Beneath the Red Dragon

”Are gods invincible to creatures in the mortal world?”

”Of course, in every aspect, they are invincible.”

”But in terms of knowledge and wisdom, gods are just creatures with fewer weaknesses!”

In the laboratory within the Dragon Nest Canyon, Karon slowly raised his head to answer Green Dragon Antajena’s question.

Green Dragon Antajena’s humanoid form was tall and beautiful, with jade-like eyes tinted with two brilliant blues. This color represents wisdom and is an expression that appears in the Giant Dragons of the Gogomola Dragon Group when they consume large amounts of spices.

In the Golden Empire, Ancestral Red Dragon Karon Gogomola’s favoritism towards two special creatures is well-known, one being Camid, the White Dragon Lord of the Gogomola Dragon Group, the other is Pik Fairy Riven, the Minister of Agriculture Planning of the Empire.

Nonetheless, with Green Dragon Antajena able to enter the exclusive private laboratory of the Ancestral Red Dragon, it denotes that this Green Dragon, to some extent, has gained the favor of the Ancestral Red Dragon, even if it is in another aspect.

”To investigate a particular direction of research, one must establish a goal, and then boldly propose hypotheses. Through theoretical knowledge and the deduction of wise thinking, conduct a rigorous experiment to verify the direction one wishes to explore, and finally summarize the results and patterns of the process to draw correlation conclusions.”

”Biological experiments require extreme caution, and every step needs proper documentation.”

”Due to the individual differences in biological experimental subjects, the natural repetitive conformity rate may fluctuate; if the experimental procedures lack rigor, the results you want to obtain may also lead to significant deviations!”

Karon advises Green Dragon Antajena while watching the changes happening in the ancestral dragon blood flowing through the magic observation instrument created by the Magic Constant Skill without lifting his head.

He has been observing in the laboratory for a month now.

The ancestral evil dragon true blood extracted from Karon’s dragon form is actively moving within the sealed magic instrument.

It behaves as if it possesses its own life force and autonomous consciousness, extending tiny tentacles like those of an octopus from the edges of this cluster of Evil Dragon Blood, searching for its host.

For Karon, after advancing to Ancestral Dragon, extracting a certain amount of Evil Dragon True Blood can be done at will without causing any harm to his bloodline.

The powerful regeneration ability of the Ancestral Red Dragon allows for the quick creation of new blood within a short time.

Especially after devouring many dragons from two worlds, the strength of the blood source from the ancestral dragon blood amplified again, allowing the Ancestral Red Dragon to begin taking steps toward the initial phase of dragon conception, even while being an ancestral dragon species.

Even though the goal remains infinitely distant for Karon, the accumulated progress is observable by the Ancestral Red Dragon himself.

Every step taken means an achievement, and the sense of gain acquired is one of the continuous motivations that keep Karon going day and night.

A thread of pure and dense power of faith spills from Karon’s fingertips, like milk-white yet transparent threads, penetrating the magically sealed test tube with no obstruction, infusing into the cluster of Evil Dragon True Blood, which exhibits an explosion of life force far stronger than the ferocious species found on the prairie.

This pure power of faith doesn’t contain any impurities; prayers and miscellaneous thoughts from followers of the Ancestral Red Dragon have already been stripped away through arrangements made by the Ancestral Red Dragon.

The golden giant bell in every city within the territory of the Golden Empire acts as both a transmission point and a filter for the power of faith.

These powers of faith, under the guidance of secret magic artifacts, converge within the Giant Dragon Hall, where they are refined and nurtured by the Heroic Spirits within the hall.

On one hand, nurturing the souls of the Heroic Spirits within the hall, and on the other hand, using these Heroic Spirits as terminal filtration nodes for the power of faith, alleviating many unnecessary impacts for both the Ancestral Red Dragon and other Giant Dragons.

Even so, under the influence of the Ancestral Red Dragon, not a single dragon in the Golden Empire uses itself to carry the filtered power of faith.

Like Black Dragon Rosani, who condenses his own power of faith into the Dragon-Eating Aspect, mirroring the Ancestral Red Dragon’s visage.

Karon himself does not absorb this power of faith, which is absolutely precious to other higher existences, but instead carries it entirely through visage.

Dragon-blood Angel Gabriel was born for this reason, upon birth, carrying some of the powers and responsibilities of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

Karon observed the directional change happening in the ancestral red dragon under the influence of the power of faith within the test tube.

The divine position is not far from Karon.

Divinity, to some extent, is a unique trait belonging to the Divine Race, relating to a divine spirit’s personality, beliefs, style of conduct, and tendencies.

Like a comprehensive entity, an elevate higher spiritual energy will.

In some legends, there are mortals among the lucky ones who accidentally absorb divinity and gain magical abilities, and some special divinities even allow short-lived species in the mortal realm to gain more lifespan.

But divinity also includes the influence of the divine spirit’s personality and beliefs, similar to the primordial spirit fragments condensed by higher beings in other cosmoses.

Fallen divine spirits through the aggregation of divinity can hijack and occupy nests, resurrect anew, or may have their existing divine spirit information erased and absorbed by the absorbers, transforming into their own power.
