I AM the Football Star

After all, my relationship with UEFA... you know.

But Lu Yang didn’t care, urged his teammates to start training again, then stood on the sidelines with a phone and dialed Gudiola.

”What’s up? Just been here for a day and infected by the passion of Barcelona fans, thinking of transferring to our Barça?” Gudiola concealed his intentions with his first line as he picked up the call.

”If I dare to come, would you dare to take me?” Lu Yang laughed.

Gudiola instantly fell silent.

Barça truly wouldn’t dare to take him.

It’s not that Lu Yang’s transfer fee is too high for Barça to afford, or his salary is too high for Barça to use.

It’s because Lu Yang is not Moreira.

Lu Yang’s football is first overbearing, then kingly, and lastly saintly.

In other words, you must recognize Lu Yang’s leadership status, then he will willingly contribute to the team.

And Barça cannot have a new leader.

After Mateo took the position, he’s the field leader, while the local group is the locker room leader, which is already well-defined.

They are very adapted and looking forward to the next season after Moreira leaves.

Barça’s top management would have to lose their minds to choose to bring in Lu Yang.

This is also why, even after Gudiola said the line ”he can score at Bernabéu”, Barça’s top management was very tempted but ultimately chose silence as the most important reason.

Good and expensive doesn’t always mean suitable.

”To the point, I want a spot for the player escort. There’s a player from my hometown named Jiangyou Mateo, you can also call her China Mateo...” Lu Yang briefly explained the matter.

Gudiola was initially very interested, but later lost interest upon realizing this was a girl.

This has nothing to do with disdain, it’s just that at this stage World Football doesn’t pay much attention to women’s football.

It hasn’t expanded to that area yet.

”It’s very tricky.” Gudiola said, ”The spot you mentioned was already arranged by Barça’s chairman for a wealthy man’s son.”

Lu Yang frowned: ”Is he my fan?”

If it’s his little fan, it’s indeed hard to play favorites, but agreeing to meet privately or have a meal, the other party should be happier.

After all, the interaction lasts longer.

Gudiola said: ”Not really, it’s because you attract the most attention, and the camera stays on you the longest. The father wants to launch his child into the entertainment industry, so...”

Lu Yang laughed: ”I see. Then it’s easy. My escort must be that little girl I arranged, otherwise I refuse to escort any player out.”

”I’m not targeting that child, I just can’t stand parents like these.”

”Using my influence is fine, but they should approach me, not Barça. Because on this matter, I have more decision power than Barça.”

Gudiola was speechless: ”Your territorial sense is too strong, which will make it very difficult for future head coaches when you move to new teams. It will also be hard to integrate into a team style, Lu, you really should change your temper.”

”Not all teams are San Remo. Barça, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern, none of these giants revolve around a single player.”

Lu Yang knew Gudiola was kind: ”Thanks for your advice, but this problem should be left for the unlucky head coach I encounter later to solve. I will not be troubled because I have confidence in my own abilities.”

”Seriously, you have to help me resolve the player escort matter. This can also be used to test your standing among Barça’s top management, right?”

”If they don’t value you... have you heard of Manchester City? They...”

Gudiola upon hearing Manchester City, immediately got flustered: ”How do you know-- ah damn... what are you saying? I tell you, don’t spew nonsense! What’s slow or not slow, accomplished or not accomplished.”

Lu Yang chuckled, leaving it there.

Everyone is smart.

Others may not see where Gudiola’s next destination is, but Lu Yang can’t see it?

”I’ll go arrange it!” Gudiola hung up the phone, but indeed felt tempted by Lu Yang’s suggestion to test Barça’s top management’s level of attention.

For him it was crucial whether the top management saw him or thought Barça is a ”team that can be rebuilt even with a dog tied to it.”

Still, he doesn’t want to be considered a success only because of Barça.

He wants people to realize that Barça’s success was because of Gudiola.

If no one hears him, he’ll go to a more suitable place to convey this point.
