I Am Not A Goblin Slayer

The Red Dragon, utmost rigid and strong, utmost fierce and bright.

When such a monster is enraged, one must avoid its sharp edge.

Moreover, they came prepared, whether it’s the monster servants they command or the binding spell formations, the dragon crossbows, all are means to target it.

The situation is well under control.

Meanwhile, the Dragon Worship Sect followers, who were ready to approach the unconscious Aaliyah to take her away and throw her into the cage, hadn’t yet touched her body before being pushed away by a strong and forceful energy.

A gentle silver light orb emerged from within her body, enveloping her like a protective shield.

”Boss!”

The assassin dodged the aftermath caused by the Dragon Beast, while looking up towards his junior.

Seeing Aaliyah floating in the air, gradually emanating pure moonlight, his eyes contracted instantly.

The holy power released from her body made her look like a spirit of nature.

He took a deep breath.

Originally, he thought this Dragon Beast was the main target of the trip, and this woman was just a side piece to lure Dragon-man Gauss.

But now it seems this Druid is quite formidable, possibly of significant background.

As is well known, the Dragon Worship Sect is always keen on collecting various creatures with unusual powers, humans, monsters, whether dead or alive, all can become excellent experimental material.

His figure flickered, arriving in front of Aaliyah in the blink of an eye.

Warily looking at the light orb before him.

He swiftly swung his short blade.

The short blade slashed through the air like crimson lightning, sweeping past the light orb shield.

”Boom!”

His body was instantly flung away, a force impossible to resist rebounded from the shield.

After a few sect followers used their bodies as a human cushion, he climbed up from the ground, looking towards Aaliyah, licking his tongue.

”What an intriguing power.”

Just now when he swung the short blade, he had the illusion of fighting against the entire forest.

”No, perhaps not an illusion.”

His peripheral vision glanced at the surrounding trees, faintly sensing a hostility.

As an assassin, his perception of danger has always been sensitive.

”Ignore the Druid for now, focus on dealing with the Dragon Beast, and stay away from the forest.”

He cautiously instructed his subordinates.

Though he did not understand what kind of power protects the unconscious Druid, he knew the situation favored them.

Even if they couldn’t handle the light shield.

Once the powerful Dragon Priestess arrives, there will be a way.

”Hahaha—”

Thinking of this, he could not restrain his laughter.

The harvest of this trip is indeed tremendous.

Perhaps this unremarkable Druid could bring more gains than the Dragon Beast.

Soon enough, he could rise in rank, become a regional steward, ascend as a Dragon Priestess, subjugate a dracolich, don a purple robe, flip a city into ruin, and become a nightmare controlling countless lives’ destinies.

”Charge, my men!”

...

Time passes little by little.

Under Dragon Beast Hephaestus, a field of corpses is left behind.

Crimson blood soaks the ground into a deep dark red, even the nearby pool of water turns bright red.

”Hah-hah, hah-hah.”

Hephaestus lowered its dragon head, panting heavily.

Its throat seemed to be on fire.

Several stubborn purple wounds were gushing out dark blood, evidence of toxins ravaging its body.

If not for being a Dragon Beast, possessing a giant dragon’s strong body and resilient life force, or even the Red Dragon bloodline, had it been White Dragon or Black Dragon bloodlines, it might have collapsed.

Its increasingly tired, clouded eyes looked towards the surrounding enemies.

Those who originally feared it, hiding far behind monster ranks, now approached and surrounded it.

”Roar!!!”

It roared in hatred, wanting to strip them of flesh and bones, drink their blood, chew their meat, but the burden and toxins growing upon it deprived it of its strength to resist.

”Bewildered Red Dragon Beast, why struggle in vain?”

Scholar Nolan approached the Dragon Beast, his voice becoming deep and melodic, like a hypnotic chant, reciting slowly.

”Join the Dragon Worship Sect.”

”We will serve your growth, Tiamat’s breath will permeate your bones; abyssal scales will cover your flesh; and you will become immortal.”

Nolan tried to depict a beautiful picture for Dragon Beast Hephaestus.

There, it would no longer be a simple and dull Dragon Beast, but transform with the help of the Dragon Worship Sect to become an undead being.

”Spit!!”

Facing Nolan’s enticement, Hephaestus showed disdain and mockery with a hint of humanity.

Did these ants really think it was a mindless Dragon Beast?

Could it not discern who treated it well and who treated it poorly?

A feeble flame spewed from the corner of its mouth.

It landed on the ground where Nolan originally stood, melting into a head-sized pit.

This breath, extremely weak in attack, but highly insulting.

Dodging aside, Nolan’s face turned furious.

”Alright.”

”Increase the casting intensity!”

”Yes.”

Around them, the formal members of the Dragon Worship Sect raised their magic staffs high, magic power gushed out like black-red ribbons from the tips, then binding Hephaestus’s body all over.

Accompanied by murmuring chants, the restraints tightened continuously.

Causing a pained expression on Hephaestus’s face.

Suddenly.

Hephaestus struggled to lift its eyelids.

Enduring the pain, it seemed to sense a familiar smell in the air.
