Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1050: Chapter 786: Dumbledore’s Purpose

Because there were still things to handle, Professor McGonagall and Professor Sprout left early around noon.

Then it was Mr. Weasley, who also had to return to the Ministry of Magic early due to some affairs.

Now that the Ministry of Magic has just been rebuilt, it’s the busiest time, and it’s already quite a privilege for them to take half a day off.

As Moody was preparing to leave, Kael found him first and asked, ”Alastor, are you sure that Bathilda is really herself?”

”I can’t guarantee there’s nothing wrong.” Moody’s blue Magic Eye spun quickly a few times, ”But so far, I haven’t found any problems. She hasn’t drunk anything for over three hours, so we can rule out Polyjuice Potion. As for Imperio... with Dumbledore here, she can’t do anything.”

After speaking, Moody limped to a place beyond the Protective Magic and Apparated away.

”Yes, with Dumbledore here, there’s really nothing to worry about,” Kael muttered to himself.

But being watched continuously made him uncomfortable, so after pondering for a moment, Kael decided to ask clearly.

He approached Bathilda, and before he could open his mouth, the old witch berated him outright:

”Why are you still here!”

”What?” Kael didn’t comprehend, not understanding what she meant... why shouldn’t he be here.

”Uh, I’m here to attend Lupin and Tonks’ wedding,” he said, ”Ms. Bathilda, you...”

”Why haven’t you gone to apologize to Abeforth?” Bathilda spoke again, but this time the content left Kael even more puzzled.

Abeforth?

He should be in the Hog’s Head Pub in Hogsmeade with that goat, why should I go and apologize to him.

However, the next second, he heard a name that should not appear here in any case.

”Let me tell you, if it weren’t for you insisting on chatting with Albus, he wouldn’t have forgotten to prepare lunch for Ariana, Abeforth has every reason to be angry.

”You made a mistake, you should apologize, not just to Abeforth, but also to Ariana, that child has already been through enough.”

”Wait...” Kael instinctively said, ”Who did you just mention?”

”Ariana Dumbledore, my sister,” came a familiar voice from behind.

Kael turned to look.

Unbeknownst to him, Dumbledore had already appeared there, right next to them.

”You should have seen her, the largest painting in my office.”

With Dumbledore’s arrival, the sounds around seemed to fade away, the music and the Weasley Brothers’ screams grew fainter, as if they had abruptly been moved miles away.

”But professor, why would Ms. Bathilda say these things to me?” Kael asked.

”Obviously, she’s mistaken you for someone else,” Dumbledore replied ambiguously.

”And you, Albus, shouldn’t you be at home right now? Why are you out again,” Bathilda looked at Dumbledore, ”and if you could, would you take off that fake beard? It looks really ridiculous.”

”My beard isn’t fake, Bathilda, take a closer look?” Dumbledore said.

He gently waved his hand, and a clear, melodious song rang out from afar.

In the overlapping clouds, a patch of gold and red appeared, as Phoenix Fawkes flapped its wings, flew down, and perched on Dumbledore’s shoulder.

The phoenix’s song was like a clear stream, flowing through everyone’s ears.

In the song, Bathilda blinked her cloudy eyes twice and looked up at Dumbledore.

”Albus, it’s so good to see you again.”

For some reason, Kael felt her voice sounded much older than before, and her body seemed even more hunched.

”Where am I?” she asked, seemingly having forgotten what she had just done.

”Taking a walk,” Dumbledore took two steps forward, ”but now we should head back, this way, we need to turn ahead.”

”I’m not senile, I know the way, don’t need you to remind me,” Bathilda said discontentedly, ”But is Hogwarts so idle these days? You just visited me yesterday, and now you’re here again today.”

Dumbledore didn’t respond, just nodded lightly.

However, Kael knew very well, Dumbledore had just been robbed of the Elder Wand and just dealt with the Ministry of Magic being attacked by Death Eaters, busy beyond measure, it was impossible for him to have had time to visit Bathilda, she must have mistaken the time again.

As the two walked further and further away, Kael just glanced back at the lively wedding dance floor and followed without hesitation.

Compared to dancing, he felt the upcoming events would be much more interesting.

Bathilda stumbled along the way back, turning into a path after passing a few houses. She fumbled on herself for a while, took out a key, opened the door, and stepped aside to let them in.

”Come in, Albus, but I don’t have good tea to offer.”

”I’ve already had enough to drink,” Dumbledore said. He walked into the house and skillfully waved his hand.

A breeze blew away the foul smell inside the house.

Then Kael also walked in.

”Who is he?” Bathilda asked.

”One of my students,” Dumbledore said, ”He said he wanted to visit the historian who wrote Magic History, so I brought him along.”
