1560 The Purple Drongo!

Chapter 1560: The Purple Drongo!

Neira recognized the beast on the screen, and her eyes immediately lightened up in anticipation and excitement. The beast cards appeared immediately after the summon, but even that small window seemed like a long time to her.

Once the card finally appeared, her lips curled up in a beautiful smile since the details didnʼt disappoint her.

The upper half of the card contained an illustration of the Purple Drongo. It was a magnificent flying creature with sleek, shining plumage that glowed with hues of violet, indigo, and deep blue. Its slender body was simplified for swift flight, with mighty wings engraved with irregular lightning-shaped patterns that crackled with electrical energy.

Its sharp talons and beak flashed with a metallic glow. Its piercing golden eyes radiated with an otherworldly intelligence, reflecting its deep connection to the spatial realms. It was in a flying posture on the card, so a trail of sparkling dust followed in its wake.

Neiraʼs grandfather would summon his favorite grandchildren and descendants further down the line every ten thousand years. Neiraʼs cultivation wasnʼt high enough to be summoned, but her background allowed her.

Since she was the favorite of her grandmother, her grandfather would also call her. During one such meeting, the man took his descendants to meet his father, a Sacred Creator and the ruler of the race.

That was the only time Neira met her great-grandfather. Unlike her grandfather, the great-grandfather showed no interest in Neira, so she could only see him from a distance and couldnʼt talk to him.

That time Neira saw the Purple Drongo. It was her great-grandfatherʼs partner who had been with him since his early years.

The Purple Drongo wasnʼt a Sacred Creator but a peak Sacred Monarch, but its status was second only to that of the ruler.

Neiraʼs grandfather had a good relationship with the bird, so he let Neira meet it.

Neira couldnʼt help but remember the memory after he saw the beast. She had thought of several beasts to summon, and the Purple Drongo was one of them.

Since its details were better than she desired, the decision wasnʼt very difficult for her. It was only her first attempt, so she got the summon cheaply, and that made her smile.

Neira believed that she had made up for the loss she had accumulated due to the pill purchase.

With a joyous mood, she left the queue and walked toward the device. There were a few people before her, so she joined the line and waited for her turn.

A few seconds later, it was her turn. She took a deep breath and placed the card in the card compartment.

Her eyes were solemn since it was time to battle. The better the quality of the beast, the more difficult it was to win the taming battle.

Neira always took her battle seriously, so she no longer thought about anything other than the fight. When she placed her hand in the respective section, the view before her changed.

She was no longer before the square device but in an unfamiliar environment where she would face the beast. Her cultivation had dropped to early Supreme God, the same level as the bird.

The wind was chilly, while the sky was dark, lightening up purple from time to time.

The Purple Drongo was a beast that could control the three elements of air, thunder, and space, so the environment was rich with the three elements.

Neira wasnʼt a user of any of the three, so the environment was of no advantage to her.

Cry!

Suddenly, a bird cry rang in the area, and Neira looked in that direction. She then saw the majestic Purple Drongo approaching her direction at a quick speed.

It stopped a hundred meters from her. Neira was a tall being with a height of around fifteen feet, but she still seemed nothing before the beast.

The Purple Drongo was around 100 feet in size without even spreading its wings. If it did the latter, it grew almost twice in size. It was a beast calm in nature, unlike the violent element of thunder.

It descended to the ground after closing its wings and waited for the battle to begin.

Ding!

The wait didnʼt last long, and the bell rang, announcing the start of the battle.

Whoosh!

The Purple Drongo appeared right before Neira and attacked. Its claws had turned into lightning after activating the skill.

Neira had underestimated the agility of the beast, but she still succeeded in backing away; some of the thunder charred her upper body.

The creature had no mood to keep fighting for hours, so it immediately let out a thunderous cry.

Neira was about to attack when she suddenly felt her senses disorienting, causing the attack to fail.

Slash! Boom! Crash!

The Purple Drongo didnʼt waste that window and slashed, activating [Lightning Assault] once again. A small explosion occurred after it struck the stranger.

Neira was thrown backward by the force of the explosion and crashed hard on the ground. Fortunately for Neira, the attack wasnʼt a critical hit, so she didnʼt get paralyzed.

”Ugh!” She groaned and immediately stood up because the creature was there with its next attack.

***

Neira struck, resulting in her wounds widening up. Even though she was fighting with her full strength, the Purple Drongo wasnʼt something she could win against.

There was a strength gap between the two, so even if Neira tried to use suicidal attacks, it didnʼt provide her with too much leeway.

Neira wasnʼt some stubborn lady, so after repeatedly finding that she had no chance to win against the beast at that time, she immediately surrendered.

The Purple Drongo was preparing to make the stranger face another [Thunderstorm Summon] but stopped after she surrendered.

The bird took one glance at Neira and then disappeared into the sky. She gave it the feeling that she would return for another battle, so it needed to become even stronger.

As long as it remained the stronger of the two, the taming battle would always be in its favor.
