Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

Xia Qingqian was at a loss for words, and she looked at Beitang Yao with a gentle gaze, then pursed her lips and lowered her head to sip on her milk.

”Ye Feng is already making the arrangements, Uncle Quan will return to the country with us.” He couldn’t help but speak out when he saw her looking so aggrieved.

Xia Qingqian’s eyes lit up, and she looked up at him incredulously, asking, ”Really?”

”Mhm.” He nodded lightly.

Only when she received his final answer did she softly exhale a sigh of relief.

At that moment, the doorbell rang, and Xia Qingqian glanced at Beitang Yao before saying, ”I’ll go get the door.” Seeing Beitang Yao nod in agreement, she left her chair and walked to the intercom, where cheerful voices immediately came through, both a woman’s voice and a childish one.

Without thinking much, she pressed the unlock button, and the door automatically opened. When a woman and a child appeared in front of her, Beitang Yao had finished his breakfast and walked over. Seeing the unexpected guests, he furrowed his brows and asked Xia Qingqian, ”Those two are here for you again?”

Xia Qingqian’s face was extremely awkward; she really didn’t understand why the usually noble Young Master always got so worked up when seeing Mario. Was he unhappy that Mario came to see her?

The lady, seeing Beitang Yao’s seemingly displeased expression, nodded and smiled at him, then handed a gift box to Xia Qingqian, softly saying, ”Qing Qian, thank you for taking care of Mario. I heard you’re going back to the country today, so Mario and I picked these gifts for you as a memento.”

”Sister, when will you come back to see Mario?” Mario broke away from the lady’s side and ran straight to Xia Qianqian, clutching one of her legs and choking up, ”Sister, wait for me to grow up; I will definitely marry you!”

Beitang Yao’s face went dark upon hearing this. He stepped forward and pulled Mario away from Xia Qianqian, ”What are you saying, you little brat? By the time you grow up, she’ll be an old lady with gray hair; would you still want to marry her then?”

The anger in his heart ignited inexplicably, refusing to quell. This little brat was always after his woman, truly having a death wish!

Xia Qianqian stood to the side, her expression turning sour as she heard Beitang Yao’s words. The Young Master said she’d become an old lady with gray hair. It made her feel a bit dazed.

”Oh dear, Mr. Beitang, be gentle; don’t hurt my darling!” The lady waved her hands in the air frantically, too afraid to step forward and protect her own son, simply pleading incessantly.

”Then don’t let him talk nonsense in front of my woman! What kind of upbringing is this? It’s completely lacking manners!” Beitang Yao coldly glanced at the lady before releasing Mario into her arms, ”Take these gifts back with you as well. I won’t allow her to accept them.”

Beitang Yao returned to Xia Qingqian’s side, glaring at her harshly, snatching the gift box from her hands and tossing it aside. He absolutely would not allow Xia Qingqian to accept these things of unknown origin!

There was no need to be polite with them; to dare openly speak such things to his woman meant they truly didn’t want to live!

”Young Master! Kids speak without thinking!” Xia Qingqian drew a deep breath, saying hurriedly and flusteredly.

As soon as she spoke, she took a few steps back continuously, realizing she had made yet another mistake! She’d called him ”Young Master” again, unsure of how she was going to face the consequences this time.
