Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1018: Chapter 775: The True Target of the Death Eaters (Part 2)

From a long time ago, Phineas’s portrait has been acting as an informant, conveying the messages he receives from Dumbledore to the members of the Order of Phoenix.

”Is this how you treat your great-great-grandfather?” Phineas was very dissatisfied with Sirius’s attitude, and refused to speak with a stern face.

”Hurry up!” Sirius said impatiently, ”Otherwise, I’ll throw your portrait out, even if you’ve used a Stickfast Hex, I can take down the whole wall. You know I mean it.”

”What a disgrace, how did the Black Family produce such an eccentric like you!” Phineas’s face turned even darker, but in order not to leave the ancestral home, he still said with a stern face:

”That Fudge, is dead!”

The room fell silent once again, but whether it was an illusion or not, Kael always felt that a few people looked relieved, as if glad it wasn’t the news they imagined.

Only Hermione was in disbelief.

”Are you talking about the Minister of Magic?” She almost screamed as she asked.

”What, wasn’t I clear enough?” Phineas raised an eyebrow, ”Then I’ll say it again, the Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge has been killed by Death Eaters in the Ministry of Magic.”

”Alright, shut up, we understand.” Sirius interrupted him once again,

Phineas glanced at him in disgust, then said in a mocking tone, ”Just an hour ago, the Ministry of Magic suffered a massive attack by Death Eaters. With the help of an insider, they directly found Fudge hiding in his office and killed him.”

”I thought you already knew.”

No one cared about his tone.

One hour ago, wasn’t that when they were rescuing Harry?

Now everything was clear.

From the beginning, the Death Eaters had planned it all, they set up two decoys at Privet Drive, making the Order of Phoenix think they wanted to target Harry.

But in fact, their target was the Minister of Magic.

Taking advantage of the fact that the entire Order of Phoenix’s attention was on Harry, they broke into the poorly-guarded Ministry of Magic and killed Fudge, truly a well-crafted plot.

Although Fudge wasn’t that great a person, his position represented the Ministry of Magic, and his death was undoubtedly a significant blow to the Magic Realm.

Not to mention there were many other key figures in the Ministry of Magic... The Magic Transportation Department, which controls the Floo Network, Apparition, and Portkeys, and the Law Enforcement Department that sets the rules — with the Ministry of Magic in chaos, the entire Magic Realm would be in disarray.

Moreover, the Ministry of Magic is also a crucial channel for foreign communication, and if the news of Fudge’s death got out, their reputation would be utterly ruined.

”Damn Death Eaters!”

Kingsley was the first to react. As an Auror, he only felt his face burn hot, as if someone slapped him, and he immediately dashed out of the door.

Then Tonks, Moody, and Mr. Weasley also left.

Before this, they all thought the Death Eaters disappeared to deal with Dumbledore, so no one wanted to be the first to hear about Dumbledore’s death, waiting here instead, only to be faced with this unexpected outcome.

”It’s okay.” Mrs. Weasley forced a slight smile and said to the remaining people, ”At least we now know the Death Eaters did not attack Dumbledore, right?”

Yes, although the Death Eaters gave everyone a big slap, fortunately it wasn’t the worst outcome they had imagined, which was why some people subconsciously breathed a sigh of relief earlier.

”I’m going too.” Kael said.

He remembered he was nominally the Minister’s assistant, and Cedric, who also worked at the Ministry of Magic, he had to go check on him.

”And me.”

”I’m in too!”

Fred and George obviously also thought of Cedric and immediately followed.

”I want to go too.” Harry said.

”No!” Mrs. Weasley grabbed him, ”It’s best if you stay here, only here is safe enough.”

Harry only felt his stomach churning, his mood hit rock bottom, it was for his safety that the Order of Phoenix ignored the Ministry of Magic, leading to it being attacked by the Death Eaters.

He didn’t know what happened, nor how many people died, but he couldn’t do anything about it.

Harry rubbed his forehead, the scar was throbbing again, it hadn’t hurt like this for a long time.

”And in case the Death Eaters haven’t left, I could help...”

”Don’t worry, it will be fine.” Mrs. Weasley hugged Harry tightly, as if comforting him, or maybe herself, ”It’s okay, your safety is just as important, they will be fine.”

Soon, only he, Hermione, Ron, and Ginny, these students who hadn’t graduated yet, were left in the room, with Mrs. Weasley guarding the door to prevent them from sneaking out.

”I don’t understand why Kael can leave, but we can’t!” Harry said a little angrily.

”I think it might be because Kael has graduated.” Hermione said in a low voice.

”How about using the Invisibility Cloak?” Ron proposed, ”Mom definitely won’t guard us all the time, as long as we wear the Invisibility Cloak, we can sneak out...”

”Don’t even think about it!” Ginny glared at him, ”If Harry gets into danger at the Ministry, everything we did before would be for nothing.”

”Yeah.” Hermione said, ”At least now we’ve successfully rescued Harry.”

Again with his safety...

Listening to their words, Harry’s stomach felt worse, the pumpkin juice he drank earlier seemed to turn into countless fists, pummeling his stomach.
