I AM the Football Star

”The greater the achievement, the harder it is to succeed, because it makes some people realize their own mediocrity!”

”Lu Yang must have seen Santos, but he still chose to use a flower kick to score! If it were you, what choice would you make?”

It’s not that they’re not optimistic, but from a professional perspective, Lu Yang’s injury has too significant an impact.

There are two kinds of injuries that could directly end a player’s career.

One is a severe ligament, Achilles tendon rupture, etc.

After surgical recovery, a player might be able to appear on the field, but their form will have declined substantially.

Not saying their ability is reduced by ninety percent, but at least a seventy percent reduction.

The other kind is serious skeletal issues.

The most dangerous is a spinal problem, which directly affects a person’s mobility and life.

Next is the bones of the calf.

Because this is where a person’s weight and power are supported.

Simple fractures are easy to repair, but fractures like Lu Yang’s, which are multiple segments and involve multiple bones, require the insertion of metal plates, restriction of movement, and waiting for the bones to heal.

And once the bones grow back, they often develop other problems.

One theory is that the fracture site grows thicker and stronger.

But there’s also a theory that if the connection and growth aren’t perfect, problems are more likely to appear.

And regardless of which scenario, these are issues for two or three years down the line.

Lu Yang... does he need to leave the field for two or three years?

Will he be able to come back in two or three years?

How much ability will he have left when he returns?

Various questions keep being raised.

No one can give a definite answer, including Lu Yang’s attending physician.

Because they had a significant disagreement over the treatment plan.

Lu Yang’s idea was... to remove the metal plates two months after insertion.

This was too funny.

As if he just needs his bones fixed temporarily?

Does he think bones are flesh, stuck together and can recover initially in two or three days, and fully heal in ten days?

But ultimately, after repeated communication and confirmation, the attending physician had to adopt Lu Yang’s treatment plan.

Otherwise, Lu Yang would change hospitals.

In the West, as the one providing payment, Lu Yang has absolute autonomy.

He could even request the doctor to inject lethal substances in certain places.

This is unimaginable in most regions.

So about three days after the match ended, during the victory celebration in San Remo, when Lu Yang appeared mysteriously, dragging his plastered left leg while sitting in a wheelchair, global searches exploded once again.

Most people were moved because they understood this might be Lu Yang’s last time with San Remo fans.

But there were conspiracy theorists who felt Lu Yang was exploiting his own popularity.

They believed Lu Yang knew he could never play football again, so he was frantically appearing, not missing any public event.

This baseless notion even got likes!

San Remo fans were furious.

”How can you say that about Lu?”

”With your twisted minds, everything looks dirty!”

”People like you are so pathetic because your mindset shows you’ve never experienced genuine care from others!”

”Lu Yang can recover, I always believe in him!”

”No matter where Lu Yang goes, no matter when he returns to the field, I’ll support and cheer for him without reservation!”

But the stubborn netizen stood firm on their previous statement, mocking, ”So fans are often the most irrational. Is Lu Yang even able to play football anymore!”

”Look at those teams that used to shout about buying Lu Yang, is anyone still speaking up now?”

”Return! Recover! No impact on combat power! Ha ha!”

French Football was the first to repost this war of words.

Their previous news had been terribly criticized.

Because they published articles like ”Bayern 3-0, Bloodbath at San Remo!”, ”No More Miracles! Without Offside Lu Yang Can’t Score?”, ”So What About the Equalizer? Lu Yang Kneels in Bayern’s Penalty Area, Salutes the Champion!”

In the end... obviously their prediction was wrong.

San Remo’s brilliant counterattack, Lu Yang’s flashy positioning, slapped French Football in the face.

And the subsequent injury to Lu Yang and his displayed spirit and persistence earned global fan recognition and support.

French Football could only stay low-key for a while.

Until they remembered Lu Yang’s transfer issue.

Lu Yang... can he still transfer?

Most people actually know that it’s unlikely.

It’s not that he will stay at San Remo, it’s that... he may directly retire.

Or lie in a hospital bed for a year and a half, and then maybe some teams will try buying Lu Yang to see how much strength he has left.

But it would only be ordinary teams.

By then Lu Yang would absolutely not be suitable for high-level, intense matches.

Relegation teams from the Bundesliga, Ligue 1, or simply go to the Portuguese Super League and Eredivisie.

Overall, in mainstream football leagues, it’s unlikely to see the figure of Lu Yang anymore.

Didn’t he like supporting football developments inland?

Now he can go.

Because his career has nearly come to an abrupt end.

French Football’s commentary left Lu Yang’s fans silent.

At this moment, they hated French Football.

They vowed to never support any of this media’s businesses for life.

They would even stop watching the Golden Ball Award selection in the future because French Football is the organizer.
