Beneath the Red Dragon

Steel Dragon Midir tapped the steel plate on his chest and looked down on the Red Dragon, saying, ”The pursuit of creation magic should be about creating wonders, altering reality, extending life, and foreseeing the future. The strength of Mages lies not in the power of their magic, but in their mind and wisdom.”

”Do tar skill and low-level fireball skill combined have less power than intermediate skills? Fool Kedelos.”

The young Red Dragon Kedelos looked confused, glancing at the other Giant Dragon Lords, none of whom refuted Steel Dragon Midir’s opinion; instead, they appeared approving.

Even the White Dragon Lord Camid, who was busy eating and drinking, looked like he held all the wisdom.

”Have you all learned this? How come I didn’t know?” Kedelos exclaimed, shocked, his large upper and lower teeth able to fit an entire lamb between them.

Fog Dragon Deniro glanced at the Red Dragon, ”In the newly built library in the Dragon Court, all these knowledge can be found. Do you think the other dragons come to the court just for feasting and gatherings?”

”Pay attention, Kedelos; even White Dragon Saclese, due to excellent results in the preliminary logic mathematics exam, was allowed to come to the court to study once. If you don’t work hard, you might be left far behind.”

Kedelos shook his head, sulkily lying down.

On the other side, Ocean Dragon Naxson shifted slightly, continuing his conversation with Bronze Dragon Alina and Blue Dragon Doss.

”Those elves have been hiding in the forest for many years, their civilization may have declined, but today on the battlefield against the Zor, they performed exceptionally.”

Bronze Dragon Lord Alina sipped a barrel of ’Odyssey Brew,’ saying, ”The elves’ sword dancers and their demon archers are formidable, combined with the elves’ casting corps, they defeated the Zor’s Dark Corps easily. It seems we should not underestimate those ancient civilized realms.”

Blue Dragon Doss nodded; as long as it wasn’t about governance, this Blue Dragon spoke rather frequently.

”Every race that can endure has its unique strengths; although the Imperial will surely be far stronger than the secluded elves in the future, we should not underestimate them.”

”But speaking of the Dark Realm, the latest documents seem to indicate an unexpected large passage node towards the Dark Realm was uncovered while the Imperial Miner Corps was excavating deep into the plateau’s mineral veins,”

”On the opposite side of the passage, there are not only many monsters from the Dark Realm, but the Miner Corps also discovered traces of a dragon’s activity. Based on some behaviors and traces left by the dragon, the Miner Corps believes it’s a Purple Dragon,” Blue Dragon Doss shared his intelligence.

Ocean Dragon Naxson suddenly became interested, asking, ”A Purple Dragon? I’ve heard about this colorful dragon’s nightmare-like cousin, supposedly a natural abyss manipulator, a perfect hunter in the Dark Realm.”

Ocean Dragon Naxson looked at Blue Dragon Doss, curiously asking, ”Also, the habits of Purple Dragons have a close connection with the legend of the Primordial Dragon God Ayo. Doss, are you aware of the secrets among them?”

Blue Dragon Doss shook his head, ”The Five-Color Dragon inheritance doesn’t emphasize these things, after all, the Purple Dragon race isn’t classified among the ten True Dragons, so I don’t know much.”

”I know a bit about the legend of the Purple Dragon race,” Ocean Dragon Naxson’s always serious expression turned joyful, his long tail beginning to sway unconsciously, like a big cat’s tail with a mind of its own.

”Legend has it that Purple Dragons like to collect secrets and learn about distant lands. They pursue gaining knowledge and cunning, look down on creatures they find useless, but are willing to barter for desired knowledge with any creature,”

”Their living regions are deeper than where Black Dragons reside, and they always stay curious about tunnels and cracks leading to deeper, unknown areas; all these habits originate from a mysterious realm’s legend.”

Ocean Dragon Naxson pretended to sip his drink, seeing the Giant Dragon Lords around him were more or less listening discreetly, he satisfactorily put down his barrel and continued.

”Purple Dragons are far more enthusiastic about exploration than any dragon race, deeply exploring the subterranean world far more complex than the surface world, due to a mysterious realm left by the Primordial Dragon God Ayo.”

”According to the Purple Dragon race’s inheritance, ancient myths narrate that before being split in half by the powerful Lord of Terror’s Refined Gold Giant Axe, the Primordial Dragon God Ayo left behind a mysterious realm in the depths of the world.”

”Within this mysterious realm is recorded ancient knowledge written by the Primordial Dragon God Ayo and artifacts bearing such ancient knowledge. This knowledge is so powerful that a dragon who gains it can be strong enough to control a divine spark,”

”Eventually ascending to the power of a divine format.”

...

Pikku Little Elf Riven stepped onto the second floor of the Dragon King Court, searching for traces of the Ancestral Red Dragon.

The deep corridor was silent, with no female attendants in sight.

From the bedroom at the end of the corridor, unusual sounds vaguely emerged, faint and dreamlike, sounds Pikku Little Elf Riven had only occasionally overheard during her parents’ conversations.

”What is Karon doing?” Little Elf Riven’s face turned red, yet she couldn’t help but fly curiosity towards the source of the noise.

Upon reaching the end of the corridor, an unprecedented scene struck Riven like lightning, freezing her in place.

This was a spacious bedroom, and the Ancestral Red Dragon she was seeking was together with Green Dragon Antajena and Red Dragon Kleyna.

With a body measuring over twenty-seven meters, the Ancestral Red Dragon loomed like a mountain, covering Green Dragon Antajena and Red Dragon Kleyna’s backs,

A piece of white silk hung from Green Dragon Antajena’s mouth, indistinguishable from her white fangs, and her green scales seemed to have absorbed the Ancestral Red Dragon’s color, becoming like boiled shrimp, shining with a hazy lustre.

As for Red Dragon Kleyna, her voice was somewhat hoarse,

... Perhaps in great pain, but the female Red Dragon Kleyna’s long tail was tightly wrapped around the Ancestral Red Dragon, a dragon’s surrender, also a dragon’s plea.

”Oh my, what am I seeing,” Pikku Little Elf Riven’s face flushed red, she whispered in a fine voice, ”My eyes are going to spoil, I’m flabbergasted,”

”No, no, I actually didn’t see anything!”
