Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

She was only wearing a pair of blue-green casual pants and a simple goose-yellow knitted shirt, with her smooth long hair freshly pinned at the back. She looked incredibly beautiful. What he was enchanted by was this pure and clean appearance of hers; she was like a snow lotus blooming on a snowy mountain—so pure and flawless, making her untouchable.

He walked over and embraced her from behind, kissing the delicate fragrance of her hair as he whispered: ”What are you making for a late-night snack?”

Xia Qingqian didn’t expect Beitang Yao to come into the kitchen like this and hold her. She was somewhat startled by him, her body trembled, and the spoon in her hand almost fell. Fortunately, Beitang Yao reacted quickly and caught the spoon for her.

”Whew!” She sighed in relief, softened her stance, and then said: ”Young Master, Housekeeper Ye said you haven’t eaten anything yet. And since Maria and Uncle Quan are not at home, I took the liberty to make you some millet porridge...”

She really took the liberty. When she once went to see her father, she got up early and made him a sumptuous breakfast table. But she was criticized by him; he forbade her from touching his kitchen.

”Since when have you been so familiar with Ye Feng to call him by his name?” He said with a cold face, his hands tightened a bit, his voice filled with displeasure and a thick sense of jealousy. After all, she called him ’Young Master’! Calling him ’Young Master’ was really such a distant and piercing term!

”Just call him Housekeeper Ye, no need to call other men by their names.” That’s how domineering he was; his things, his people, he wants to control and care.

”Young Master, let go of me first, the millet porridge will be ready soon. You go out and sit for a bit; there’s a lot of smoke and grease here, it might get your clothes dirty.” She broke free, turned around to look at him, furrowing her little brows as she spoke.

Beitang Yao watched her busying herself for him, and his heart was filled with warmth.

He didn’t leave; he stood there by the door, arms crossed, watching her with a faint smile.

Xia Qingqian felt a bit uneasy being watched like that; his deep gaze made her face slightly flush. She quickly turned around, not daring to look at him any longer, fearing she might indeed be distracted while working.

Before long, Xia Qingqian turned off the stove and ladled the cooked millet porridge into an earthenware pot, took a bowl, and carried it to the dining room table, gently saying: ”Young Master, you can have the porridge now.” As she said this, she had already served a steaming, fragrant bowl of millet porridge on the table.

He walked over, sat on the chair, and enjoyed her service.

He also pulled her to sit on his lap, teasingly said: ”Do you want to feed me?”

Xia Qingqian was indeed startled! Such behavior from Young Master was really baffling; is this something the aloof and arrogant Young Master would say or do?

”Will you feed me or not?” He gave her a kiss.

She quickly jumped up: ”Young Master, I have grease on my face!” Young Master is someone who’s a clean freak, how could he do such a thing?

What did he say? She actually cared about this. She indeed didn’t need to be so concerned. He chuckled and pulled her back onto his lap, then shifted his gaze to the table where there was only one set of utensils, feeling a bit reluctant about her going hungry too, and asked: ”Are you planning for us to share one set of utensils? Seems I really underestimated you, but it’s okay, we can share it together.”

”Young Master, I’m not hungry. I had a meal at the airport; this is made for you to eat.” She hoped he’d appreciate it and not waste her intentions.
