Our Family Has Fallen

Chapter 1081: Chapter 600: Swift Kill

Such a direct, even blindly decisive decision, but it was supported by everyone.

There’s no other choice since he’s the Lord.

Among them, only Baldwin found it a bit strange; he followed the team all the way up, knowing a detailed plan usually precedes every action.

Even the retreat route in case of mission failure is considered, emphasizing diligence.

They said this method is Lord’s decree, and indeed, the medical procedures he encountered before were quite cumbersome, like requiring extensive disinfection to enter and exit the Leprosy Camp.

But now, this one sentence perspective is truly unexpected.

However, Baldwin is not one to make a fuss; years of experience have long worn down his edges, making him more composed.

He remained silent on this, as he could see Lance was no ordinary person.

Being able to construct Hamlet and lead so many powerful transcendents—they didn’t believe they could achieve it themselves because it’s characterized as starting from scratch and in a very short time.

At this moment, Lance had already gathered everyone, expressing his attitude unapologetically.

”I can tell you directly, I’m very angry. Humanity has suffered enough, and I absolutely disagree with Pigmen appearing in this world. Now let’s completely eradicate them; monsters should return to Hell!”

Lance wasn’t wasteful in words, waving his hand grandly.

”Honor Guard, act according to the original plan—set off now!”

The Honor Guard would descend from covert location number two for demolition, while Lance led the heroes directly down from there to strike directly at the heart.

Perhaps the previous assaults pushed forward and killed many Pigmen; upon entry, they didn’t see much of anything.

But such a large group squeezing in here meant even if there were Pigmen, they wouldn’t dare approach, having fled out of sight long ago.

Because the route was already determined, the only task remaining was the journey, where nothing could obstruct them, no matter what emerged.

”When we were here last, right ahead was the formidable Pigmen guarding the Meat Mountain.” Laura followed behind Lance, guiding the way; she was indeed a professional pathfinder.

Lance looked ahead, seemingly already sensing the peculiar rancid smell in the air, faintly hearing the Pigmen’s screams echoing in his ears.

But compared to their previous hesitation and indecision, Lance strode forward boldly.

No matter what it was, it all had to die!

Perhaps even the Pigmen hadn’t expected humans to come back so quickly.

But there were some among the Pigmen who could step up.

Advancing, Lance suddenly sensed something, pulling a battle-scarred steel great shield out of thin air to block in front of him.

The next second, the echo of metal collision reverberated through the passage, the overwhelming force causing discomfort, shocking even his hand.

Lance, however, didn’t care; even the Pigman Knight’s full-force strike only dented the shield. No matter how sharp your spears were, penetrating the thick steel shield was impossible.

Holding the massive shield that covered his entire figure, he charged forward, steel clashing amid the Pigmen’s hysterical calls, until...

”Boom!”—a muffled sound.

Lance felt as if he collided with something; the surging force flooded in entirely, and he saw something flying through the darkness, like swatting a mosquito.

Laura watched this scene from behind. Just a while ago, that creature was chasing her; if not for Balistan’s timely protection, she might have been caught.

But now, there’s nothing strange about the Lord’s straightforward and brutal neutralization of such ferocious Pigmen—there’s a weird sense of innate trust.

Others arrived with the firelight illuminating what had been knocked away—a Misty Cave Hunter.

By observing the body and proportions, it was evident this being was a relatively successful creation of their ancestors. There weren’t many visible modifications, nor was it overly bulky but appeared ratherr stocky.

Unlike ordinary Pigmen, it was covered with ominous long red fur, its arms unusually long, thick, and powerful, and the hair couldn’t conceal the muscle lines.

On its face was a crudely assembled metal mask, and the pig-like snout was especially elongated with boar-like tusks.

On its back was a tube, holding metal spears of various lengths.

Misty Cave Hunter!

This creature’s vitality was still strong; it merely paused on the ground briefly before getting back up.

Without delay, it pulled the thickest spear from its back and hurled it at Lance with full force.

Meat pinned to the anvil!

Up close, one could feel the Hunter’s strength—effortlessly launching heavy spears with a single arm, the tearing sound echoing sharply through the passage.

In such a narrow space without room to dodge, Lance only had time to raise his shield forward, hoping the shield was sturdy enough.

Their short distance left no time—the shield immediately felt the exaggerated force, practically pushing him backward.

Amid the exploding collision sound, the shield was perforated, almost striking Lance directly.

Luckily, it stopped there; the power lasted only a moment, not forcing Lance back even one step.

Simultaneously, the thick steel shield stopped further tearing, leaving the heavy spear’s tip exposed without continuing forward.

Lance knew he couldn’t let it attack again, immediately charging forward with the great shield.

”Finish it!”

Faced with the advancing humans, the Misty Cave Hunter seemed to realize the severity of the situation; without any hesitation, it grabbed the short spears it carried and threw them out.
