.

Beitang Yao darted over, and Xia Qingqian noticed him, smiling on her face, ”Yao, you’re down. Breakfast is ready.”

He walked over, took her hand, and kissed it before his lips, while his other hand gently touched her swollen forehead, shaking his head with a light sigh, ”Walking with your eyes open, are they there just for show?” He was somewhat angry; she was truly a worry.

”Yao, I’m fine. I’ll go in and bring out the dishes.” Hearing his soft sigh, she felt inexplicably nervous, always suspecting it was her imagination that Young Master would perform such gentle acts for her.

”Silly girl, don’t move. It’s so red, how can you not apply some medicine?” With a tube of ointment in hand, he pressed her shoulders down to sit in a chair, and Xia Qingqian watched in a daze as he unscrewed the cap, squeezed out some ointment on his fingertip, and gently rubbed it on her forehead.

When the cool ointment touched the skin, a slight sting spread across her forehead, making her nose tingle and her eyes become a bit red. She couldn’t stand such gentle care; it was still Beitang Yao after all.

His gaze shifted to the mark on her finger, and his heart inexplicably trembled; he had to seek justice for her regarding this mark. If not now, he would find an opportunity later to help her get justice from Gu Ziqian.

”Xia Qingqian, how can you be so silly? Silly enough to not even know how to fight back when hit, silly enough to bump your own forehead into the doorframe, does the doorframe hold a grudge against you?” He lightly flicked her head, ”If you damage my things, you can’t afford to compensate.” This door was made of top-quality sandalwood and high technology; even selling her wouldn’t be worth as much.
