Beneath the Red Dragon

Karon’s consciousness amplified the faint voice, gradually echoing throughout his mind. The shadow behind the will that was originally strong due to pride was also laid bare for Karon’s self-examination, observation, and analysis, for the purpose of ”knowing thyself.”

”Indeed, I can accept failure, but I cannot tolerate my own weakness. What is my goal? My goal, first and foremost, is to be myself, I am me, and only then comes everything else.”

”A will strong due to power is merely an illusion. Panic stemming from fear, leading to self-doubt - such behavior, no matter which part of me, I cannot endure such weakness.”

Karon lifted his bowed head, his scattered gaze refocusing, and his troubles were gently swept away by his newly gathered will, as if brushing off a speck of dust.

”If one’s will is strong enough, how can others easily influence oneself,” Karon clenched the Dragon Claw, and his massive figure stood up.

His inner self was re-examined by himself, his prideful nature discovered and acknowledged by himself, candid and relaxed.

”Just some rugged setbacks on the road,” Karon grinned, revealing his fangs, and whispered: ”A person has but one destiny, and that is the destiny I choose for myself!”

At this moment, a thread of pure and untainted power quietly emerged between Karon’s mind and flesh, a true Light of the Soul discovered and born from Karon himself, no longer the previous Power of Heart Energy nurtured by external influence.

This thread of Light of the Soul instantly transformed into a vast heart energy, filling Karon’s body. Karon’s physique shone anew, his muscles regained strength, his spirit started to expand, and his will began to widen.

Natis’ soul, attached to the scales on Karon’s body, also sensed this vast spiritual fluctuation, Red Dragon’s spirit emanating from the body and mind, bringing a heavy pressure to Natis.

A layer of brilliant light emerged from Red Dragon’s body, propelling Natis far away from the scales.

This fluctuation also alarmed the mages exploring the ruins, who quickly gathered there, only to see a massive brilliant light that was dazzling to the extent that they couldn’t see the shadow inside clearly.

Squinting Mage Hughes stared dumbstruck at the giant light, exuding the same imposing aura and might as his former teacher, Holy Sanctuary Mage Lapus, and couldn’t help but shout loudly: ”Mind Mage Master?”

Mind Mage is a mysterious and powerful path of cultivation.

A single sentence can summarize the might and omnipotence of Mind Mage; mighty fists, dazzling sword light, and prolonged magic all pale in comparison to a Mind Mage’s thoughts.

This superpower, originating from long-term stringent self-examination, wisdom training, and cultivation of spiritual abilities, required overcoming inner demons and unexpected challenges to be born within those who cleared their minds of distractions.

Aside from some naturally gifted seeds of Mind Mage, delving into one’s spiritual consciousness to unearth this hidden power within is extremely difficult, even more so than an ordinary person becoming a Mage.

Moreover, Karon was still a Red Dragon with inherent negative influences. To be able to become a Mind Mage was enough to astonish these mages, but what shocked them even more was that the mental power this Red Dragon possessed was already comparable to the magic ability of Holy Sanctuary Mage Lapus.

”This is truly a terrifying monster!” Squinting Mage sighed, closed his mouth as his statement was preempted by the surrounding mages.

Seeing the mages around him with their dumbstruck expressions, Squinting Mage felt pleased again, believing his will was more steadfast than these mages, who were surprised and lacking insight!

Although this comment from other mages was somewhat disrespectful to the Red Dragon, the surrounding Imperial Guard Warriors, who were not humans, held different views from humans.

They considered it a form of praise from the mages to the Red Dragon, and thus the tall Imperial Guard Warriors showed a satisfied look in their eyes that recognized good appraisal.

But Karon’s consciousness did not notice their reaction, as the newly born Light of the Soul had already merged into every part of his body, every piece of flesh, every organ, even every cell.

His body, including his soul and will, was enveloped and permeated by the Light of the Soul, eventually penetrating into the Evil Dragon Blood that had been lying dormant due to his will’s re-consolidation.

His former bloodline talent - Mental Overclocking - quietly shattered at this moment, transforming into countless runes, absorbed by the Light of the Soul infused into his bloodline, and a new ability quietly took shape within Karon’s body.

This is the supreme Power of the Mind born from dissected pride and pure willpower, so it possessed the ultimate dominion power - who is master of fate!

Boom, at the moment this ability was born, Karon’s will suddenly sensed all creatures, souls, and objects within the world linked to his heart energy.

The distant dim Holy Hall, despairing and twisted souls, unwilling heroic spirits, silent and uneasy beloved ones, all received feedback from his re-consolidated Power of the Mind.

The next instant, Karon’s will, across vast distances, suddenly descended, his Light of the Soul traversed long spaces, cascading down.
