I AM the Football Star

Because this is her starting point.

”Oh! That little ball boy beside Lu Yang looks really familiar!”

”The camera is fixed on her for a long time, she is the little girl who became immensely popular in football over the past two days. I watched her move past the main centre-back of San Remo, Naji, fifty times!”

”Unexpectedly, she became Lu Yang’s ball boy; this arrangement shouldn’t have come from UEFA or Barça. It should be arranged by San Remo and Lu Yang.”

”Lu Yang is using all his influence in world football to bring positive impact to Chinese football. He shows the sincerity in his heart!”

”We also hope that the National Team can get better... forget it, let’s hope the women’s team gets better, at least we can see hope in them.”

”Oh! The Bayern fans on the sidelines are a bit damaging!”

In the stands, the Bayern fan section raised a huge picture.

It had the words ”San Remo Supermarket” written in large print.

Below were many pictures of goods, but those items had the images of San Remo players imprinted on them.

Lu Yang, Morici, Talista, Bai Zhami, Delarre, Canyes, Lam, and others.

Picking on weaknesses.

The Bayern fans did a good job.

The San Remo fans immediately retaliated, but their efforts weren’t as strong as those of Bayern.

The stands erupted in disputes.

Problems also appeared on the green pitch.

The camera suddenly focused on Naji and Bayern center-back Fim Santos.

The two of them were involved in a fierce argument, to the point of a chest-to-chest collision.

Naji was flushed, emotionally agitated.

Santos kept saying: ”What’s the matter? You can’t allow others to criticize your poor performance? Being overtaken by an eleven-year-old little girl, what qualifies you to play in Serie A and the Champions League?”

”I say you are the worst player on this team, right?”

”You really shouldn’t be here; Alme should take your place!”

Santos used to play for Barça, and knew that San Remo’s center-back substitute Alme was a youth player loaned from Barça.

He said it on purpose.

The greatest fear isn’t failure itself, but failing in comparison.

It’s definite that Naji is more excellent than Alme, at least in San Remo.

But it’s also true that Naji was overtaken by a little girl.

The video leak so enraged San Remo because the subsequent rumors might affect Naji’s performance.

The result... needless to say.

Before this match, Sotu actually carefully considered whether to replace Naji with Alme in the starting lineup, with Naji as a substitute.

But that would hit Naji too hard.

Besides, neither Palacios nor Alme had the hard skills matching Naji.

So he took a risk and played Naji.

But it turns out, Naji is indeed young, easily provoked to anger by a few words from Santos.

This match, his performance is in doubt.

The main referee quickly intervened in the dispute; although the match hadn’t started yet, he instructed both to settle down, otherwise it wouldn’t be good for anyone.

After a brief ceremony, the match officially began.

It’s unclear whether the argument with Santos affected Naji, but his performance was poor in the first few minutes.

In the third minute.

Bayern launched an attack from the left flank.

Lu Yang’s teammate Nikluci from the Italy National Youth Team joined Bayern, mostly playing as a substitute.

But today, he was starting.

The third time he touched the ball, he boldly passed straight, sending the football to Robben.

Robben performed a fired meatball, forcefully breaking through between Lam and Canyes, heading straight for the San Remo penalty area.

Naji requested to duel with Robben, 1V1.

Robben dribbled, his body slightly swaying.

A shake of the dribbling body’s center of gravity.

This move is a deceptively simple top-level passing technique.

Both Robben and Mateo from Barça are particularly good at it.

Bang!

A crossover.

Naji fell heavily to the ground.

Robben charged into the penalty area, kicking and shooting!

Areola didn’t expect Naji’s collapse so quickly, catching the ball a step too slow.

The football burrowed into the net.

One to zero!

Bayern Munich took the lead.

”GOAL! Robben!”

”Robben is still Robben! He’s in perfect form!”

”This is the power of a world-class left winger! A goal in the opening three minutes!”

”Six million euros is absolutely worth it! Bayern made a wise choice!”

”This Naji is really no good, just like a wooden stake!”

”How did this guy manage to become San Remo’s starting center-back? He might be suitable for 2nd Bundesliga.”

”No wonder he was overtaken by an eleven-year-old girl, a Serie A defender, hahaha.”

”Weak defenders are just not fun, making our Robben and an eleven-year-old girl look like they’re on the same level!”

Bayern fans laughed and chatted, delighted.

While Naji lay on the ground, his hands covering his face, extremely despaired.

”Get up, this isn’t your fault.” Bernulin came over and pulled Naji up.

That last breakthrough by Robben was indeed high-level, even Bernulin might have been easily passed.

Facing such top-level risks one-on-one, the likelihood of becoming a background figure is high; center-backs should get used to it.

It’s not Naji being too weak, it’s Robben being too strong.

But unfortunately, Naji’s mental state was terribly poor today, so he is now extremely shattered.
