Hidden Marriage, Overbearing Love: Mr! Please Let Me Go

”Yao, can I cook for you from now on?” She wasn’t trying to win his favor, but seeing him suffer from stomach pain made her feel a bit distressed.

”Sure.” He agreed readily.

Xia Qingqian didn’t expect him to agree so quickly, and she hadn’t recovered from the surprise when, after she did, he had already eaten an egg. He mimicked her way of peeling an egg, and after peeling it, handed it to her. ”Have another one.”

”No need, a glass of milk and one egg is enough for me.” She sat up straight, waving her hand.

”Eat it.” He was a bit displeased. Did she really not want the egg he just peeled?

Xia Qingqian stared at him in a daze, and seeing his displeasure, she didn’t dare to refuse any longer. She reached out to take the peeled egg and smiled, ”Thank you...”

”After finishing, we’ll first go back to the company, then head directly to the private airport to fly back home.” He said calmly, serving himself a bowl of porridge, enjoying the century egg and lean pork congee she made.

Xia Qingqian looked like she wanted to say something, with her gaze darting to Beitang Yao. When he looked up, she quickly averted her eyes, pretending to sip her milk.

Beitang Yao glanced at her indifferently, ”If you have something to say, just say it.” Seeing her struggle to speak, he couldn’t help but sigh internally. What a fool.

His words relaxed the tension she was holding, just waiting for an opportunity to release it. She took a deep breath, ”Yao, regarding Uncle Quan, could you listen to me first?”

Beitang Yao didn’t respond verbally, nor did he stop eating his porridge, his slender fingers gracefully handling the spoon, resembling the warm winter sunlight.

”Yao, Uncle Quan is already aging, and he’s been with the Beitang Family for most of his life. Shouldn’t he be allowed to retire and enjoy time with his family?” Does he really need to stay in the United Kingdom? Uncle Quan isn’t in good health; he most needs a family member by his side now.

But what does Uncle Quan get? Meeting his family only once every three months, even the closest relationships can become distant.

”This is not your concern.” His face darkened. This woman really had a broad reach, knowing even about Uncle Quan’s matters. How nosy could she be?

”Yao...” She anticipated this reaction, but he did let her finish speaking.

She truly wished for Uncle Quan to enjoy family time instead of being alone in the United Kingdom.

When people grow old, they most wish to be with their family, seeing their loved ones’ smiles every day is the greatest happiness. Why not give Uncle Quan this opportunity? Do people with power and influence really have the liberty to act ruthlessly?

”Didn’t I tell you to eat breakfast? Why are you still talking?” He looked at her quietly. Of course, he also wanted Uncle Quan to return, but his grandfather’s orders were absolute and couldn’t be defied by anyone. However, since Xia Qingqian brought it up, even if it meant going against his grandfather’s orders, he would find a way to bring Uncle Quan back home to reunite with his family.

He didn’t like others telling him what to do, but if it concerned someone he cared about, he would always try his best.

Moreover, he already intended for Uncle Quan to come back to the country.
