Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

During this time, Ye Feng received a phone call. He glanced at Xia Qingqian before answering: ”Young Master, Miss Xia is fine, I’ve found her.”

”Bring her back to see me right away,” Beitang Yao’s deep, urgent voice, tinged with a hint of excitement, came through.

”Young Master, we’re already on our way back, we’ll be there soon,” Ye Feng said into the phone.

After hanging up, Ye Feng looked at Xia Qingqian sitting in the back seat through the rearview mirror and said softly, ”Miss Xia, it was the Young Master’s call. We’ll see him soon.”

Xia Qingqian was still restless; the thought of soon seeing Beitang Yao filled her heart with joy, an overwhelming sensation that she couldn’t withstand, the impact was too immense.

She felt like a discarded toy that, after being thrown away, was back in the owner’s arms again; the feeling was complex.

”Oh, oh.” She responded faintly and after a long pause, asked, ”Housekeeper Ye, I’m sorry for worrying you all.”

Ye Feng smiled, driving carefully, ”Miss Xia, it’s truly fortune amidst misfortune that you’re alive, you didn’t wrong us; rather, it was my fault, having booked you on that flight.”

”Housekeeper Ye, I didn’t deliberately avoid boarding the plane; I was delayed slightly before takeoff, so I didn’t return to the plane,” Xia Qingqian said, clutching at her dress, her hands unconsciously closing together.

”By the way, Miss Xia, where did you go in those three minutes before takeoff? I saw you board the plane with my own eyes, but how did you end up not on the plane?” Only now did he have time to inquire about Xia Qingqian’s situation; what had happened was so terrifying that he hadn’t gathered his thoughts yet.

Xia Qingqian glanced at Ye Feng and then her gaze fell outside the window, watching the scenery retreat; she suddenly became uneasy. Should she tell Ye Feng she met Ye Chenfeng before the plane took off?

”Miss Xia, what’s troubling you?” Ye Feng looked at the rearview mirror, just catching Xia Qingqian staring pensively outside.

Xia Qingqian flinched, blinked her eyes lightly, and after regaining her composure, replied, ”Housekeeper Ye, I initially boarded the plane, but three minutes before takeoff, a man insisted I disembark to clarify some matters with him, so I did.” She never imagined the plane she boarded would have an accident.

It was too shocking! If she had been on board, she might have been among the injured or worse.

”Miss Xia, luckily you didn’t board the plane; if something happened to you, the Young Master wouldn’t know what to do,” Ye Feng said, breathing a sigh of relief as he watched her through the mirror, ”You must have plenty to say to the Young Master.”

Ye Feng’s gaze returned to the front, silently sighing in his heart that the relationship between the Young Master and Miss Xia was indeed difficult to comprehend, not something others could easily see through.

As the Young Master said, the matter between him and Xia Qingqian doesn’t require others to intervene! He doesn’t have the qualifications to interfere.

Ye Feng parked the car, got out, and walked over to Xia Qingqian’s door to open it for her, ”Miss Xia, the Young Master is waiting for you in the living room.”

Xia Qingqian stepped out awkwardly, taking a moment before following Ye Feng back into the place.

She gazed dazedly at the slowly opening door, feeling her breath hitch, incessantly trying to breathe in air.
