Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1021: Chapter 776: The Forgotten Weasley (Part 2)

Also, last time Kael came to the Ministry of Magic for questioning, the other party argued fiercely with Fudge and, after the results came out, voluntarily offered to help Kael contact the Wizengamot.

So Kael always had a good impression of her.

Moreover, more importantly, Amelia Bones consistently opposed Voldemort from the beginning, even after nearly being killed by Death Eaters, and this never changed.

Capability, responsibility, position... Such a person is indeed most suitable to become the new Minister of Magic.

”What a pity.” George suddenly sighed, saying, ”I thought you’d be the Minister of Magic.”

”Who, me?” Kael pointed to himself.

”Who else?” Fred said with a mischievous smile, ”It certainly couldn’t be me. Although I don’t have any objections personally, I’m afraid others might disagree.”

”Don’t worry, I’d be the first to oppose.” George said.

”What are you guys thinking.” Kael shrugged, calmly piecing together a shattered window and setting it back in its original place. ”Let’s put it this way, only if everyone was crazy would they let a wizard who just graduated from Hogwarts become the Minister of Magic during wartime.

”If someone did propose this idea, even Dumbledore would be suspected of being under You-Know-Who’s Imperio.”

”That’s why I said it’s a pity.” George whispered, ”An eighteen-year-old Minister of Magic, if successful, you’d become a legend.”

”Or maybe a joke.” Kael looked at him, ”Besides, I just graduated and don’t want to enter another, even larger and busier ’castle’ so soon.”

”Is this why you haven’t been to work all this time?” Fred couldn’t help but laugh, ”I must remind you, Ms. Bones just said she’d dock your pay for half a month.”

”That’s fine, it’s reasonable.” Kael also laughed.

Ever since he entered the seventh grade, he hadn’t come to the Ministry of Magic, yet he received his monthly salary without missing a single Knut. He basically did nothing but collected a whopping eighteen hundred Galleons.

As a result, just now when meeting Amelia Bones, Fred and George both received her gratitude, while he got scolded for being absent for so long and had half a month’s salary docked.

But Kael thought Amelia Bones probably meant for him to return to work at the Ministry of Magic soon.

He hadn’t worked at the Ministry of Magic for over a year, but only got docked seventy-five Galleons. This sort of punishment hardly seemed serious, more like a reminder.

However, Kael hadn’t decided whether to return here yet... Mainly because working at the Ministry of Magic was too constraining, whereas being with the Order of the Phoenix felt freer, as long as he was opposing Death Eaters, it didn’t really matter where he was, no difference.

...

After some time, the Ministry of Magic’s aftermath work had almost finished, and Cedric finally returned, looking dusty, but quite energetic.

”Mr. Digory told me everything.” George went up to him for a hug, ”You’re quite lucky.”

”Yeah, I feel the same way.” Cedric said, ”But why are you still here?”

”Isn’t that a bit hurtful?” Fred glared at him in displeasure, ”We’ve been worrying about you all along.”

”Exactly.” George echoed by his side, ”After hearing about the Ministry of Magic’s attack, we rushed over to ensure your safety, and now you’re trying to shoo us away?”

”No, I didn’t mean it like that.” Cedric hurriedly shook his head, ”It’s just that when I was at St Mungo’s, I ran into Mr. Weasley and thought you all should have gone there too.”

”Dad? What happened to him?” Fred was startled and immediately asked.

”Mr. Weasley’s fine.” Cedric said, ”I was talking about Percy, he was previously controlled by Death Eaters using Imperio, and then hit with a Crucio Curse during the battle, making him one of the first sent to St Mungo’s.

”So compared to me, I think you’d prefer visiting your brother, wouldn’t you?”

Fred and George instantly fell silent, both with their mouths open, looking at each other.

They now realized what they had forgotten... They forgot Percy also worked at the Ministry of Magic, and his office was located on the same floor as the Minister’s office.

”Uh... Fred.” George turned his head stiffly, ”Do you think if we say we were helping at the Ministry of Magic, Mum might forgive us?”

”I think... she might mercifully leave each of us with an ear.” Fred gulped and said with difficulty.

”Then what are we waiting for!”

”Damn it!”

Then they couldn’t concern themselves with deep friendship, pushed aside Cedric who was blocking their path, and dashed outside quickly.

”So... they forgot Percy, right?” Cedric asked softly.

”I think so.” Kael said.

Not just Fred and George, even he had forgotten about Percy.

Originally, it wasn’t a big deal; ever since Percy graduated, his presence had diminished, sometimes Kael subconsciously forgot that the Weasley family had such a member.

But now the key issue was, Percy was injured, and judging by Cedric’s tone, it seemed quite serious.

No wonder they saw Sirius, also saw Tonks, Kingsley, but not Mr. Weasley, Bill, or Charlie... No doubt they immediately went to inquire about Percy’s condition, then rushed to St Mungo’s.
