I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

”Go urge the kitchen again.”

The little maids, seeing Gauss eating so quickly, hurriedly put pressure on the kitchen.

Actually, they had already informed the kitchen in advance when they predicted Gauss was about to finish this session of training, but unfortunately, the speed of cooking couldn’t keep up with Gauss’s eating speed.

They were very curious how Gauss, with a physique not particularly burly, managed to fit so much food, as if there was a magical spatial anomaly in his stomach.

Gauss felt the food entering his body, transforming into a continuous stream of warmth replenishing his slightly empty body, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.

Eating a lot is never a bad thing for an adventurer.

He has never heard of a famous adventurer troubled by food expenses.

While waiting for the food, he continued to perceive the changes brought about by this rank breakthrough.

In addition to a total increase of 7 attribute points, he also gained a new profession specialty ”Cannon Mage.”

The effect of this specialty is exactly as the name suggests.

When he is stationary or moving relatively slowly, he can concentrate his mind to enhance various abilities of the spells he casts, including range, power, casting cooldown, magic piercing, control, and so on, all of which will be somewhat improved.

This may sound unimpressive, and even requires him to slow down his movements during casting, but considering this is the true combat mode of a mage, and his interference resistance, magic resistance, physical resistance, and protective capabilities are very good, along with teammate assistance, entering cannon mode poses no great disadvantages.

He just needed such a ”Cannon Mage” specialty, making it easier to kill a large number of minor enemy figures.

In his current feeling, he could clearly sense that sitting still, his understanding of magic power and spell models has doubled.

Unfortunately, this place is not suitable for practice; otherwise, he would be eager to test the power of this specialty.

Moreover, after reaching level 6, his mastery of various spells, especially level 1 and level 2 spells, has reached an extremely high level.

Gauss took more than an hour to finish eating.

”That’s enough, I’m full.”

Gauss said to the maid who was still preparing to urge the kitchen.

This was the most he had ever eaten for lunch.

”Thank you for the hospitality.”

”It’s what we should do. Lord Gauss, are you leaving now?” The head maid asked as she saw him stand up.

”Yes, I’ve kept you accompanying me for so many days.”

Gauss stretched lazily, exercising his hands and feet.

Apart from the changes on the panel, there were many enhancements that couldn’t be reflected on paper but were rather an enigmatic improvement.

He now felt that his mental and physical state was significantly better than before, a grade higher.

In normal conditions, it’s like the best and most focused state before the breakthrough.

A kind of indescribable comfort.

If his body was like equipment, not only hardware upgrades, the software system seemed to be upgraded to a higher version.

This makes the same attribute allow this body to exert 120%, or even 150% strength.

Gauss even felt that this kind of indescribable ”software level” improvement had a greater impact than attribute value, offering a constant gain buff.

No wonder, unless like his pre-breakthrough self, it’s difficult for ordinary people to cross ranks and defeat opponents.

With respectful farewells from the maids and guards, Gauss rode the chocobo and left Hot Spring Manor.

He rode his mount along the clean and tidy inner city avenue.

Attracting the attention of many citizens coming and going.

However, Gauss did not pay attention to the discussions of others but headed straight towards Aaliyah’s training garden.

Wondering if she had also finished her breakthrough training as he did.

”Stop.”

Upon arrival, Gauss tightened the reins.

Then he dismounted from his ride.

”Has Aaliyah finished her training?”

Gauss asked the guard running towards him.

”No, my lord, not yet.”

Gauss nodded upon hearing the answer, signaling the other guards not to follow.

He strolled into the forest.

His movements were light and slow, afraid of disturbing Aaliyah.

But considering that Aaliyah’s breakthrough failed last time, he wanted to personally observe her situation this time, at least from afar.\p>

If any more accidents occurred, failing twice in a short period would significantly impact her.

Many professionals remain stagnant, sometimes due to various accidents causing breakthrough backlash, leaving hidden injuries.

Walking in the forest.

He felt as though the vegetation around was more full of vitality.\p>

Upon close observation, even tender green grass buds popped up underfoot, painting a lively picture of all things competing to grow.

But now, it’s clearly autumn, even preparing to enter winter.\p>

If the trees were special evergreen species, then these exuberant grass sprouts seem somewhat unusual.\p>

Gauss’s mouth curved slightly.\p>

It actually indicated that Aaliyah’s breakthrough this time was going smoothly.\p>

Gauss restrained his aura.\p>

A white deer in the forest lowered its head to graze on young grass, suddenly twitching its ears as it looked cautiously towards a part of the forest.\p>

Gauss unhurriedly emerged from within.\p>

The deer kicked its front legs, appearing ready to flee.\p>

However, Gauss beckoned to it.\p>

The deer seemed to sense his inner peace and restored its calmness.\p>
