Beneath the Red Dragon

”Giant...Giant Dragon! The Giant Dragon and his warriors are attacking,” the terrified and trembling screams echoed throughout the entire Elf Tribe.

Whoosh, the wind howled in the sky, as Blue Dragon Doss summoned the air currents, spreading the poisons researched by mages all over, covering every corner of the Elf Tribe.

The faces, old and young alike, that emerged from the trees were affected by the poison, immediately revealing expressions of agony, screaming painfully as they pulled out their branches, trying to block the approaching warriors.

”Grandpa’s axe is already thirsting for blood,” Barbarian Chief Jib, surrounded by totems and with muscles bulging, excitedly leapt up, roaring as he swung his axe, cleaving a War Tree-man in half.

Jackal Wolfman Yougu also roared, slicing another obstructing War Tree-man in two from top to bottom.

A roar erupted as an ancient War Ancient Tree, standing tens of meters tall, revealed an aged face. Its massive body came to life, sweeping its enormous branches to smack away the Red Dragon Kleyna, who was spraying Dragon Fire in midair.

But the next moment, Karon, riding the Blood-colored Holy Hall, descended from the sky. He seized this fleeting opportunity, sinking his claws deeply into the War Ancient Tree’s trunk, standing atop its lush canopy, taking a deep breath, and spewing out destructive, violent, pale Dragon Fire.

Whoosh,

The incredibly intense Dragon Fire instantly ignited the War Ancient Tree, which had crossed into the Saint Tier Domain through endless years.

The Red Dragon’s ferocious Dragon Fire was its nemesis, and weakened by the specially targeted poison, it could only helplessly wave its branches, struggling in the Dragon Fire. Its deep life essence allowed it to persist a little longer but also prolonged its period of suffering.

Other warriors avoided this area to prevent friendly fire, while unfortunate elves, mistakenly relying on the War Ancient Tree, were crushed to death as it fell.

White Dragon Camid circled an elderly War Tree-man, deftly avoiding its strikes while slicing off its branches with his claws.

With the best hunting skills, the White Dragon navigated the battle with ease, patiently whittling the Tree-man into twigs before delivering the final lethal blow.

Black Dragon Rosani scattered the deathly swamp from above and occasionally sprayed his potent acid venom onto areas populated by elves, causing elf warriors to die in agony.

Rumbling, Centaur Chiron led the fully armored Centaur Cavalry through the breached gap into the Elf Tribe; the armored cavalry were nightmares for any infantry.

A squad of elf warriors bravely confronted the invaders, but the charging Centaur Cavalry didn’t even need to wield weapons, simply skewering the elves on their spears.

Following behind the Centaur Cavalry, warriors spread throughout the Half-Elf Tribe, striking towards elves’ necks with each blow, fearlessly relying on their iron armor, making the elf camp littered with rolling heads.

”Attack that Tree of Life; all the important figures of the Elf Tribe are there,” Jackal Wolfman Yougu, drenched in elf blood, raised his war axe high, shouting to Centaur Chiron.

At the top of the Tree of Life, protected by the Natural Protection Barrier of the Tree of Life and the Natural Divine Art Barrier of the elf Elders, layers of surging energy were gathering, the elves Druids and Elders seemingly casting some large-scale magic or divine art.

Many elf Druids stood guard before the Tree of Life’s council hall and leapt down when they saw invaders charging, transforming into Earth Battle Bears and towering Giant Eagles to join the battlefield.

Roaring, an Ogre swung a Double-headed Flail, its massive strength generating a fierce wind as it struck an Earth Battle Bear’s claw. With a crack, the bear’s claw broke, emitting a scream of pain.

But the nearby Giant Demon, wielding a Big Stick, smashed the Druid-transformed bear’s skull open, triumphantly roaring with the Big Stick raised: ”Brain matter offerings for the Holy Hall, brain matter offerings for the Holy Hall!”

Other elf Druids on the Tree of Life cast spells, sprinkling seeds on the invaders, with thick vines sprouting instantly, attempting to bind and kill them.

But Jackal Wolfman Mage provided boosts and protection for the frontline warriors, causing those seeds to fall away, like deflected arrows, sprouting anew on the ground.

Yet the rapidly growing vines were quickly severed by the warriors rushing through, shrieking bizarrely as they shattered into countless tendrils.

Crack, a thick bolt of lightning struck down as Blue Dragon Doss, completing the storm, summoned Thunderbolts from the sky, flying to the top of the Tree of Life, spitting out Lightning Breath.

The slightly wounded Red Dragon Kleyna rejoined the battle, the enraged female dragon deeply inhaling and exhaling her increasingly potent Dragon Breath.

The Natural Shield of the Tree of Life and the magic shields of the Druids rapidly depleted, on the brink of breaking.

Bam, after resolving another War Ancient Tree, Karon propelled the Blood-colored Holy Hall into the fray. For the Red Dragon, the strongest weapon now was the Red Dragon’s body.

He rammed the Blood-colored Holy Hall directly against the Natural Shield, shattering it in an instant, revealing the terrified elf Elders in the council hall.

”Little rats, welcome the end of life!” Karon’s massive head blocked the entrance of the council hall, spewing sparks from his nose, as a scorching fire line spread from his belly to his throat.

Bam,

A terrifying molten stream of incalculable temperature erupted from the Red Dragon’s mouth, shattering the shields of the chanting elf Elders, igniting their bodies.

Bang, a violent explosion blossomed from the top of the Tree of Life, as uncontrollable massive Magic Power reacted intensely with the Red Dragon’s Dragon Fire, blasting the entire Tree of Life’s canopy to pieces, even pushing Karon far away.

Those elf warriors, who were fighting back with dwindling courage, instantly lost their courage, crying as they attempted to flee the battlefield but were mercilessly pursued by the warriors, who beheaded them.

Many elves immediately laid down their weapons, kneeling on the ground, pleading for the mercy of the Dragon’s Beloved, including Aiya.

This kind-hearted, day-dreaming elf Druid knelt in dejection, feeling somewhat resigned, the choices made bringing forth their fruits, granting her relief.

The Dragon’s warriors swept past the kneeling elves, their fate—be it life or death—resting with the Dragon, for despite their bloodlust, the Dragon’s will was supreme.

Warriors beheaded any elves daring to resist or attempting to escape, raising their enemies’ heads high, shouting towards the Blood-colored Holy Hall and the Dragons above: ”Blood sacrifice to the Holy Hall, skulls to the throne! Blood sacrifice to the Holy Hall, skulls to the throne!”

The Blood-colored Holy Hall radiated limitless luminescence, housing the souls singing the Dragon’s Song, guiding fallen heroic spirits, while the blood and souls of the enemy were absorbed, turning into vivid, lifelike murals.

Boom,

The Red Dragon’s body descended as he looked at the kneeling elves, laughing heartily: ”Go, go, I let you leave, you need to spread my will throughout this forest, in all the elf tribes, telling them that submitting to me will bring survival and prosperity, while opposing me will bring destruction and death!”

”Let all the elf tribes make a choice, to offer me those elven tribes attacking the camps, or to become, like these two tribes, medals for my warriors! I look forward to their choice!”

The Red Dragon pressed his robust claw against the enormous Tree of Life, his resolute will mingling with the Tree of Life’s quivering consciousness, his arrogant laughter echoing within it: ”Tell all the Trees of Life, those who submit shall prosper, those who resist shall perish!”
