1594 The Last Three Participants(5)

Chapter 1594: The Last Three Participants(5)

Hiss! Hiss! Hiss!

Frinsic rushed, making a hissing noise. Renxi followed, and a transparent energy barrier surrounded him.

The numerous sharp, tiny horns became the source of the poison as the area in the range of a few hundred miles turned dark. If not for the barrier protecting the people on the ground, the ground would have been littered with corpses.

Boom!

Renxi threw an energy bomb that exploded immediately as the poison in the air began to materialize itself.

It seemed Frinsic had gained superiority over his opponent after the transformation, but Mariamʼs expression didnʼt look good, and the next moment proved it.

A talisman appeared in Renxiʼs hands, and as he channeled energy into it, it began to fade. At the last moment, the talisman exploded into light particles.

The light particles then merged back and formed the projection of a bell in the air.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

The bell rang, and soon the poison began to be cleared out. At the same time, a flinching pain attacked Frinsic.

Renxi followed the way of Talisman, so his strongest attacks were related to that. The one he used was his ultimate attack and his best creation.

It encompassed both attack and defense, making him invulnerable for the duration of the talisman.

Frinsic struggled and released a heavy beam of poison, which struck the invisible barrier around Renxi. The barrier shook, but it stood strong.

Frinsic cries rang in the ears of the people on the ground. The cultivators cheered while the wizards frowned and had terrible expressions.

Mariamʼs expression also didnʼt look good. She could kill Renxi with a simple snap of her fingers, but Tira was there, who wouldnʼt let her do that.

Frinsic suddenly began to molt, shocking both Tira and Mariam. If the molting occurred, Frinsic would reach the level of the first-ranked warrior, which meant the loss of cultivators.

The first-ranked world only allowed for a single first-ranked warrior, but they werenʼt in their worlds at that moment and were in a different space altogether, which had no such restriction.

Renxiʼs heart began to beat louder, and an expression of terror began to engulf his heart. He knew he couldnʼt let Frinsic proceed any further, so he released all the talismans he owned.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

One explosion after another rocked the area, causing several injuries to Frinsicʼs gigantic body. At that moment, his eyes had turned red. He decided to put everything into the molting.

He would either emerge as a first-ranked warrior after the battle or this would be his last.

Unfortunately for Frinsic, he not only had Renxi as his opponent. Even Tira couldnʼt let a second first-ranked warrior emerge on the enemyʼs side, so she was also prepared to interfere. She only needed to cause enough interruption, and the breakthrough would fail.

Mariam knew what Tira wanted to do, so she immediately activated one of her abilities and locked Tira into another space with her.

Tira would not only need to battle Mariam but also break the space if she wanted to leave, but Mariam had enough confidence to stop Tira for enough time.

***

Seeing Frinsic still going, Renxi greeted his teeth and pounced on him. He no longer cared about the poison and began to punch the snake.

One punch after another landed, which had enough energy to tear the space. Frinsic gritted his teeth through all that, but when he was near the barrier, he suddenly felt his life force slipping away.

Wizards werenʼt the only ones with taboo spells. Cultivators also had them, and they called it forbidden arts.

Frinsic used one such art, which was the most damaging to the user. The art allowed a user to take the lifespans of their enemies. But the catch was that lifespan wouldnʼt belong to the user but would disappear into the world, whereas for every year taken out, the user would also spend four years of their life.

Cultivators had longer lifespans than the wizards, but it wasnʼt as exaggerated as four times. Slipping of lifespan would destroy the breakthrough, as any breakthrough for a warlock needed the channeling of energy and blood.

The energy was fine, but with the slipping away of lifespan, the blood began to riot. In the end, the breakthrough stopped, but nothing was left of Renxi.

He exhausted his entire lifespan to devour whatever he could from Frinsic. The battle came to a weird end, and the second-strongest warrior in the cultivatorʼs camp died.

Frinsic wasnʼt in a good condition either, as the failure of the breakthrough drained him of his blood energy, leaving his body weaker than ever. He was no longer able to fight, so in a sense, both sides lost their important warrior in a single battle.

The next moment, Tira succeeded in destroying the space and came out of it. When she saw the situation, her eyes turned cold, and Frinsic felt like falling to the depths of hell.

Mariam followed immediately after, and her expression became the same when she saw Frinsicʼs condition. The next moment, both sides began to fight each other.

The battle that should have decided the momentum of the war became the decisive moment of the war as it resulted in the start of the fight between the two leaders that would continue for centuries, with no victor in sight.

Their battle not only destroyed the fabric of space and the battlefield but also killed whatever remained of the two sides, leaving them alone. Since those two were the only remaining warriors from the two sides, one side needed to die for the champion to arrive.

The battle raged on and kept on raging until finally the victor was found. Tira succeeded in landing the last strike.

Mariam died as a response to that, whereas Tira was on the verge of death.

At that moment, the time suddenly froze for Tira, and she could see time slowly reverting back to the point where the three worlds had teleported around the portal.

It didnʼt mean that their battle didnʼt occur, as a large golden strip covered Tiraʼs world, marking her victory, while a black strip covered Mariamʼs world.

The familiar scenes of finding the opponents for the war then played out, and soon the next round of combatants appeared, while the remaining one was frozen in time.

It was finally Ranshʼs turn to fight, and his opponent was Tira, who had already won a victory against Mariam.

Other than Tira, none of the soldiers in her world had memories of their battles against Mariamʼs world. It was done to ensure that all the participants would remain at the same level no matter how many times they would fight.

As for Tira having the memories, it didnʼt make much change. Even with the memory, Tira couldnʼt say for sure that she would be able to win against Mariam if they had another battle.

The war between Tira and Ransh began and raged for centuries before the ultimate battle finally began.

Ranshʼs side had the edge at that moment since he had more people on his side. It was due to his ability. He didnʼt let his children join the war, and they were chilling in the building.

Tiraʼs side also had some soldiers left, but compared to Ranshʼs side, they were less. Ranshʼs side had superiority because they studied energy and had many ways to control the cultivators.

The battle between the two leaders began, and since both were equally strong, no side seemed to gain any superiority. The fight continued for several centuries, and Ransh finally began to get some edge over his opponent, but the victor couldnʼt be decided yet.

A few more years later, Ransh and Tira were the last remaining people from their sides, but Ransh seemed in better condition at that moment.

It was not much better than Tira, who was slowly losing the battle due to severe injuries, but still better.

In the end, the battle finally ended, and Ransh became the winner of the two.

Since Tira had already faced both her opponents, it was time for her to be frozen while Ransh and Mariam would battle.

If Mariam won, there would be another round, but if Ransh won, he would be the winner, while she would be in second place. Tira didnʼt want to see that happen.

Unfortunately, despite being a first-ranked warrior, luck was out of her control, and Ransh became the winner against Mariam. Although he was merely one billionth of a second behind Mariam in terms of their time of death, the fact remained that when Mariam died, he still had breath.

The next moment, the last three participants appeared on the platform, forgetting everything about their actions and skills in the virtual world. They only remembered their ranks, making Ransh jump up in excitement.

Tira couldnʼt help but be angry in her heart since she had won one war, whereas Mariam was just disappointed with herself since she was the only one to lose both wars.
