Chapter 1590: The Last Three Participants (1)

Linling got a gist of what the leader wanted to do, and she couldnʼt let more warriors besiege her. Even with the spear, she was no match for five warriors at the same time. She knew she needed to do something.

An idea emerged in her head, forcing her eyes to turn red. The next moment, she gritted her teeth and exploded the spear, knocking the three enemies backward.

She couldnʼt help but cough blood herself as she also faced the brunt of the explosion, but her condition was better than the enemies.

She couldnʼt let the chance slip away from her hands as many warriors from the enemy camp left their battles and rushed toward their leader to save him.

The spear still had some of its shaft left, so pushing her body to its maximum capacity, she threw whatever was left of it.

Boom!

The damaged weapon flew, tearing through the air and breaking the sound barrier. At the same time, Linlingʼs body gave up.

Those who got freed from battle rushed toward Linling to protect her and also followed the damaged spearʼs direction.

Puchi!

The leader was already very injured and couldnʼt do much to defend. He tried to move, but the force of the weapon was such that when it hit him, his body exploded.

The enemy still had more peak ninth-ranked warriors, but the leaderʼs death completely shifted the momentum of the war. One side was depressed, while the other side was excited.

They laughed as they hunted their enemies, and after a long battle of three months, the war came to an end. At that time, the laughter disappeared and was replaced by crying.

Now that the enemies were dead, they finally noticed the numerous deaths in their camp. Reproduction was easy for them, but those who died were still ones who fought with them for years. Some were lovers, some were family, and some were both.

Linling was still in a coma as her body had broken down due to that last attack. She might seem fine from the outside, but her inner body was completely in ruins. If not for her strong will to survive, her body would have given up, and she would be dead.

Gerling couldnʼt help but breathe a sigh of relief when he saw the result. More than ninety-five percent of the total participants had already been disqualified.

But since the number of contestants was high, those who survived the second invasion still numbered tens of billions.

Linlingʼs body was in terrible condition, but it was slowly healing. A few years later, she finally regained consciousness.

The first thing she did after waking up was to cry. Those werenʼt happy tears but tears of anger and regret.

The high number of deaths in the war was another thing, but losing the evolved weapon was even more painful.

The reproduction rate in her world was significantly high, allowing for the easy replenishment of people and soldiers, but the same couldnʼt be said for the spear.

Only two or three ninth-grade worlds had that kind of weapon. She didnʼt keep at it for long as her subordinates arrived after hearing her crying.

She didnʼt want to sound cold-hearted, so she kept those things only in her heart.

”Master President, you are finally awake.”

The girl who was closest to her couldnʼt help but cry tears of joy. Linling had made her place such in the world that despite her being in a coma for years, no one even thought of replacing her as the president.

”Master President, these are what we gained from the war,” The governor excitedly told Linling while pointing at the mountains of resources.

Even Linling couldnʼt help but smile as the herbs in the room were enough to create several peak ninth-ranked warriors.

At the same time, she also felt confused about why the enemy didnʼt use these resources to increase their strength.

The first enemy could be called incompetent, but she couldnʼt say the same for the second invaders. It was a powerful world with a longer history than them.

The governor could see what was going through Linlingʼs mind, so she informed her about the situation while she was in a coma with a sneering smile on her face.

Linling couldnʼt help but nod in understanding after hearing about the situation.

ʼAs expected, the trusted ones are the worst enemy.ʼ

Linling sighed in her heart. These items were kept by different peak ninth-ranked warriors from the enemy camp.

If they had joined forces, the result of the war would have been completely different.

”We canʼt let the same happen to us. Check every single person that has come in contact with the loot. Anyone found in possession of the loot needs to hand it over.”

Linling suddenly issued the order, sending shivers down the governorʼs spine. Her voice seemed to contain no emotions at that time.

”Madam President, that will alienate the soldiers,” She immediately stated.

Corruption was a part of the nature of living. Everyone wanted to gain benefits for themselves. If there were no benefits, why would someone risk their lives?

Only benefits could trump the idea of survival.

”We wonʼt be taking those for free. We will pay them appropriately. These items are important so that we could quickly replenish the world and increase the number of strongmen.”

Time flew by, and days passed in the blink of an eye.

People were quite angry with Linlingʼs decision, but the anger remained in a controllable range as the administration didnʼt take advantage of the people.

At the same time, the power of the world grew rapidly, and three years later, news of another invasion came. At that time, the world only had fifty years to prepare for the invasion.

Time flew by, and years after years passed for the participants while only a short time had passed for the audience.

With every moment, a large number of contestants were getting disqualified.

After three successful defends, the difficulty of the defense grew unprecedently.

Only five million out of more than three trillion contestants survived the fourth invasion. The number dwindled even more for the fifth one.

Only three contestants survived five invasions, while the remaining got disqualified. At that time, the eyes of everyone in the audience were directed at only the three of them.
